"Boss!" Iskandar shouted as he came into my throne room, "I've got three words for you that you are going to love! Vampire. Civil. War."
I looked up from Gabriel's face as she continued to fellate me and locked eyes with my right hand man, "You have my interest, now get my attention."
"The Tepes Faction of Vampires has the Holy Grail." Iskandar laughed.
"Then it is a Grail War." I smiled, "I always win those."
"Can't let someone else get a W in secret." Iskandar nodded.
"They won't get my strap behind my back." I announced, "I'm the reigning, defending, undisputed Grail War champ. Gather our forces. We ride to Romania, and to Ruin, and to the Red Dawn!"
Iskandar met another version of me on deck atop one of our carrier type space crafts, the mile long cruiser carried ten thousand jet bikes on top of its own battery of cannons, turrets, and warheads. The vessel took off from the multilevel docking building and tore open a golden rimmed portal over Romania.
As I looked down at the forests and cities of the eastern European country I could feel the faith of the Orthodox Christian population and I was fucking psyched for some Vampire slaying. The Dead Apostles and True Ancestors have some freaky powers going on especially at the higher end of the pecking order and we are charging right into the heart of their territory.
It will be fucking glorious.
My Seraphim and I launched off the Cruiser on our golden jetbikes like a swarm of ten thousand bees flying free of the hive and I led the charge right to the Tepes Castle. Our opening salvo tore free from our wings like flaming fists of justice and… totally obliterated the castle.
It was then that I realized that we are not assaulting a True Ancestor fortress… just some DxD vampires.
"Haha!" Iskandar shouted as he stood in the stirrups of his jetbike and thrust his lance in the air triumphantly, "Take that you shitty vampires. That was just our Level 1 ordinance. Just sit tight and we will show you level 2!"
It would appear that I need to make Level 0 otherwise the battles for this world will be very disappointing.
"Iskandar!" I shouted, "How many Vampires did they have at this castle?"
"One hundred!" the giant red head yelled.
Fuck me. Waste my time some more, bro.
Our forces landed and secured the smoking ruins that were once the Tepes Castle and started excavation into the underground fortifications. The first sublevel of the keep was completely fucked, but we encountered survivors on the second level. There we encountered Vampires who claimed to be invincible due to the use of the Holy Grail to remove their weaknesses.
My Seraph promptly proved that not having any glaring weaknesses doesn't matter when confronted by raw power applied through capable and skillful violence. The shouts of "Eat Bolter, SCUM!" filled my heart with satisfaction as the vampires met their messy end to high caliber explosive rounds and power axes and spears.
All was well with the world.
Some dragon/giant half breed mongrel tried to prevent us from advancing to the next level, but Iskandar and Mordred made short work of him.
"Make sure you take samples for cloning." I told them as they cleaved its head from its body, yet somehow it did not die.
"Retreat, Grendel." Ordered some punk with blond and black slicked back hair, "Return to the Grail and gain another body.
"You don't get to decide if he gets away, fool." Mordred laughed, "Only we do."
She swung her sword at the man who dodged and blasted her with a gout of flame.
"You doubt me, Crom Cruach, strongest of the Evil Dragons, stronger that the Heavenly Dragons!" the freshly introduced lizard shouted while putting out some serious heat.
Guy wasn't kidding, those flames were more powerful than anything Ddraig or Albion had ever put out in the combat tower.
A massive cannon shot compliments of Napoleon finished off the body of Grendel and I caught the beast's soul. With a flick of my wrist the guy was turned into a fresh sacred gear in the form of a black flanged great mace.
I charged through the flames and struck the strongest evil dragon with a casual attack, sending him flying into the stonewall and shaking the underground fortress. A quick use of reinforcement magic prevented the structure's collapse.
"I like this mace." I grinned, "Got a very Dark Lord end boss vibe to it."
BALANCE BREAKER
A suit of fully articulated black plate armor covered my form with an black scaled cloak and a metal spade crest on my helmet. I strode over to Crom Cruach and put a foot on his back.
"Damn you!" he shouted as I slammed the mace into his head, shattering it like an overripe melon.
"Get samples from him too." I said as I turned his soul into a tower shield and doubled up my black dragon balance breakers into a terrifying evil dragon knight of doom.
Walking into the next level I saw the shot callers of the Tepes Faction performing a sacred gear extraction ritual on a young girl.
"Worthless lizard couldn't even buy us ten minutes!" shouted one of them whom I promptly shattered into a meaty paste.
I took my time breaking them one by one until I finally smashed the sniveling leader of the group and watched as my prize materialized from the lifeless body of the girl. With a grin I took up my new cup and summoned up some wine from the Gate of Babylon, a bottle from the cellar of the ancient Mesopotamian gods.
"Ahhh..." I sighed in pleasure, "Good cup."
I tossed it over my shoulder to Mordred who had just caught up after finishing off the slaughter up stairs.
Handing her the wine she poured a drink then wished, "Make me the King of Camelot."
"This one doesn't work like that." I chuckled.
"You sure. I feel extra kingly." Mordred grinned and tossed the cup and wine to Iskandar.
"That would be the cup removing any natural weaknesses and bestowing true immortality on you." I explained.
"Neat." the knight smiled wider.
"It is a damn fine cup." Iskandar laughed and tossed everything to Napoleon.
"I'll make sure it gets to Drake and makes the rounds up on the Fifth Heaven." the greatest French emperor stated.
"Good. Have the men spread out and finish the job on these vampires." I commanded, "I don't see any reason to keep them around."
"Right away, boss." Mordred nodded and started shouting commands at the angels.
"Should we not restore this girl to life?" Iskandar asked while looking at the dead dhampir, "Undue this betrayal?"
I looked at the dead girl and pressed my lips together while moving my mouth side to side. I materialized a coin and gave it a toss. Heads.
