Chapter 7 - Chapter 6

The school day was long and boring as always. In science I was sitting in my seat in my notebook trying to to answer 3 simple questions.

Nothing came.

All I could think of was last night, why they were there, and if I would actually get the truth. What Jake said rang in my head playing very and over again.

"To tell you the truth, your mother invited us in to help you have a good time."

It gave me a headache.

"Samantha... Samantha!"

I looked up to see my teacher staring at me with her hateful eyes.

"Y-yes?" I asked noticing everyone's eyes were on me.

"I asked for the answer to question 3," she said in a disappointed voice.

"Oh, u-um..." I paused trying to remember the question.

What was it!?

"Well?"

"I don't know," I quietly said hanging my head down.

"That's a first Ms. Bright. I expected more."

She turned her head to another student and asked for the answer to number 3.

But my head didn't stop there. It kept going, remembering the past. It was hard to stop. My head pounded in pain from all the thinking but it wouldn't stop.

It just kept going.

The rest of the day was the same.

As I was walking home I stopped and looked to the path to my house. Quickly I turned to the right and ran.

It was the park.

My favorite place.

I climbed up the hill and to my tree. The one I stayed under to hide from my brother.

It's my tree.

Once there I stopped and caught my breath. I dropped my book bag off and sat under the shade of the tree. I closed my eyes and let the memories flush in. I didn't care. I was tired, exhausted from trying to resist them. I kept my eyes closed and accepted the sleep trickling in letting my dreams be memories.
