Chapter 22 - Son

"What do you mean you know? You could not have possibly known that my plan was to train you just so you could turn you into a new number 1 villain. That's preposterous, specially knowing how little you truly know about the mechanics of the world of villains," Jelal stated which made sense as Christopher did in fact have very little knowledge on how villain society worked and how they interacted with others. So Jelal's assuming that Christopher was lying did in fact make sense as he couldn't have gotten that knowledge from anyone.

"Well I guess it would make sense for you to doubt me however I have an actual reason for why I knew about it. It's not actually that complicated when you think about it. What other reason would you have to take in the child of the number 2 hero in the world. I'm quite literally the second largest liability you could face only second to the child of the number one hero. So it would only make sense that you would take me in under the condition that I was such an asset to you that it outweighed the liabilities. Even if I would do that and knowing how skillful you are at thinking things through, you probably thought that too. Furthermore, my points are solidified by the fact that you had tried to kill me in the beginning and even after finding out my identity, you still didn't want me. However half way through, it was like your whole attitude had made a complete change. You seemed to enjoy my presence and started taking care of me and also started putting me through harsh training sessions. I mean it was so harsh that at the end of it, I had the strength to kill two gangs all by myself," said Christopher as he began to explain as to how he had reached his conclusion.

"Even now, although I don't understand what you did, by the way you're speaking about it, I think you sacrificed a lot for me. No one would do that out of the kindness of their heart. There's nothing that one lives more than themselves. No matter how much they try to lie about it and act self righteous, in the end, all will accept it. A human is greedy for money, fame as well as power. But more than that, they're even more greedy for their own lives. In their subconscious thoughts, they value their life more than anything else," said Christopher which was surprising to say the least because he was more of a laid back person that didn't take things too seriously but in that moment, Christopher sounded like a real scholar which he knew.

"To be perfectly honest with you Jelal, I'm happy that you were training me to be the number 1 villain. It doesn't seem to be that bad of a fate. In my head, I had thought that you were training me to be a tool for you. A killing machine which would do anything at the snap of your finger. That's why I'm so glad to find out that it's mutually beneficial for the both of us. It's actually a bit funny to me because the person I wish to take down is the number 1 hero and becoming the number 1 villain and taking him down would be the best thing possible. It would show him that he had created his own demise. It was all his fault," said Christopher while trying to keep his anger inside as he was still upset about his mother getting killed by Crimson.

"Really? I guess I don't have to worry about you leaving and going back to your father. Speaking about him, does he know that you've left and decided to seek power through becoming a villain. Actually never mind that, even if he was insane he wouldn't have let you do that. So what's your plan now?" Jelal asked as he had just realised that if Christopher's father ever saw the two of them together, he would assume that Jelal had kidnapped his son which would not have been good. Just like he had done to Crimson, Jelal was capable of attacking a couple times then running away before getting hit himself; however , that was against a version of the number 2 hero that was not angered. When someone is filled with anger, they get a substantial power boost and that was something that Jelal didn't want to see. Specially if it was on the number 2 hero as it was going to most likely end up in Jelal being placed inside bad position. Even death was something that could have happened. Even so, Jelal was not ready to give Christopher up. He would do anything in his power to ensure that he could stay and become the number one villain.

The two of them were speaking inside a dark room inside a small house which Jelal had gone to after escaping from the city where the villain association was after him. Although he had avoided them, there was still someone else that was still after him.

"Wait do you hear that? Someone is coming," said Christopher as he realised that Jelal's eyes were already focused. Not only could he hear the person or thing that was coming but he could also feel it. Unlike Christopher, Jelal knew who was coming.

"It's him. I guess I had less time than I thought before he would find me. I better get ready," said Jelal as he stood up from the ground as he was sitting on the ground while speaking to Christopher.

"Hey Christopher, things might get a little ugly so you might want to start running as far away as possible," Jelal said with a smile but Christopher instantly knew that he wasn't joking. Things were in fact going to get really messy which was why Jelal had given the warning and Christopher left from the back door and began to run outside in the woods of the forest that the house was in.

"Where is my son?!"
