The bell rang. End of all classes.
'Finally! I am going home. I wonder what time Mom would be at home,' I thought.
I was walking in the hallway when my phone rang. It's Colton.
"Hi, Colti!" I answered with a smile.
"I'm doing great. How was the new school?" Colton replied.
"It's bigger than our school there. It seemed okay to me."
"Okay, only? I'm convincing my mom to transfer there because of you, sissy. I don't have friends here who accept me."
"Colti, it's time for you to tell your mom that you're gay. There is nothing to be ashamed of."
"BFF, I can't! She is going to kill me. Imagine an FBI profiler that has a gay son. Think of how embarrassing that is."
"Your mother is a profiler. She might even have guessed it already. Come on, Colti, so you can dress pretty."
"Arrgh.. I really wanted to wear a skirt, dress, crop tops. Rae, sissy, when can I possibly do that?"
"When you are out in the open. Hey, I have to go now. I need to catch the bus to go home. I will talk to you later, Colton."
I hung up the phone and just walked two steps towards the main entrance when I could smell that familiar scent. My eyes widened. I know who that is. Riverwoods!
I tried to walk fast to catch the bus and not be bothered by him. But he was faster, and now he stood in front of me, towering over me. He grinned and said, "Where are you going, new girl?"
"Get out of my way! I am going home. I need to catch the bus," I said, annoyed.
I tried to walk past him, but he kept blocking my way.
"What do you want, Riverwoods?" I yelled.
He grinned like a devil and said, "You!"
"What do you think of me? A toy?"
"My doll?"
"You are crazy! Get out of my way!"
But I suddenly saw the bus leaving. I wanted to catch it, but Riverwoods pulled my hand and said, "Looks like you are stuck with me, new girl."
"Let me go! I am going to book a taxi to go home. Now, I going to spend on something unnecessary because of you."
"What!? That's cheap! I have a better idea. Let me drop you home."
"So, how we are going to do that? By walking?"
"What do you think of me? I thought you knew me. New girl, I am not one of those cheap boys. Of course, I have my ride. Come with me. I will show you, my baby."
Riverwoods forcefully pulled my hand, and I didn't have a choice but to follow him to the parking lot. And when we arrived there, he let go of my hand and showed me his black Ferrari.
"New girl, this is my baby. Look at that! Isn't she hot?"
Riverwoods whistled and looked at me, grinning. But I looked at him sarcastically.
"What!? Don't you find my car beautiful? It's a Ferrari! Don't you know how much it cost?"
"And so?"
"My god, new girl! You don't know how to appreciate luxurious and beautiful things. But since you are mine from now on, I will make you love it."
"Yours? Who said I agreed to be yours?"
"Me! I don't need to take permission, new girl. This is how Brexon Clement Riverwoods work. Soon, no one would be bothering you once they find out that you are mine. Can't you see the benefits of being mine? You are protected, baby girl. No one can touch what Brexon's own."
"Stop that crap, Riverwoods! Let's go home!"
He watched me walk to the passenger's seat and sighed out of frustration.
"What are you doing on the back? Do I look like your driver, new girl?"
I rolled my eyes and said, "Where do you want me to sit?"
"Of course, my girl has to sit beside me. Where else?"
I felt hopeless talking to this conceited idiot, so I sighed and went inside the car when he opened the door for me.
"Now, new girl, where do you live?"
"After five blocks from here, you have to turn right. It's the apartment across from a bookstore."
"Gotcha, princess! But I remembered something. Who the hell is Colton? Why were you talking with him?"
"It's none of your business! I have friends, you know, unlike you."
"Haah! Friends? Which one? That ugly bitch at the cafeteria?"
"She is one, and her name is Christine, for your information."
"Still, she looked ugly. Now, who the hell is Colton?"
"Why do you need to know about him? Do you need to have the name list of the people I know?"
"Sure! That would be easy for me to know who they are and track them if I need to."
"Track them? What are they, criminals?"
Riverwoods laughed and said, "I can see that you have some sense of humor, too. I like that, so I won't get bored. But I still need the information of those people."
"Forget it! I am not going to tell you. They are part of my personal life, and it's private!"
"Oh, you have to, new girl. Don't make me search the entire New York to find Colton."
"Haha! Good ahead, and maybe you will find a thousand of them."
"You are really testing me, new girl! I like it and expect this boyfriend of yours to be possessive of you. And I will weed out all of the ones bothering you, starting from Colton."
"I am not your girlfriend, Riverwoods. And besides, you already have that blondie earlier. Why can't you just stick with her?"
"You mean, Kiara? Oh, she is nothing. She is just someone who loves to play and will be gone tomorrow."
"Keep playing with her. I think that best suits you."
"Don't get jealous, baby girl. She just wanted me to tutor her with science."
"Since when are you a tutor?"
"Since Kiara met me. Now, tell me, who is Colton?"
"What are you going to do? Beat him?"
"I could if I have to do. But I would start by scaring the shit out of him first."
"Why do you have to be such a bully? Hey, turn right now."
When we were finally outside the apartment. I directly opened the door, but he pulled my hand.
"No, thank you, new girl?"
"I missed the bus because of you. You don't deserve a thank you. You forced me to ride with you. Now, I need to go home and see if my mother is already inside. She told me that she would wait for me when the school bus stopped here. I don't want her to call the new school to ask where I am."
Riverwoods laughed and said, "What are you? Still in grade school?"
"Nope! I just have a sweet and loving mother."
He let go of me, grinning. And I heard him talk to my mind, "See you tomorrow, new girl! Dream of me tonight!"
