"Are you sure that you're going to cook, milady?" Claire asked Hena for the nth time ever since she had taken a step in the kitchen hall.
Preparing the ingredients, slicing garlic, onions and dicing potatoes and carrots, Hena paused and glanced at the palace maid.
"I have already told you, Claire, that I'm cooking my favorite dish."
"You can ask me or Mister Roy to cook it for you," she replied.
"But I want to cook it myself," she put the knife down and crossed her arms. "Am I really that of a bad cook that you're not entrusting me the kitchen anymore."
"No, it's not like that, milady," she leaned in closer and whispered. "It's just that if the powerful nobles hear you cooking human food for the prince, they might think of you as stupid."
"Stupid?"
"Yes," she nodded. "You do know that vampires don't really like to eat human food and they'll think you're being inconsiderate with your husband."
