Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

I woke up to my alarm clock beeping.

Annoyed I turned it off and refused to get out of bed. I bearly got any sleep. But I had school and I couldn't stay home. Slowly I crawled out of bed and took a shower.

Every second my brain focused on what happened last night. And every time my heart raced. I couldn't take it. Besides, he was just kidding. But why did I want him?

I didn't understand. I didn't want to understand.

After I got everything ready I went downstairs. When I got there Christopher was there but, no one else. He looked up from a laptop and back at it and started typing.

"Morning," he said not looking up.

"You're up early," I responded with grabbing some orange juice from the fridge.

"I have to leave for work in a bit."

I looked at him. He works? I wonder where.

"Oh," I sighed. I finished the cup and put it in the sink. "I've got to go," I said grabbing my book bag and walking to the door. He didn't say anything else so I walked out the door without a second back look.

While walking to school my friend Drew joined up with me.

"Hey!" He yelled walking along with me. "What's with the face?"

I looked at him. He was the same as always. Brown hair, brown eyes, my height.

My ex.

"Oh, it's a long story that I don't know all of," I answered looking forward on the path ahead.

"Really?" Drew asked walking in front of me blocking the way. "Can you tell me what you do know?"

His eyes glittered with curiosity.

"No," I answered walking around him.

"Oh, c'mon!" He whined catching back up to me. "Why not?"

"Because I want the full story before I tell anyone, especially you," I answered stopping to look him in the eyes.

His face was a mix of shock and pain. Then it changed into a wide evil grin.

"You sure about that?"

He walked up centimeters away from me and looked straight in.

"Don't you remember our history? Who I am?"

I pushed him away and turned to the side folding my arms. "I do in fact. I also remember the fact that we broke up. So that makes you my ex. Nothing more, nothing less."

With that I continued walking.

"Whatever, you still love me," he said next to me.

I didn't respond. I honestly had no clue if I did. Besides, I promised my brother I would break up with him. There was no going back.

But he was consistent to get me back. But I wouldn't break.

I would never break.
