Over the next two months the two constantly trained day after day, we'll it was mostly Christopher who was doing the training while Jelal instructed him on what he should do and kept watch on him so that he couldn't slack off. At the end of the first month alone, Christopher was so powerful that he could have been a close match to Willam who was the number 3 hero. He had trained so much that even the higher echelon were starting to become comparable to him however the real change took place at the start of the second month.
"Hey Christopher, I know we've been doing a lot of exercises on you body but I think you're ready for the next stage of your training. You see this was just getting your body prepared to actually awaken. Let's say this is your base form and the one you'll get after the next stage in your training is much more powerful. At the rate you've progressed at, after your second stage in training, you'll become even more powerful than the number 1 villain. However I do have to warn you, there is a chance that you might die. In fact the likely hood that you'll die is 60%, it's not even equal for you to survive. You're at a disadvantage from the start which is why I warn you, please be careful when you start this stage of your training," said Jelal to which Christopher gave back a confused look as he wasn't sure what could be so dangerous that Christopher who was near the level of strength that Willam was should be afraid of. Nevertheless, Christopher listened to the words of his teacher as he believe that whatever Jelal said was true and he would in fact be correct in assuming that as the next month of Christopher's training would be utter hell.
"Hey Jelal, I'm still not sure what you mean. I mean I understand that I'll be training but how can I die from simple training? Wouldn't it just be the same thing that I'm doing now? Like running while having weights holding me back or something along those lines?" Christopher asked as he wondered what could possibly be so dangerous that he would have a 60% chance of dying from it.
"Well you see Christopher, once a person has gotten strong enough, it becomes extremely difficult for them to actually grow in power after that. No matter how much they train, the increase in their power is rather minuscule compared to the rate which they were increasing their power previously. As such, there is one final stop that everyone makes before accepting that they can't grow in power. That being a place called 'the dungeon of hell'," Jelal said which seemed to have peaked Christopher's interest as he wanted to learn even more about Jelal meant by the dungeon of hell.
"We'll just like the name suggests, it's a dungeon, mainly filled with monsters that try to kill you for every second that you're there. It starts with rather weaker monsters then progresses into the most evil and sinister creatures on the face of this planet. They will stop at nothing to destroy you which is why it's so terrifying. However you shouldn't worry too much as if you manage to defeat a monster or a monster group, you'll be able to pick if you would rather be allowed to exit with your life or if you would prefer to move to the next stage of the dungeon. I have to warn you though Christopher, once you've moved on to the next stage, you won't be allowed to leave it until you've managed to defeat the monster inside it which can possibly lead to your death. So once again, I warn you, try to be careful in the choices you make," said Jelal to which Christopher simply looked puzzled as he didn't understand why it was such a big deal as if the last monster was strong enough to be a great threat, Christopher could just go back inside at a later time to continue his journey after attaining his new found power as such, Christopher decided to ask that same question to Jelal as he wanted to know why he couldn't simply just do that and all his problems would just be solved.
"Wait Jelal, I still don't understand, can't I just leave after each stage then see how I am then go back to continue on to the next stage? I mean that's not that hard, right?" Christopher asked to which Jelal let out a sigh as he had realized that he had failed to mention that part of the dungeon.
"You see Christopher, power boosts like this don't come without a cost so there's a condition to going inside this dungeon, that being that once you exit the dungeon, you can no longer go back inside of it. That is the only condition which you must follow, other than that, as long as you go inside by yourself, you've managed to meet all the criteria and you can start progressing. Of course that means you're allowed to bring in as many weapons as you want and you can have use of your abilities as well. It rather a kind dungeon when you think about it. It doesn't have too many rules and offers you the opportunity to grow so much. However it still has the strong possibility to kill you," said Jelal to which Christopher had one last question.
"Wait Jelal, I'm still a bit confused, you said that the likely hood that I'll die is a 60% chance but shouldn't it be 50%? I mean it all depends if I make one of two choices, those being if I choose to continue through the dungeon or if I choose to leave the dungeon," said Christopher to which Jelal looked to be scared to even speak of where the last 10% came from.
"Wel you see Christopher, although generally, the way that the monsters increase in power over the stages is rather stable, there are some odd cases where they increase in power drastically…"
