When I was much younger, I never believed in the Little mermaid. She had a daughter for a man who she sacrificed legs for, and I always thought...what if those legs expired one day and she had to leave? Between having to leave and being left behind, what was worse? Which would hurt more?
I didn't think at that point, I would find myself in this situation. A man who was a wolf, and an alpha who had left his mate at the altar and is cursed to bring love to the heart of a person...I hadn't believed I would be the one he will come for, and the person who would be able to make him leave. I didn't think I would want to be selfish, either.
I was here, sitting on his lap, my fingers trailing his cheeks as he kissed me.
