Chapter 9 - Chapter 8

I woke up groggy from sleeping to much and looked at my clock.

10:32 a.m.

I groaned and rolled out of bed hungry. I looked at myself in the mirror and at my messy clothes from yesterday that I slept in and sighed. I decided to change into a pair of jean shorts and a plain white t-shirt and walked out.

I got downstairs and saw Sebastian with his headphones on probably playing music and Alex drinking some water.

"Where is everyone?" I asked grabbing a protein bar from the pantry and opening it. Sebastian must have not heard me from his absent reaction but Alex did.

"Christopher is at work, Jake and Johnathan are in their rooms, and Drake is who knows where."

I took in what he said and finished my bar. I threw away the wrapper and began heading back to my room.

"Hey would you like to go to the park with me?"

I turned back and looked at Alex.

"Why?"

"Well it's weird for me to go alone and Sebastian won't talk to me let alone move."

I thought about it and shrugged.

"Sure but I won't really do anything."

"That's fine by me."

"Let me grab something real quick first," I said quickly heading to my room. I grabbed a book I was reading for class and went back down. Alex was standing at door with a soccer ball in his hand waiting for me. I froze almost at the end of the stairs and chocked.

That soccer ball... it was Justin's.

"Hey you commin'?"

I snapped back into reality and got to him. "Yeah, sorry."

"Where are you two going?"

We both turned to the different voice we heard only to see Sebastian standing in the hallway.

"To the park. Wanna come?" Alex asked pointing to the door.

Sebastian took a good look at me and looked off to the side. "Sure, I guess."

"Great then let's go," Alex said opening the door.

We followed him to the park and then to the area by my tree.

"I'll be up there," I said pointing to the tree.

"Okay I'll be here," Alex answered putting the soccer ball down. I nodded my head and went to where it was shady under the tree. I heard footsteps behind me and turned around at the tree.

It was Sebastian.

He stopped and looked away and went to the opposite side of the tree from where I was. I continued to sit in my spot and opened my book at my page and started to read.

After a while reading became difficult and I put the book down. When I did I put my hands down and touched something. I quickly moved it away and looked at what I may have touched only to see Sebastian. His hand was up too as he looked at me. I didn't realize how much he had moved from his original spot. He blushed a little and looked away.

I put my hand back and laid my head back on the tree and felt the breeze come through me. I smiled at my own comfort and forgot about the fact that Sebastian was right there.

I knew he wanted me to act like he wasn't there from his previous action so I did that thing.

Then out of nowhere Sebastian's hand fell on top of mine. I jolted from the sudden touch but he didn't move or look at me.

"We all know about what happened between you and Jake last night," he said with his voice deep and enchanting.

"Wha-what do you mean?" I asked nervously.

He looked t me then past me to Alex and got up pulling me with him. He pushed me to the back of the tree out of Alex's sight. He looked at me before leaning in.

"Maybe this will ring a bell."

Before I could react he closed the distance between us and kissed me. It wasn't like Jake's though. He was soft and only slipped his tongue in here and there letting me savor his taste.

When he finished he got up slowly to see my reaction.

I was blushing for sure but a part of me wanted him to continue. I ignored that thought and and pushed Sebastian out to the side. I started to head the other way until I heard a big smack and Sebastian falling to the ground.

The soccer ball had hit him and he laid there holding his nose grunting.

I just stood there even though I wanted to run to his side and help him.

"Dammit Alex! What the hell was that for?!" He yelled still holding his nose.

Then as if on cue I saw Alex in the corner of my eye as he picked up the ball.

"Sorry. I just saw something I didn't want to."

I jerked at what he said.

Did he really see us?

Sebastian laughed. "Jealous much? Too bad it'll never happen to you especially after she saw you be so violent."

He looked at me while saying that last part. I took a step back and Alex started looking at me too. His expression was full of fear and regret. I couldn't help but say something to get out of this box.

"It's not like that. I didn't say anything. I-" I stopped not sure what to say.

Before I could figure it out I just turned away and headed home.
