They walked for hours in the forest, until they came across a large property. The house was a mansion and the garden had perfectly maintained bushed and flower beds. "So you're rich?" FunPup asked a little impressed.
"Oh, this is not my property, that belongs to our born immortal" Shade laughed in amusement, "he owns this and he doesn't exactly share his wealth".
"So does he allow all of you to live her" FunPup asked a bit confused of how this nest works.
"Yes, he prefers to keep us all close, he once said that if he lives in the same building of his nest he would know who is trustworthy and who's not" Shade nodded as if he agreed with the idea.
"Born immortal, what's that?" FunPup asked and Shade gave an expression that told her that this was ment to be commen knowledge.
"He is the pure blood vampire by birth, the most powerful one of us all and he owns everything here" Shade explained, looking as if he admired him. "When you meet him, show the best of respect" Shade turned to her and ordered, "just do as I do".
"Alright, can I get these stains out?" FunPup asked squishing the water out of her fur.
"Yes this way" Shade then led her to the far right of the house, they walked to a chamber and on they way she saw at least 20 vampires.
Shade opened a large and dark oak, wooden door and a perfect living apartment sat infront of her. "You did well with it" FunPup nodded her head impressed.
"Like it?" Shade smiled, "here" he threw a bottle of shampoo that showed a very powerful stain remover.
"Thanks" FunPup went to the bathroom and ran the shower. It took a good three hours of scrubbing and boiling water to get her fur shiny and stain free. She saw a shelf full of soft towels and took one, she then grabbed the hair dryer and realised how much fur she had sheded.
FunPup finished drying her fur, cleaned up her mess and walked to the main part of the apartment and Shade was nowhere to be seen. "Shade!" FunPup called out and had no response. She looked around the apartment but nothing, she then went out. As she walked past vampires they hushed their conversations and stared at her, she felt uncomfortable by their cold gazes and silent threats. FunPup found a large hall of the house, uncountable amount of vampires were sitting and relaxing. They had shanpain glasses filled with blood and some humans and elfs chained to a wall, she saw a few vampires go over to them to feed.
FunPup made her way down and saw that only she was a furry mix and the rest are elfs, mostly, and human mixes. A pure blooded vampire looks nothing nothing like a human or elf or furry. They are more like a anthropomorphic bat with long and sharp thangs. They have their wings connected to their arms and no tail, their faces are a mix of a human and a bat. "Who are you? you don't have our sent" an elf called out to her, he had a grin but his eyes told her that he will kill her if he has to, "you're pretty".
"Thanks, I'm FunPup" FunPup twitched her tail and took a step back.
"Right so what are you doing here, from your sent you are a rogue" he walked up to her and held her tight.
"Get of me!" FunPup slashed at him and hissed, "I didn't say you could touch me!" FunPup realised that everyone was staring now.
"Sorry did I mess up your fur" he made a funny voice and laughed. FunPup just hissed softly and walked back, the elfs nose had a deep slash and dehydrated blood oozed out. "So what are you doing here little rogue?" he advanced his stance and other vampires preper themselves for a fight.
"I was brought here by Shade" FunPup decleared, hoping that it would help them calm down a bit.
"Oh that FunPup, yes" everyone relaxed and some went into groups to continue conversations. "So Shade, he actually made a second vampire furry" he nodded his head with a smile, "but something is a little of about your thangs" he frowned.
"What? my thangs are fine" FunPup felt afended about that statement.
"Calm down, I didn't mean anything about that just that they seem a little small" he went to lean in but FunPup grabbed hold of his arm.
"I said don't touch me" FunPup warned she then let go of him, "my thangs are probably like that because I'm a half vampire".
"Oh, so I take it your parents tried to take this gift away from you" he smiled at her and she felt uncomfortable, "do you want me to make you hole again?".
FunPup felt her heart skip a beat and her ears drop. "No I'm good" she grind and laughed awkwardly.
"Really?" he asked in a high pitched voice, "you don't want to be more powerful? more then what you already are?" he seem to not be able to wrap I around is head.
"Look I have Shades blood and I don't need some random elf to add to this" FunPup crossed her arms.
"Right I get it, you don't want to mix your blood to much" he had a look that tells her that he understands.
"FunPup!" Shades deep voice called out to her and the elf stood aside.
"Shade" the elf greeted nodding his head up.
"Clif" Shade greeted but nodded his head down, "I'll take care of her, you can leave be now" Shade then gestured for her to follow. Once they were in his apartment Shade spoke, "Clif of all vampires" he took a deep breath, "I hope you didn't say anyone stupid".
"Who is he?" FunPup asked, she saw how the other vampires look interested that she argued back to him.
"He is our immortal borns right hand, anyone who gets on his wrong side ends up dead moments later" Shade explained.
"Oh so what's your position here?" FunPup asked, feeling curious.
"Well... let's just say I'm a fighter, someone who is the muscle of the nest" Shade bit his lip and FunPup could tell that he is hiding something.
"So the police? soldier?" FunPup wanted to confirm.
"Yeah something like that, I do pull a bit of popularity by being the first furry vampire" Shade leaned on the wall.
"So what one am I?" FunPup asked, "5th? 10th?".
"Second" Shade nodded slightly, "furrys are not seen as the best vampire type so they barely let me live when they found me".
"Why didn't they kill you?" FunPup asked.
"Because I was born a vampire" Shade sighed, "my father is one of our immortal borns best friends and my mother died giving birth to me" he sighed and he looked distressed.
"Then my father died fighting the other nest who lives near by" Shade bared his teeth, "you're the only kin I have left after my uncle got captured".
"Oh I didn't need that much information, you know where this uncle is?" FunPup asked half thinking that she could help.
"In the property up north from here, you can't miss it" Shade then gave her a serious expression, "you are not going after him".
"Why?" FunPup asked now just wandering his need for kin.
"You don't have the strong position or information that they need, they'll kill you" Shade then held her in close.
"Please no I'm not a hugger" FunPup tugged and he let go.
"Really, from what I've seen with you love cuddles" Shade joked letting her go.
"Before you yell at me, I've arranged a meeting with our immortal born" Shade opened the door, "he is interested in what you're like".
"Great, I guess this is the day I die" FunPup said sycasticly. They walked to the farthest room in the hole house, Shade nocked and a cracky voice called out for them to enter. "So FunPup, you're the half vampire Clif told me about" his voice sounded strained and painful.
"Yes" FunPup nodded and she kept her distance.
"Shade, you asked for a meeting to get her to join us?" he asked but had a calm tone from his painful voice.
"Yes sir" Shade bowed the way a soldier does when he sees his king, "she has promise in my opinion" he lowered his head showing respect.
"I can see it" he nodded, "yes it's in your eyes, you can join my nest but the offer will only be open to you for a year, I know it is a delicate choice to make for a rogue".
"Thank you" FunPup nodded her head down, she can only guess that it ment that she knows her place.
"Good you know manners" he laughed, "if only more new ones were like you". "Ok you can leave now, Shade you can take the south patrols for the week" he ordered and Shade nodded his head down and left with her.
"Good you impressed him" Shade smiled, "let's get you back" Shade offered.
"Yes, I bet Willow is worried about me" FunPup grind softly as she thought about the soft and fluffy cub.
