I watched as the two of them ran like headless chickens. They looked so funny. If I were not trying to impress Raegan, I would have made fun of them.
But I was happy, like a child given candy after knowing that Colton was not a rival. I realized that he might even help me get close to my girl. Thus, I needed to be nice to him despite the irritation I felt for him.
But what Raegan said caught my attention. She indeed knows what to say to make me stop and think if what I was doing was right. It was like a lightning bulb that made me realize that I might lose her if I continued being a bully.
Before, I believed that making people scared was the only way to get what I wanted. But today, it got me thinking of changing. Raegan might transfer to another school, and I don't want it to happen. However, I am not used to being nice. I don't have it in my blood.
"Where were you? I was waiting for you here so we could bully that blonde transferee," I complained when I saw Garret running towards me.
"Sorry, Mrs. Jones had to let me stay back. She did not want to send me for detention, but she scolded me with her monotone voice. I felt like I was having a nightmare listening to almost a robotic voice," Garret explained.
"Okay, I got it. I understand you now. Stop because I am about to imagine Mrs. Jones talking now, and it's so annoying."
We walked together towards the parking lot where my car was. Garret was used to me dropping him almost every time, not unless I was not around or if he was late.
When we entered the car, Garret suddenly asked, "That blonde guy you are referring to, was he the one with the new girl?"
"Yeah, his name was Colton. We can call him Coltie now. It suits him," I said, and I smirked, remembering how proud of a gay he was.
"What did he do to you that you got annoyed with him?"
"He was close to the new girl, Raegan. I don't like it. It's bugging my eyes when I see them."
"Why? Are you hitting with the new girl? What about Kiara?"
"Forget about Kiara. She knows that girls are like the season for me. It changes every time. I cannot stay with just one."
"Damn! I wished I could do that. It feels good to get laid."
"Man! You are missing the good part. It feels like heaven when you get laid."
"Stop making me envy you! Anyway, I still have Giana."
I laughed and teased, "So you only slept with Giana? That almost nerd girl."
"Hey, I also had Marie, Hannah, and Sylvia. But I know I could not compete with your numbers."
"Dude, it's not about being handsome. You have to develop that confidence and charisma so that no girl would resist you. Do I have to train for that? But it's no use teaching you. You stutter like hell in front of beautiful girls."
"I don't know, man. I don't know why I am like that. And I feel like there is no cure. I could only go for the easy ones, but they are not so bad, to be honest. Take, for example, Giana; she is fantastic. You will be surprised at how many positions she knows."
My eyes widened when I heard that, and I said, "Seriously, that nerd is horny?"
Garret grinned and nodded.
"No wonder she kept saying yes to you. I could not believe it. I thought that bitch was like a saint."
Garret laughed then asked, "Kidding aside, what's with the new girl? Why are you drawn to her? Kiara is prettier and with a nice body, but you are willing to dump her for that girl."
"What!? Are you blind? Raegan is definitely hot and prettier. She is even taller than Kiara. And you know what? She knows how to talk to me. I mean, dude, she is not scared."
Garret chuckled and said, "Well, from what I see, you got drawn into this chic. It doesn't seem to be for a fling that would last only a week. I think this would last longer. I wonder if there would be another new chic, would you still be drawn to her like how you are now?"
I could not answer for a minute, and then I said, "I think she would be my regular, but you know, if there is a chic that wants me, why should I let that opportunity pass?"
Garret laughed and clapped his hands. Then, we arrived at our favorite diner. It was quiet, with not many customers, good burgers, and many hot waitresses. We usually meet with friends from different schools and drink some beers. We are still underaged but we are tall and we could easily fool employees there with our fake IDs.
We were there for nearly an hour when I saw Raegan and Colton walking. Raegan was wearing a floral summer dress with her hair laid down. She was smiling as she walked side by side with that gay. She looked so fucking beautiful, but where are they going?
I rushed towards the door and left Kiara, who had just arrived when someone told her that I was at the diner. It got her by surprise, but she did not see Raegan and Colton.
I thought I had lost them when I stood outside, but I saw them when I turned my head a little to the right. They entered a small bookstore and were looking at all of the books.
Raegan's smile made my heart beat faster.
'Damn it! I really need to have this girl. How could I ask her for a date?'
Then, I realized she must be a book lover, so I needed to buy her many books.
'But what do girls like her read? It's probably romance. Girls are always crazy about romantic stories.'
"Later, baby! I will order the best-selling romance novel for you and have it delivered to your doorstep," I smirked and went back inside the diner.
