Evening, Training hall,
The upgraded training hall was massive, it area had increased to 9000 square meters, and a lot of new stuff had appeared inside, including, but not limited to,
-Training dummies that could move, attack, and defend,
-Moving targets of different shapes and sizes,
-An obstacle course filled with rope swings, jumps, and swinging logs,
-A rest area,
-Two enclosed baths,
-Two stone buildings placed opposite each other with quite some things on the side.
Overall, it had improved, by a lot at that.
Verum was currently in the arena, trying to come up with even more ways to utilize his magic, he had noticed that once he managed to successfully do something that can be classified as a spell, it was much easier, and quicker to do it again, an example of this was the giant wind blade he had used against the Alpha wolf.
His current conjecture was that it was regarded as a kind of 'skill' by the system, which, while it did not show on the skill screen, it still could be used as one, which is why he was here now, to make more of these quickly usable skills, as well as some more powerful ones as trump cards to help in moments of need, or to just intimidate.
Right now, he was focusing on fire based, because that was the element he was most proficient with, not to mention that it was quite a powerful one as well.
For the past half hour, he had been trying to condense a rapidly spinning cone, but so far he did not have much success in doing so, in fact, he could barely manage to hold it for more than three to five seconds at a time!
Of course, there were various faults in the cones he could condense, so he was trying to correct them. Too large a size caused him to lose control of it, making the flames flare and whip around the surroundings. Too small, and it was not good enough for an attack. Too slow, and the penetrating power had a drastic drop. Too fast... he could not even get it to the speed he wanted right now, so there was nothing about to fast to be worried about.
After spending two whole hours just to keep it condensed as well as spinning at a speed that could at least be considered as some what fast, he then tried to increase the speed, in which, he actually had much more success in, it was quite a surprise for him, but maybe it could be contributed to his sharp control over mana.
Soon enough, he reached the top speed at which he could still manage to hold the shape together, so he dissipated the flame, then summoned another on top of his palm, but this time, instead of spinning it into a cone shape, he started to stretch it, a slowly a small ring of fire was formed, floating above his palm, and that put a smile on his face.
He then started to make it bigger, and it grew to the size of a basketball hoop, he put more mana into it, and it grew even more, more mana, more growth, he kept adding mana to the flaming ring till it's diameter reached an entire meter in length before stopping.
He then took a break from the tiring spell creation process, and went to observe how Jason was training the new troops.
It was not that much different then how he had trained them, beat them up while forcing them to learn and adapt to his movements and technique, simple, efficient, and this method also gave them combat experience as well as a cherry on top.
He stopped by for some time, then walked away to get some water, afterwards, he went back to his training, skill development.
After taking a deep breath, Verum prepared for the hardest part, using and connecting the two together. He thought that it should at least take five to six hours for him to complete this move, and then with a sigh, he began his torturous session of explosions, flames, and burns.

Unknown place,
A door opened, and a naga walked through it. He then bowed to the dark part of the room, before starting to speak.
"My liege, there has been a disturbance, your rank has dropped to second place!" He said quietly, keeping his head lowered.
"I actually lost my first place? Who took it?" A voice resounded from the darkness, it was quite deep, it could be assumed that the speaker was a male by the voice. Instead of replying to the question asked of him, the naga instead asked a question in return.
"There's no outsider here, why are you being like this?" He asked, and a tone of exasperation could be heard in his words.
"Answer my question." The voice commanded, and the naga, after shaking his head, replied. "It was taken by someone called 'Verum Apeiros Voidborn', and by the looks of it, you already know at least something about him, do you not?" The naga was peering into the darkness, trying to get a response from the one sitting in the darkness.
"Indeed... From all I've heard, he is quite a formidable foe, after all he managed to kill so many people in the introductory free for all match held in the lobby, I even heard that he defeated the person whose level is the highest! I believe his name was 'Hiko Yatra' or something lik-" "Hino Yama" "Yeah, yeah 'Hino Yama', Anyway, I would like to fight with this person, after all, I need to confirm his ability to make me second, but I don't think he's that good anyway."
A sigh sounded, "Anything else?" The voice enquired, "There is an elk herd passing by, just a few kilometers away." "Elks, huh? Alright, Take someone and go secure the food supplies, but make sure to watch out for traps."
"Yes, my liege." The naga replied, then turned around and promptly left the dark room, closing the door behind him.
