Chapter 41 - The Magic of High School

Aika pulled a hand down her face slowly in frustration after once again throwing Iskandar out of her lab. The unofficial leader of the the Four Bro-hiems of the Apocalypse had come to her to have bombs fashioned out of Ophis clones, because it wasn't bad enough that her husband had made bombs literally capable of cracking the world open like a molten egg, now they wanted bombs capable of turning worlds into silt fine particles floating through the expanse of space.

Not that Bro-skandar or any of his contemporaries - Napoleon Bro-naparte, Bro-dred Pendragon, and Bro-ncis Drake - would ever use anything like that as completely annihilating your enemies meant there was no one left to fight in glorious combat.

Honestly, how did Dio manage to find such people to be his Rooks and Knights? Did he put out another Craig's-list add to the Throne of Heroes? Interdimensional Devilgod looking bros who are all about conquest and explosions for Peerage?

And how exactly do his Knights count as Bros? Giving your homie bro-jobs is supposed to be gay, but apparently now bros can make babies with their bros. What ever happened to the times when a guy would kill his best friend for not saying 'no homo' after a ten hour session of anal sex? Did they pass her by as the decades came and went up in the Fifth Heaven?

Aika decided right then and there that she needed a vacation. A chance to get away from Heaven and reconnect with her roots.

Turning to her assistant, Rin, Aika shouted, "I'm stepping out. I'll be back in a couple of decades, maybe a handful."

With the time dilation, one week on earth was twenty years in the Fifth Heaven, a place where every day ridiculous magic was being researched and tested and taught, and Aika had become the top authority in every field of magic without considering Dio because of the full body magic crest he tattooed onto her.

The mystical ink he created using clones of himself acted as hyper-efficient synapses storing all the knowledge of magic he had accumulated via his connection to Hermaeus Mora and the Akashic nature of his cannibalism abilities.

Even with over a hundred years of tutoring, Rin had only scratched the surface of that knowledge, and with her current skills she would be the greatest magus to ever come from her world entirely even without her power as a reincarnated Devilgoddess.

With a little flex of her vast power, Aika teleported herself across dimensional lines and appeared in Kuoh, her hometown. Despite being gone for over a century, nothing had changed here. Of course only five weeks had passed, but for Aika it was a literal lifetime, and she could now understand why Illyasviel and Yasaka had chosen to raise their daughters up on the Sixth Heaven.

Pushing open the door to her parents home, she was greeted with the sight of her mother and father beginning another normal day with breakfast.

"Good morning, sugarplum." her father greeted, completely unaware that he hadn't seen her in five weeks and to the changes in her appearance.

Despite still looking like a teenager, Aika had filled out to a very womanly physique after five children. Five children and a dozen grandchildren, even three great grandchildren. The dissonance of being not only far older, but also a far more experienced parent than her parents left a sour taste in her mouth.

It had long past the time where she could ease them into knowledge of the supernatural. When she was young, she chose to leave them mundane because of her pregnancy, thinking it would simply be too shocking an announcement for them. Now though, she could see how silly she had been.

"How is school going?" Her mother asked as she set out another plate for her.

"I don't go to school anymore." Aika sighed, "I am the second most powerful being in the universe with literally infinite power and wealth at my fingertips."

"Top ten in the test scores! Wonderful!" Her mother squealed in glee at whatever the mental manipulating spell put in her head to cover up any and all trace of the supernatural.

That same spell adjusted the minds of anyone they came in contact with, creating the illusion of them raising a daughter they can be proud of. It had seemed like such a simple thing at the time, but now there existed the gaping chasm of time and experience between them. Aika was no longer the girl they knew, and they were a pair of near strangers to her.

But did things have to stay this way?

Getting up from the table without touching the offered breakfast, Aika went to her room and pulled out a school uniform. A few magical adjustments later and the woman stood before her bathroom mirror looking like just another heavenly stacked Kuoh Academy school girl. So long as one ignored the tattoos and jewelry that radiated infinite might.

Aika had become quite fond of precious metals and gems alchemically made from clones of Ophis, the former Infinite Dragon God. Something about wearing the previous number 2 bitch felt right.

"Time to figure out the magic of High School." Aika laughed as she turned away.
