"Well I guess this is the dungeon that Jelal kept saying would give me unlimited strength. I mean I guess there's nothing I should be worried about since I'll be able to leave this place whenever I want. The only other concern I had was the fact that I would need something to eat but Jelal already said that I I don't need to worry about that since the dungeon manages to use some sort of magic or ability to make it so that I don't need to either eat or drink. It's actually rather reassuring since I don't know how long I'll be staying here and I assume that after I clear a stage I'll be able to take a break for a bit inside the dungeon so that I could either take a short break or sleep. I'm set," said Christopher with a sigh of relief as he realized that there was nothing that he should have been worried about.
In that same second that Christopher finished his thought, as if on cue, the lights turned on in the dark room that Christopher was aimlessly waking in to which Christopher was rather caught of guard which did make sense so Christopher shut his eyes for a bit as they needed to readjust to the sudden change in lighting.
When Christopher opened his eyes once more, he looked around to see where he was to which he realized that he was in a large box like structure even though he had walked though a somewhat single gate that had nothing behind it but it somehow took Christopher to a whole other dimension.
The place that Christopher was in was a large football field sized box which was contracted from large stones which were at least 5 times the length and 3 times the height as well as 4 times the width of the average bricks used in construction. These stones where thick rough rocks that were stacked on top of each other to form the structure that Christopher was standing inside. It was covered in moss and spider webs as if was left untouched for years upon years.
After Christopher had a chance to look around the dungeon for a bit, a sudden voice interrupted him which had caught him off caught once again even though Jelal had told him to be ready for a voice to start speaking to him even though the body of the speaker was elsewhere.
"Okay Christopher just calm down, you came prepared for this. There's no reason for you to be scared," Christopher told himself as he continued to shiver in utter fear as he wasn't ready to take on the dungeon even though he had told Jelal over and over again that he was ready. This was because Christopher hadn't had his real fight where he didn't have Jelal by his side. In nearly any battle he was in, Christopher knew that Jelal would come to his rescue if anything had happened and would save the day however things were different this time, he couldn't rely on Jelal anymore. He was alone. Any mistake he made could be fatal.
"Welcome challenger. This is the dungeon of hell. Here you will battle against monster after monster over a multitude of terrains. The battles you will have will get harder as you progress through the stages. Once you defeat a monster, you will be allowed to make a choice of if you would like to leave the dungeon or stay in and battle your next opponent. You should know that once you leave this dungeon you will not be allowed back in so make that choice after thinking about it for quite a while. As for food and water, you will not need to worry about them because this dungeon will constantly replenish those aspects of your body so you will not need to worry about that. Your only concern while you're here should be how you'll defeat your opponents. How without further ado, say hello to your first opponent-" the voice said which was a rather joyful male voice that spoke in a fluid way until the very last second as he finished his sentence then cut himself off as if he had just made a realization which caused his voice and attitude to take a complete turn.
"Oh I see," said the voice in the most sinister tone imaginable. It was like a demon was breathing down Christopher's neck, ready to eat him all in one bite when given the opportunity. Hearing that sudden change in his tone caused Christopher to shiver even more than he was already.
"Uh? Is everything alright?" Christopher asked as he tried to get some reassurance that everything would be okay but the response he would receive was not the answer he was looking for.
"No, things aren't alright. You've caused me quite a lot of trouble. You see, this dungeon is made to give the people of the world a boost in power so that they could be as strong as the people at the top. Some way for the playing field to become a even. You see, you've trained far too much before you came here. Some who come here and leave don't even leave with the strength that you came in with. Imagine if I allows you to boost your strength here? Things would surely not be fair for the rest of the world. That's the reason that I can't let you leave this place, well at least I can't let you leave this place alive. It's quite the predicament you've place me in. I usually don't like to step in and meddle with the business of humans but you're a special case. It would be a complete disaster if I were to allow you to live. I have to apologize but you're going to have to be eliminated," said the voice to which Christopher's face was left completely pale as he didn't want to believe what he was hearing.
"Am I seriously going to die here without even getting started?"
