Chapter 30 - A Villain’s Home

"No, there's no way he's actually managing to break through that ice. Right? I mean it's constructed from some of the strongest material at my disposal. Even him being able to crack it shouldn't be possible let alone break out of it. With the destructive capabilities of his magma which are quite minimal compared to my ice, this should not be possible. Further more, even if his ability is a direct counter to mine, the sheer power that mine holds compared to his isn't even comparable. The only question that's left now is how is this happening?" Jelal asked himself as he watched the black ice shatter into bits and pieces with Christopher escaping out of the prison without a single scratch on his body. It seemed as if he was constantly heating his body up with his flame and magma simoltaneously so that the ice would never actually harm him which inturn meant that he wouldn't suffer any damage.

"Hello Jelal," said Christopher with a smirk on his face as he looked Jelal in the eyes as he tried to place fear into him which worked to a certain extent but that was short lived as in that moment, something in Jelal's head activated which was the need to change back into his true state of mind. One which he would be able to outmaneuver any enemy in his path. It was the reason he was known throughout the world as the number 2 villain. It was the reason he was recognized to be near invincible.

"Total concentration: one with ice" said Jelal which caused quite a tremendous change as to how the battle was going, this was because before that moment, Jelal was rather playing on the defensive as he tried to contain Christopher in a small area but now he had enough, he was ready to go all out which wasn't necessarily a good thing for Christopher. In fact in just a mere 3 seconds he almost lost his life.

The events took place looked like something from a movie as if someone had not slowed down what happened, they would miss everything that took place.

Right after activating his total consentration, Jelal managed to cover the entire forest that the two were in with complete ice and snow. Seeing that Christopher was on edge as they were in Jelal's fighting ground which meant that Jelal had the advantage of being at his home. Next, Jelal merged with the ice under him as he body seemingly changed shape and the he became invisible to Christopher.

Seeing this, Christopher was even more worried as he began to panic and think of a way that he could possibly win the battle. However in that moment, he took a step forward which was the last thing that he should have done as Jelal changed the shape of the ice around Christopher so that it would be a diagonal and force him to slip and fall which was where the battle met its conclusion.

Before Christopher could even get back up, Jelal had a long ice blade pointed at Christopher's neck.

"You lost," said Jelal in a calm tone as if he hadn't even let out a single drop of sweat.

"Damn, even after all this I couldn't defeat you, how pathetic of me," said Christopher as he was disappointed in himself that he once agian failed to defeat Jelal which was rather surprising as he had ignored that he had just forced Jelal who was the number 2 villain, well at least before he had made an enemy of the villain's association go on the offensive just so that he could gain the advantage in battle to which Jelal simply laughed out loud as he couldn't believe the words that were coming out of Christopher's mouth.

"Look kid, there's no need to rush. I mean you're already progressing at an incredible rate. I mean if you trained any harder than you are now, I'm scared that I'll lose to you in just a couple months," said Jelal as he laughed some more.

"Wait are you being serious right now?!" Christopher asked as he wanted to know if it would actually be possible for him to match the strength of the number 2 villain in nothing more than a couple months to which Jelal was caught off guard as he had said it as a joke but Christopher's words made him think about it for a bit.

"Wait hold on," said Jelal as the more he thought about it, the more it became more of a possible idea that Christopher could catch up to him in a couple months which didn't make any sense. It shouldn't have made any sense at all.

Just a normal teenager should not have the sheer talent along with the power to surpass the number 2 villain in a couple months. Years upon years of hard work getting destroyed by some kid who got lucky and won the lottery for potential. That just should not have been possible which made Jelal give a face of disappointment in himself to which Christopher let out a grin.

"I'm assuming that it's a yes? I'll be able to catch up to you in a couple months right?" Christopher asked with a bright smile to which Jelal simply stayed quiet as he didn't even want to think about it. It makes him sick to see Christopher who was born into a privileged family and then turning away from hero society just to become a villain. He abandoned so much for such a stupid goal. He could have become a great hero on his own and then did whatever he had wanted. Christopher wasnt a true villain and would never be. He never had to struggle in life. He wasn't forced to accept a life of crime to survive.

"Hey Christopher, where do you think villains come from?" Jelal asked to which Christopher didn't know how to answer.

"Aren't there villains everywhere? I mean if they're just born evil they turn to villains? Isn't it as simple as that?" Christopher asked which made Jelal realize how little Christopher knew.

"No that's wrong. That's far from the truth. I'll take you to the place that villains are born,"
