Namjoon's POV
The guys and I were chilling in the game room playing a card game called Crazy 8. Danny figured it was time to take a break from all the electronic games and wanted to teach us a card game. Apparently it is a very popular game in South Africa.
I wondered where the girls were. Zee had left us after breakfast to go take a nap and Jazz had hurriedly left the room after getting the call. She had a worried look on her face which made me wonder if something was wrong.
"Okay, so what does the Joker card mean again," Hobi asked, bringing me back to reality.
"It means you jump Namjoon's turn and it will be Jin's turn instead," Danny explained.
"Aaah! Sorry Joon," Hobi apologised.
I just shook my head as I couldn't wrap my head around this game. I kept thinking about Zee and wondering if she was going to join us soon.
"Hey guys; do mind if we borrow Danny for a bit. We have to talk to him," Jazz said, appearing out of nowhere.
"Sure, is everything okay," Danny asked.
"No, it's about Jake," Jazz responded and left to go talk outside.
The patio was close to the game room and I could hear that Zee was with them. They were gone for about 20 minutes and it sounded like whatever they were discussing was something serious.
"Why does it sound like something is wrong," Yoongi asked, looking at me.
"Maybe you should go outside and find out what it is about," Jin suggested.
"I don't think I should, I mean technically whatever is going on is between them," I said, opposing the idea.
"What if it involves us well RM?" Hobi asked, "It's best we find out in order to help them out," he concluded.
I looked at the guys and as much as I hated to admit it, they were right. "What if the problem they have involved us as well?" I thought to myself
I got up from the table and made my way towards the patio. The closer I got to the door, the clearer I heard Danny debating with Zee regarding protecting Jake and the team. I couldn't help but wonder what they were talking about.
"Zee, it's best we tell Jake. What's the point of keeping this from him?" Danny asked.
"Keeping what from whom?" I asked, stepping out onto the patio.
Zee and the others went dead silent and started to look at each other. They seemed very reluctant to tell me what the issue was.
"Judging by the looks on your faces, something serious is up. Care to share the problem," I said.
Zee looked at the others before telling me everything about Jenna. She explained how she got Jazz's fiancé to look into her as they were worried about her gathering information about the competition from Jake. Instead they found out that the girl is a psycho on heels. I was shocked to find this out as this also jeopardized my group's safety.
"So when do we tell Jake?" I asked, with a serious look.
"Soon, but until then we have to keep an eye on this girl," Zee said in response.
"Why can't we tell him tonight when he comes back? I mean he has to know", I argued.
"Yes he does but Jake hates it when we stick our nose in his business," Jazz explained.
"And besides, the last thing we need is a rift between us during the competition," Zee said.
"Seriously Zee, this girl can snap at any minute. What was the point of looking Jenna up if we're not going to tell Jake?" Danny asked.
"Because I thought the outcome was going to be different. Now it involves his safety as well as ours," Zee responded aggressively.
"Look, for now let's keep it among ourselves and keep a close eye on Jake and Jenna," Jazz suggested.
Zee agreed with Jazz's suggestion and Danny, who was still upset about the whole situation, agreed as well. I understood where he was coming from as there were others we had to think of. I found myself saying no without any hesitation, not agreeing with them.
"Excuse me? Did you just say no?" Zee asked.
"Look I understand where you're coming from but I have to protect my group. You can't seriously expect me to keep this from them," I stated.
"I'm not asking you to keep it from them; I'm asking you to not tell Jake. You are more than welcome to tell the others provided they don't tell Jake," Zee argued back.
"Zee, I can't guarantee that they will not say anything and you can't expect me to not tell them. They're safety is at stake and it's my responsibility to make sure they are protected," I said.
"The mere fact that you think I would jeopardize they're lives is astounding. I care about your group as much as I do mine and I wouldn't do anything to hurt them," she said in defense.
Tears were starting to well up in her eyes. I realised right there and then that I had unintentionally accused her of not caring about my group.
"Zee, listen-"
"No!" she said interrupting me, "Just leave me alone," she concluded before going back inside.
Jazz followed after her, with a worried look in her eyes. I had no idea how to fix this as I had hurt someone I care about. Danny came towards me and put his hand on my shoulders. He gave me a slight squeeze assuring me that it will all be ok.
"You want to go tell the others?" he asked, with a faint smile.
I nodded and we both headed back to the game room where the others were. I couldn't stop thinking about Zee and how I hurt her. I had to somehow make it up to her as I didn't want to lose her.
