Chief Adam's Office.
"So, you want my help?" Anna asked and pointing at the doodled papers, she further frowned, "In this stupid plan?"
Both of them instantly nodded, their eyes filled with both hope and fear. Without thinking twice, Kyra decided to try their luck and explained everything to Anna. But, Kevin was still regretting her decision, unsure if Anna would help them. Worse, drag to them Chief Adams and put them behind the radars!
"Seriously, Kevin? You agreed to her plan?" Anna asked, still surprised that Kevin was willing to work with Kyra! And, was also taking risks with fatal outcomes! When did he transform into this new phase? She briefly thought when Kevin nodded with a sigh.
"Are you sure?" She pressed again and Kevin just sighed, annoyedly. He was tired of explaining to them why he wanted to endanger his life! He just wanted to help that girl, it was as simple as that!
"Stop looking at him like that! He isn't sinning here!" Kyra was the one to break Anna's serious stare. But, she regretted it when Anna shifted her stare, more turned into a glare towards her.
"What about the soul then?" Anna asked, crossing her arms.
Yeah, the first part of their plan sounded good. It would be accessible if all of them coordinated well, and that would surely drag out the culprit! But, who would extract that trapped soul inside the Wendigo? Kevin now thought as Kyra hadn't mentioned anything about it here.
"Yup! I forgot to ask about that part!" He couldn't help but question her. It was the most important part of their mission, and he wanted to make sure it was handled perfectly.
"I will take care from there," Kyra mumbled, scratching her brow. She had planned bigger troubles for herself in this mission, and Anna knew it very well.
As Kyra just pursed her lips, she pushed her to the edge, "Come on! Tell us!"
"I will summon a Grim Reaper!" Uttered the valiant one gathering all her energy.
"And how?" Anna asked though she knew the answer. She was just irritated about her plans and Kyra felt it very well.
"By using black magic!" Kyra answered, holding her breath.
"But, yeah don't worry! I can do it perfectly! Without any flaws! I am experienced in it!" She babbled, more specifically to Kevin who just stared at her in disbelief.
"You still want to go with her stupid plan?" Anna asked looking at Kevin.
"Kevin, I am asking you!" Anna held his hand as Kevin was lost in his thoughts.
She was insane? He was trying to digest that fact!
"You will be going against the rules! Just sneaking out of this building will serve you detention. Worry more about the consequences you will face for involving in this unpermitted mission." Anna added, unbothered by Kyra's intense glare, "Even if you succeed or lose, those people will make sure to punish you. And trust me, it will be severe as you are even intending to summon a creature from hell!"
Anna just wanted to test their courage level, and also how serious they were about helping the girl. While Kyra was all ready to knock out that culprit, she was doubting Kevin's emotions which were fluctuating in his eyes. They needed to be fearless and bold, willing to sacrifice anything, and accept the disadvantages deeply hidden in this undercover operation.
"We are doing this for the girl, Kevin! No more hidden agendas! Don't forget that!" Kyra reminded him again. They were doing this for the girl, just for the girl, and that should be the only thing their mind needed to reciprocate!
Anna's words weighed more in his head than Kyra's affirmation. His mind started splitting into two, between right and wrong! Between his deep fears that were now overpowering his little courage. But, amidst this chaos, he started hearing the girl's cry, her suffering flashed as scenes in the back of his head. And all those stinging memories turned his eyes red, his heart trying to transform that stress level into a weird pain.
He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. It was hard to just forget those scenes, that pity trapped soul and his mind immediately made a decision, "I am willing to take a chance!"
Kyra finally released her breath while Anna, smiled with content. She was glad he was willing take a different path this time. She was now seeing the qualities Andrew wanted Kevin to cultivate, slowly bud inside him. And she was proud about the same!
"Fine, then! I will help you guys!" Anna declared, taking the paper in her hand.
"I knew you would agree!" Kyra squealed, hugging her sideways while Kevin just smiled in relief. At least, there would be someone to guide him now throughout the process!
"Why is that?" Anna asked, smiling as Kyra continued to squeeze her tightly.
"Because you have a kind heart! The one that beats for innocent lives!" Kyra cheekily added, and she could only shake her head as Kyra giggled with her. This girl sure was good with words, both at buttering and cursing!
"Let's hurry and prepare then!" Anna suggested breaking the hug, and Kyra immediately spread another paper to write down things. She was badly missing her tab, but sticking to old ways was safe. She didn't wish to leave behind any clues about this mission!
After discussing for almost 20 minutes, they all took each of their review papers and sighed out loudly.
