Two knights laying on ground with their heads missing and blood all over, Hein saw nothing but the terrifying and raged expression of his companions.
Knights gathering together forming a defensive position stood still getting ready to brace next attacks. Hein thought it was getting serious out here he has to do something thing with his arm regrown back,
sudden lightnings were spotted rushing towards on to the knight's shields. Knights quickly activated their ' Living Fortress ' skill.
The knights started getting stormed by negative bolts one after another. Surprisingly having no effect of such powerful bolts by activating 'Living Fortress' they were invincible for a short while and were thinking of a plan to tackle such a situation. After few minutes, the firing seemed to have stopped for a unknown reason taking the advantage the Arc mages behind the shields stepped forward firing intense explosive blasts from magic items as natural magic was stopped by the anti magic field. As Hein could see none could have escaped such annihilation as in the dark hallway there was smoke, ashes and magma flowing as the stones were melted and broken by the blasts.
At last, there was some light by the magma, as they could see there was no signs of life/undead form or any kind of dead remains of any creature was not visible, wondering Frome where the bolts got fired they assumed it must have been high level trap magic which sensed lifeform entering room and must have fired all the magic away.
Everyone was having a sense of relief and thought of communicating but the anti magic was still present, silencing there hand chated magic. The anti magic didn't work on magic items as magic item are science in there own way, storing magic using it with a pre programmed spell which makes them a excellent tool in combat against anti magic making it a anti-(anti magic) tool.
The explosions opened a path straight forward inwards the dungeon. Soon they were approached by a fountain inside the dungeon, it was flowing with ' Panacea Convocation' a higher level elixer, everyone assuming it to be trap moved forward into the dungeon in order to get out.
After few hours everyone was tired and seemed to approach nothing and moving in circles inside a large maze which demotivated everyone lessening their hope of getting out alive. Dalton the head of knights was in quit rage and was finding the end of it, he looke like he could kill the entire monster population of the world alone if he got a chance. Bursting in rage, Dalton want berserk destroying the walls and ceiling making them a way but not as they expected as the whole area was covere with elder skeletons with enchanted swords and axes.
Everyone formed a circle with the mages in center ready to kill whoever came in their way. Everybody was already tired and the skeletons were not seeming to stop coming.
The berserk Dalton had moved ahead into the crowd of skeletons leving everyone behind attracting much of skeletons towards him soon then the mages blasted towards Dalton with holy magic cleaning all skeletons apart, after taking care of the ones which were left everyone praised and thanked Dalton for his bravery giving him some mana potion to recover. It seemed that more skeletons were entering their path from behind, getting irritated by their number Hein straight blasted the ceiling with the fire ball spell he learnt blocked them and making the group of his companions moving forward. Soon Hein thought that they were in second floor and there could be endless number of floors and it would not finish until they all die considering hein moved ahead with the group not talking much after which they found a secret entrace apparently formed by the blasts and led straight downwards till eternity as it seemed.
The second they stepped near the broken walls over the boundary of the main path everyone felt sharp thirst and nauseous felling to fall down losing their consciousness but managed to stay calm and still.
An Arc mage was specialist in holy magic checked others and himself and found that everyone was inflicted by '" The Curse Of Abyss "'. Which made them feel nauseous, thirsty, weak and taking their human features as empathy and self consciousness with weakening their whole body system and sharing their health condition with the curse inflicter.
Hein wasn't inflicted with the curse as the condition for infliction was whoever human or humanoid who had entered the path or directly into the abyss must cursed as they do not involve in the dark world's affairs and rights to live underworld.
The curse basically didn't allow any human or humanoid to enter abyss and make them weak enough for allowing them to survive for not much longer.
Everyone knew leaving Hein that if they jump in they don't have much longer to live than a few weeks. Considering this everyone jumped right inside as they knew rather than dieing here could have chances to survive below for a few weeks reaching below by the help of wind magic by the item called ' The Great Fan Of Ornea '.
Reaching below everybody collided with a giant named Orcus who seemed to be the fifth guardian if the dungeon not having much intelligence but to introduce himself he continued with fight. He had a chain mace with poisoned spike on it which made difficult for others to reach attack him.
Orcus spinned creating motion which helped him throw his mace spikeball more further.
Orcus had wounded a lot of people as most of them were cursed. None in the room could now call themselves humans as they were now given the status of cursed being.
Orcus used his other hand throwing boulders from which some cane towards Hein. Hein felt a unique sense of deja vu as it had happened with him a little before as well.
With others taking advantage moving towards Orcus Hein purposely dodged most leaving one and got wounded to show that he is a normal adventurer. With which Hein stepped back not knowing fell into a pit, as a blast occurred above Orcus,
squashing Orcus and turning him into a puddle of blood and bones under the ceiling.
Smoke everywhere none could see none.
