Chapter 24 - The fire burns out

It has been a few days since her little drunken rant at the human war camp. Inshal could never have dreemed that she would be the one to get a general and a soldier killed with one dare. Xzaviar never let her go because of it, he thinks that it makes her more of a demon then before but Inshal knows that she has tempered with the war that Drin is watching over ever other second. Inshal knows that she will never hear the end of it from the second council. 'Wait were is Strongmind? he is supposed to get a report from me at some point' Inshal thought. "Come on Inshal you haven't had a drink, why so miserable?" Marlo asked, they were sitting in the bar as Marlo wanted a drink on his day of.

"Just bored" Inshal stretched, "I haven't done anything interesting in a while".

"If you want we can go back to our tent" Marlo grind and held her waist.

"No not in the mood" Inshal rested her chin on the bar.

"Oh that bord" Marlo let go of her waist and rubbed her back.

"Yep" Inshal sat up, "I'm going for a flight, still need my exercise".

"See soon then" Marlo went back to his drink. Inshal flew to the forest, she flew up the sky and she caught a sent that sent relief through her. Strongminds sent was in the forest, she flew down and followed it on the ground.

After a short while of searching she she found another sent... Xzaviar right on top of Strongminds. 'Oh no... no no no no no, this is bad this is really bad' Inshal began to panic, if Strongmind gets caught she could be revealed as a spy. They would both be dead after that. Inshal has 3 options, 1: she could fly away now and get help, risking Strongmind being torchered to confessing. 2: she could free Strongmind and flee with him but reveling that she is a spy. 3: join in with Xzaviar and help him escape while keeping her real self hidden. Inshal thought for a few seconds then chose option 3, it was the best way in her opinion. She followed it, keeping low. It didn't take long to be on a tree looking down at Xzaviar cornering Strongmind.

The little angel shivering as a cloud, while a large demon towers over him with a grin. Inshal waited, her plan is to wait until Strongmind bolts then pounce on him to show her 'side' to Xzaviar. "So what is a little angel like you doing around here?" Xzaviar paced around him like a vulture, "from your sent you are apart of the second council but witch one?".

"Go on, kidnap me! I won't brake" Strongmind challenged but he was still shivering like a chihuahua.

"Oh I don't want to kidnap you, Marlo doesn't need any more spy's or information" Xzaviar chuckled a little. Panic stabbed Inshal once again, 'do they know?! why keep me so close?' she thought and asked herself over and over.

"So what do you want from me?" Strongmind sounded more panicked now.

"We can have a little fun" Xzaviar grind and grabbed hold of Strongmind, "you're prettier then I thought you would be".

"No" Strongmind squeaked, clearly terrified now more then ever.

"Why not?" Xzaviar asked wrapping his legs around the fluffy cloud, "Darkin did and now we have Inshal".

"I can't exactly get pregnant" Strongmind snapped, "besides I know that it is forbidden for demons to sleep with an angel as it's forbidden in the hevens". Inshal knows this, like every demon and angel but why Darkin wasn't executed? no-body knows.

"It's ok if we don't get caught" Xzaviar smiled wider.

Inshal leand on the branch to see how Strongmind was doing but she leand too far and the brach snapped. Inshal fell tumbling down the hill and crashed into Xzaviar, freeing Strongmind who dashed up to the sky. "What!? Inshal?" a fury turned to shock as he said those two words.

"Xzaviar" Inshal got up and greeted, "what were you doing?" she pinned her ears back.

"Look we both know that we can let this slide, nothing happened and you are the result of this crime" Xzaviar persuaded and Inshal knows that he is right.

"I'll let it go but why would you have any interest in him, after all you seem to be the type of demon who dislikes angels with every fiber of his being" Inshal didn't let her gard down but still agreed with him.

"This never happened" Xzaviar said in a sturn voice, "can we agree?".

"Fine, but I will get my answer one day" Inshal warned and they both headed back to camp. 'I will come back tonight, hopefully he'll be here' Inshal hoped. They walked in silence for a very long while, it was starting to kill Inshals sanity. "Do you know what we actually won from the humans? I can't seem to find anything from them" Inshal asked changing the vibe.

"I was more drunk then you, so no clue" Xzaviar sighed, "ask Clorsh if she knows, if not then we probably left it there".

"Right..." Inshal bit her lip not knowing what to do or say at this point.

"You've been fidgety the hole way, what's on your mind?" Xzaviar said after a long pause.

"Nothing" Inshal almost mumbled.

"No there is something" Xzaviar sighed his tail, "I can see it in your eyes".

"How did you manage to get spy's in the hevens?" Inshal asked, she wanted to pull it of as if confused on how an angel would work for a demon.

"Simple, blackmail and threats" Xzaviar sighed almost sounding in relief.

"How to blackmail an angel I wonder" Inshal joked but she sounded confused instead.

"Not all angels are as pure as snow, some have secrets that they prefer hidden" Xzaviar explained, "the most common ones are a mistress or they sined once and they feel the guilt eat them alive".

Inshal heard something shoot, it sounded as if it was an arrow. Seconds later and it hit her shoulder, a burning and unbearable pain splashed over her hole body at an instants. She screamed from the top of her lungs, she saw birds startle from it, "Inshal!" Xzaviars tone was from pure horror and panic. Elfs in light armour jumped infront of them, half holding bows and the other fall holding swords. "Demons!" they cried and Inshal feel to the ground crying as the pain got worse when she tried to move. Chains were wrapped around her and she saw Xzaviar trying to chase them of with just his firsts, he faild and chains soon engulfed his to. Inshal felt as if passing out with the pain but only tears ran down her cheeks and the suffering it caused went to her head. They were thrown into a truck, the back looking as if it was made just to hold dangerous and wild creatures. Inshal could only scream and cry as they dragged her, they put a muzzle on her snout and her jaw was forced shut.

The muzzle only caused more pain and she felt like dying at this point but the elfs drove east, away from the camp she was staying at. Inshal couldn't see Xzaviars body, not through the tears and her now blurry vision but chains cut into him and Inshal smelled the blood that came from his new wounds. Inshal soon past out and would wake up from a bump only to faint again with the pain. A stabbe and a jolt of electrisity woke Inshal up properly, the unbearable pain was stronger now then before and Inshal tried to scream but couldn't with the muzzle. More tears flooded down her cheeks and the elfs mocked her. Inshal wanted to slash she wanted to tear her teeth into them bit couldn't, even if she wasn't chaind and muzzled.

"Captin! where should we take them?" a soldier called out and Inshal felt the worse migraine form and she gritted her teeth.

"I can promise you my King will be looking for us and your species will not exist any longer!" Xzaviar threatened with a snarle but they only electrocuted him with a long sharp stick with a butten on the end.

"Take them to the lab, under highest security!" a female elfs voice answered her soldiers question and Inshal felt calmer to it. She felt some of the pain relief of her and her halo glowed as that captain sounded just like her mother. Inshal smiled, half dead at this point and she colapst. "No Inshal! get up!" Newlaws voice rang in her head, "you can't die now! I won't allow it! GET UP!" his voice called out to her but she couldn't.

Inshal layed on the ground, the world faded around her and she couldn't see a thing. The pain was gone but the chains still had a tight grip on her, the muzzle bit in her and Inshal let one last tear out. Everything went dark and she couldn't feel a thing.
