I sat close to his bed, my palm covering my face. The continuous beeping of the machine filled my ears, and I ffeellike I could have a new trauma just by hearing it for much longer.
Kyran needed to wake up in the next thirteen hours, or they'll move him to the ICU. I won't be able to see him, or even visit him.
I sighed just thinking about it. It didn't make sense that a powerful Alpha werewolf like Kyran was lying on the bed, so close to lifelessness after that one bullet.
Or was there something that I hadn't caught on to?
I stood, giving his pale hands a small squeeze, before letting myself out of his ward. I met a doctor immediately I stepped out and I stoped him.
"Doctor, the patient here..."
"Yes, the surgery was successful. We are waiting for him to wake up."
I nodded. "I know, but...I thought the bullet only hit his arm, and not any vital organs, right? So why is he still down?"