Tweaking a few of the things under Anna's guidance, Kyra sighed looking at her plan which looked so simple. Only if it was easy enough for them to execute flawlessly! She could only pray for that to turn true!
Soon, her clock started ticking in a red alarm and Kyra panicked coming back from her thoughts. They were so involved in the plan that they forgot about the outside world. It had been almost an hour and they needed to move out, and make everything look normal to their Chief's eyes.
"Let's part here and meet again in 20 minutes!" Kyra ordered, showing the ticking time and the other two nodded, before cleaning the coffee table. While Anna took out all their draft papers, Kevin went to change the water in the jar.
Kyra got up and hurried towards the broken vase, the one Kevin had thrown earlier. She now understood that it was not in anger but in hopes of finding the chip inside. Luckily, they found it before he destroyed something else out for fun!
She took a deep breath and stretched her palm which slowly started glowing in purple. The pieces soon were lifted from the ground with her spell and using her inner powers, she mended them back into one piece!
"Thank God!" She muttered, sighing out loud as the vase now looked clean, without any cuts. Taking it from the ground, she placed it over the side stand near the door.
"I will go to the library now!" Anna said and at their nod, she rushed before pointing at the cameras, "Make sure to deceive them properly!"
They both nodded, nervously sighing while cleaning the other dispositioned stuff in the room.
"You sure you cannot remodel it like the vase?" Kevin asked as he squatted down to clean the broken pieces of his phone.
"I warned you that you will regret it!" Kyra shrugged, holding back her smile. At least, she paid him for that outrage and that satisfied her wounded pride, just by a bit.
After cleaning and making sure that everything was back to its place, both sighed before sliding onto the couch. She scanned the room to make sure nothing was suspicious and sighed in relief.
"You ready?" Kyra asked looking at her watch, which was now alarming them to empty the office; in less than 10 minutes!!
"You sure they will let it slide?" Kevin in turn questioned back, unsure if Kyra's 'Make Out' plan would work on the people in the control room.
"Trust me, I raised bets on the same with Vennessa!" Kyra answered, obviously unsure if it would actually work out. It was all Venessa's plan and they just prayed for it to succeed.
"So, you ready?" Kyra asked again, her stomach now rumbling with weird sounds. Literally, she felt her heart stuck in her throat!
"I guess so," Kevin mumbled getting up from the couch. He awkwardly rubbed his neck, turning around as Kyra made her way to lay on the couch.
They had to convince people with their act and make it look clean. And, Anna's idea on how to end it, literally urged both of them to bury themselves! But, they were forced to agree as the time was now ticking like a bomb.
"Do we have to?" Kyra grumbled, adjusting herself on the couch and just holding her urge to puke out.
Kevin shrugged, standing like a statue as even his heart didn't wish to endure that torture.
"All for the girl!" He murmured bitterly, before almost falling over Kyra!! He placed his knee beside her legs, while his hands were on either side of her face.
Kyra's face heated up, while her legs wished to just kick him, very harshly! But she tried to calm down by taking a few deep irregular breaths.
"Trust me, I want to punch or kick you so badly!" She managed to utter, as he leaned over her. Their faces were now separated by at most an inch gap.
"I was in the same dilemma when you pinned me to the door!" Kevin replied his face paling with a similar expression as Kyra's. He was unable to hold himself in that position, not even for a minute!
"Now!" Kyra mumbled and snapped her fingers, unlocking all the hidden devices. Kevin at her order, moved closer, so closer for the cameras manipulated it into a kissing scene!
"Woah Woah! My eyes my eyes!" And in the control room, came the loud comment as the Chief Andrew room's screen returned to its normal state.
Soon, they saw Kyra pushing Kevin, so harshly that the poor guy almost fell to the ground. She adjusted her dress, while Kevin stood up on his feet. Turning around, she smiled at him, her shy eyes clearly gleaming even on the screen.
And much to their surprise, she walked to Kevin's side and everyone held their breaths as if they were watching some drama.
Grabbing his hand for support, Kyra slowly lifted her toes and planted a kiss on his cheek. And in the next minute, she was seen rushing out of the room, making most of them chuckle at her cute action.
While Kevin paled out, his ears almost turning red at that unexpected kiss! That wasn't included in the plan, was it? He thought holding his cheek as Kyra rushed out of the room.
"Aww, they are so cute!" Mumbled a lady sitting in front of the main screen in the control room. And others couldn't agree more looking at Kevin, who stood awestruck by that kiss.
Even Chief Maverick, who was cautiously observing the screen, couldn't agree less. His doubts started melting down the moment he saw them on the couch. And Kyra's unpredicted kiss almost nulled his suspicions about them.
