The first thing thing Hena was told when she arrived at the engagement party was that Natalie – and his whole band, in fact – came but left after the engagement tonight. Well, that was fucking great.
Hena wanted her to rot in jealousy, seeing them together.
Well, she guessed she'd do that in their marriage.
"Even after what happened to us," Luka continued and held her hand. "I thought the two of us were close, but we weren't. I took the chance."
Hena was leaning herself towards him no matter how she denied it. She was attracted and yet feels safe of his presence. That reason alone is big enough for her to realize her good feelings towards him.
People had clapped their hands as they were finally engaged. They moved out towards the platform and walked towards the people congratulating them. Fake smiles, fake greetings, there were some people who were in favor of their engagement, but most of them were not.
"Thank you!"
