Chapter 26 - Everlasting pain

Inshal was laying down on the cold concrete floor, a horrible ach went through her hole body and she wanted to snuggle up into a soft blanket. "Is she even awake yet?" a strange cold and bland voice asked from her right side.

"Yes" Inshal opened her eyes but felt as if she couldn't move, "who are you?".

"Oh... Quilabe you are?" he sounded shocked.

"Inshal" she tried to move but a shock of pain went from the tip of her finger down her arm and through her hole body.

"They used that horrible spell didn't they?" Quilabe asked, he sounded as if he tried to make himself sound energetic but he sounded exhausted.

"What spell?" Inshal asked, "they shot me with an arrow".

"A spell that affects demons and angels, I don't know what it does to you but not good form the looks of it" Quilabe explained, "the only sin that demons truly are ageist".

"I didn't know a demon could loose sanity or will" Inshal sniffled, "owe" she cried in pain as any movement hurts.

"So how did you like being Marlos queen?" he asked trying to lean back.

"Well I've only been queen for about a week, my fist 'night' with him is just to pay of a debt and that was the only time with him... but I did enjoy myself" Inshal sighed. 'Wow that sounds sad, for a relationship' she thought to herself.

"Hm... well you are our queen, what do you say?" Quilabe asked trying to lift her up. Inshal tried but she just fell right on back on her stomach, "you ok?".

"No" Inshal wrapped her tail around her, "where are we?".

"Elf lab" he explained blandly, "so we're dead".

"Well that's fun" Inshal focused energy into her halo, she could sense that these demons were scared and low spirited and she wanted to help.

"What are yo-" Quilabe started but stopped, "what is this?" he sounded more energetic and alive when he said it.

"I have the angel power to calm anything, it works on Marlo" Inshal explained.

"Marlo!?" Quilabe had a more loud voice like all the other demons she met, "you're that powerful?".

"Yes, how are the rest of you doing?" Inshal asked and she heard multiple, hopful demons voices all back with positive responses. "Good" Inshal then tried to use that power on herself, it helped a little with the pain but the only noticeably difference is that she had a clearer mind.

After a while Xzaviar was brought into the room, he has large and deep cold sores allover his stomach. "If you don't spill anything out next time, it's gonna be worse then that" a female elfs voice threatened but it still sounded like Inshals mother. "Oh you're awake" she walked over to her, "it's her turn!" she called and soldiers unlocked her chains and tried to stand her up. Inshal cried out when she stood up and she fell back down. "Hm, that is supposed to be worn of by now, maby it's different for a hybrid".

"I advise that you shut this little operation down before-" the captain but in.

"Before some stronger demon comes and brakes you out, yeah yeah I know" she shrugged her of.

"No" Inshal spoke and that caught the captains attention, "you don't know who I am don't you?" Inshal asked, 'I'm just gonna rist but I need her to be intimidated'.

"I'm the 9th angel in the second council in the hevens, you are not just messing with the demons anymore" Inshal smiled as the couler drained from her face.

"No" she nervously laughed, "why would they take a hybrid in?".

"You can ask Newlaw when he gets here" Inshal said, "I know that they will not be happy to find that one of their own is currently chaind and has a spell that the demons find disturbing".

"So what are even doing here?" she asked finding a conference, "why would they council be roaming around with demons?".

"The demons have good information about the war" Inshal explained, she is lying but only half lying, "we need to know what the war is actually about to decide which side we are on".

"So you're just gonna spill out that your not with the demons and betraying them just fore information?" she asked with a tone, "so you found that information?".

"No but you ruined it already" Inshal explained the lie further, "the angels are on their way as we speak, do you want to mess with the hevens?".

"So you want me to let you go? give you back?" she had worry in her voice and she could hear the hisses of the demons but Xzaviar stayed quite. 'F-ck! he saw Strongmind, I just admitted any dormant thoughts!' she quietly panicked in her head.

"Yes, I'm sure that I'll be able to convince them that you can be forgiven" Inshal tried to nod but a sharp pain stabbed her skull, "after all I'm still part demon, things like this can be forgotten for me".

"So you are willing to let us rot!? not to mention betray Marlo in such a way!" Quilabe hissed and he tried to slam himself into her, clearly wanting her to suffer.

"I don't even know you" Inshal rolled her eyes but a feeling of guilt washed over her, she needs a plan. "Besides I got some information I need" she continued.

"The egg" Xzaviar finally spoke, he had a voice that told anyone that he has been stabbed in the back. Xzaviars voice shattered Inshals heart, she grown to like him as a friend, a drinking buddy. Inshal realised very quickly that she is betraying him, Marlo and Clorsh, even Darkin is with her. "Marlo told you everything and why we are on Earth, now you're going to go to the hevens and tell every angel what is going on" Xzaviar huffed. "You have no idea what you're doing Inshal" he turned to her and he had a look of hatred and she couldn't stand it, "it could lead to Marlos downfall and the end of the Dohan kingdom".

"So what, I am kin to the second council" Inshal forced her voice to be cold but she was surprised it worked. She felt like crying she couldn't handle it anymore, she wanted to curle up in the soft and comforting colds. "Get her to a healer!" Alava called out and she was picked up gently and moved from one side of a humongous building to the other. She was brought to a hospital like room and doctors put pads connected to wires allover her body and when they flicked a switch the pain vanished and she felt instant relief. "Once you're feeling better you can leave" Alava said and left, Inshal spent less then an hour there.

Inshal got up and walked out, guilt flooded her hole body. She couldn't stand it so she dashed up to the sky and went south, towards the demon camp. She flew as fast as she could, she went even faster then she thought she could. She saw the amber and nacked trees of the forest zoom by and the grey clouds just above her head threatened rain. She saw the camp shot its way into her view and she dived down to the ground to flap her wings to make sure she doesn't shatter her hole body. "Inshal!" Darkin felt as if he teleported to a hug with her.

"Dad not now, we need to move now!" she yelled out to get as much attention as possible, "Xzaviar and multiple Dohan demons are imprisoned by the elfs!" she informed, "where's Marlo!?".

"In the underworld!" Zeven laughed and he sounded pleased, "oh he thought that you ran of to see who is your kin is" he couldn't stop laughing. "But captured bu elfs, and here everyone thought all those missing soldiers just missed their kin" he laughed uncontroably.

"Well I need someone to bring him back now!" Inshal snarled, it was loud, threatening and shocked every demon there. "We have a situation that could ruin us! they know about the egg!" she informed and that sent everyone into a panic.

"Inshal, I can take lead on things here but you have to get Marlo" Darkin suggested, "Clorsh can take you".

"Yes" Inshal nodded, "Clorsh!" she called out to the panicking crowd.

"Yes Isnhal" Clorsh had a look of calm but her voice showed the worry in her.

"We're getting Marlo" Inshal then followed Clorsh further south and it got colder as they flew.
