Chapter 6 - A Small Village

Taking his soiled clothes,

Hein walked to the pond nearby, while walking Hein noticed that the greenery had increased though being in darkness he could hear the sound of the gentle wind touching the leaves of the trees and making soft noises, not only the sound of trees but also of various animals he could hear with howls of wolves and the cries of the owl. The noticed that the nature was beautiful and and plump with plants and animals and the ecosystem was going well.

While he stood beside the a giant stone in front of the pond leaning downwards towards the water he saw that the stones had some markings which he couldn't understand, it was some kind of code, Hein assumed the code could have been used by the bandits he meet for secret communication. He leaned down removing his shirt and the coat off his upper body for washing, while washing he noticed that the nature had changed a little the winds blew cold and dry with the owl cries disappearing and a silence covering the area Hein knew something was a bit different and trouble could be at his doorstep.

Hein had cleaned his clothes till the time he quickly as fast as he can tried to move out of the place but suddenly while turning away from water something came rushing from the water and dark entity which Hein didn't got time to look at and he leaped away from the water the entity suddenly rushed inside water it was some kind of creature living their. The entity never attacked again and covering the area with silence again, Hein thought of not to engage with it as he was not looking for trouble Hein moved away from the place and started his walk towards the village.

While walking, Hein had many thoughts from which main thoughts were about the world and how creatures have evolved to survive and how their is danger in every stone we step on, with thinking this Hein continued to walk towards the village. After a few hours of walking he reached the village the place was a lot far as expected and it was quite late and the sounds of people had gone silent it was night and only a few people were seen on the entrance.

The village was quiet small, considering villages from his past life the village in this world were a bit different the village was about a few kilometres in length and width and had two blacksmith shops, a adventurer guild's small branch and a lane of vegetables and grocery shops with a few here and their handicrafts shops. The place also had had a travel stop on out side the village where many carts and land runner dragon carts were present for travel at a fee.

The place had a large tree on a square and farms on the outside. It had more precautionary measures to survive than a normal village with a defence as guild and weapon shops in hand.

Their were guards on the entrance with spear and light armour who asked travelers for their purpose of visit which looked more like a security in a large city.

Hein moved towards the guards in order to take entry concealing as much skin as possible covering his eyes up with a small space to see. The guard stood in front of Hein, the guard with not being alerted and more questioned he seemed friendly to other people it seemed nice to Hein.

The guard spoke politely-

" You look new, you don't look like of this region where are u from ? "

Hein was in a stage of thinking he thought that he couldn't use the ID here as the guard must have knew Lugh who got missing in eyes of the village.

Hein replied abruptly slowly fading his surname -

" I'm Lugh, Lugh Westerwiddow .... "

Hein couldn't use think of any other name in such a short while and gave the same name but with a weird surname.

He felt weird.

Continuing the talk the guard said calmly-

" Oh I have a friend of the same name, we have another Lugh who's my friend in this village, he's currently out on an mission. " gently laughing.

Hein felt sad for what had happened and decided not to tell about it with giving away a gentle smile to converse the talk.

The guard asked again-

" So what brings you hear to such a small village, not much of adventurers come here or are you a merchant ? "

Hein replied with a smile to convey tone and said-

" I from east and had mission to the west but in between I met some danger and my gear is now all washed out I came here to buy some to stuff before the mission."

The guard looked calm and said-

" Oh I see, are you all right now , you show your wounds to a local docter or a healer if you want, and by the the way could you possibly show me your ID card for signup there are really a lot of bandits now these days we have got orders to sign people up before they enter." calmly taking his hand forward for the ID card.

Hein knew this could be trouble as he had nothing of real as a ID of his own, he took the ID he found from his back while removing it fro his back he quietly used his raze to burn tear apart the some places of the ID card.

He showed the card to the guard, the guard took the card looking at his name and everything he asked-

" What happened to the card, your surname and address is torn apart "

Hein replied-

" While a fight a magic user blasted me, it mush have torn apart at that time."

While smiling the guard gave his card back and allowed him to go in.

Hein had entered the village, It was new start for him to gain reputation and experience to execute his plan.
