Chapter 28 - More Anger

"Well you've already managed to surpass my expectations for you speed which means that's ere going to have to move on to the next type of training. I was thinking about improving your attacking since the best defence is offence. However now that I think about it, we can hold off on that for the time being. So instead how about we focus on increasing your stamina," said Jelal which surprised Christophers as it made no sense to focus on stamina instead of offensive capabilities. It just didn't make any sense so Christopher chose to question Jelal's decisions.

"I'm confused though. Why would you prefer that I train my stamina instead of my attack power? I mean doesn't it make more sense for me to increase my power output so that I could defend myself against opponents like Willam? I mean look at how helpful my speed has gotten? If I were to add attack onto that, I could be invincible," said Christopher as he wanted an explanation as to why Jelal didn't want him to continue with an offensive path.

"Well you see, the answer is quite simple. I want you to focus on you stamina for 2 reasons to be exact. One is that even if you are fast, I doubt you'll be able to maintain that speed for a long time. So it would be in your best interest to not only have that great speed but the capability to maintain that speed. Don't worry about your attacking power either. Everything will come in time. If we were to start you off with attacking capabilities, you would be a one shot monster. That would mean that you might be able to deal a devastating blow once but after that, you'll be done and won't be able to move. What's the point of such an attacker? That leaves you with so many issue like not being able to fight against strong enemies that come in groups. So it would be better for you to train your stamina so you can dish out multiple of these devastating attacks which I speak of. Secondly, your ability to use your ability mainly comes from your stamina. The more your have, the more you'll be able to produce, so tell me Christopher, would you rather be able to create a ball of magma or so much magma that you can surround the entire city with pure magma that'll melt anything in its path?" Jelal asked knowing the answer that Christopher would give.

"I would prefer to be able to cover an entire city with magma obviously," Christopher replied which brought a smile on Jelal's face.

"Well that's what I thought so let's too talking and get down to training you," said Jelal to which Christopher nodded but also asked a question.

"So how exactly are we going to train?" Christopher asked wondering how he would be able to focus on increasing his stamina to which Jelal gave a simple grin before planting his feet in the ground as if he was ready to run.

"Well Christopher, for this exercise, I'll need you to close your nose and keep up with me," said Jelal which made Christopher give back a rather confused face as he wasn't sure what Jelal meant but it was too late for him to ask questions as Jelal began to start running to which Christopher finally understood what was being asked of him and as such he closed his nose too and began to run as fast as he possibly could so that he could keep up with Jelal.

"How am I supposed to do this? I'm not even 10 seconds in and I want to puke. More over hes crazy fast. Even at my top speeds I can barely keep up with him. I guess this'll work towards my stamina and speed," Christopher thought to himself.

"Okay Christopher you're doing great, we just have to continue this for a couple more minutes and you'll be able to take a break!" Jelal yelled out as he tried to encourage Christopher. However hearing those words make Christopher sick to his stomach.

"Did he just say minutes? I feel like my body will collapse in just a couple seconds. And he even expects me to hold in my breath?! Wait, what if I slowly breathe out so that he won't hear me? I mean it could work. There's no way that anyone's hearing or senses are good enough to know that someone is breathing. I mean that's insane," Christopher said to himself as he tried to calmly breathe out.

The second that Christopher allowing a single breath to to come out, Jelal turned around sharply to glare are his student like an eagle.

"Damn it! How is he able to sense something so small?! I can't even catch a break and I already know that he's going to add a couple minutes to the amount of time that I have to run while my nose is closed. I seriously hate this training," Christopher thought to himself.

"Did I just hear you breathe?!" Jelal said as if he was irritated.

"Look it's fine if you're tired. Just tell me next time instead of forcing yourself to breathe in desperation. How about we take a break for a bit?" Jelal asked to which Christopher's face lit up in joy.

"Really?!" Christopher asked as it was the best thing to happen to him. That was the last thing he expected to come out of Jelal's mouth and rightfully so.

"No." Jelal replied.

"Keep running for now. I'll tell you when you can take a break. This is your punishment for disobeying me," Jelal replied with a lazy tone while continuing to run. Hearing this filled Christopher with anger and as such, he closed his nose to put all his concentration on running.

"I promise I'll kill you," said Christopher as his eyes lit up in rage and ran so fast that he almost out sped Jelal by total accident.

"Now die you monster! I've been wanting to do this for so long!" Christopher yelled out.
