Chapter 25 - Lobby

"Indeed sir."

"How far?"

"Only about 1400 meters to the southeast, sir."

"Which fruit?"

"We do not know sir, they seemed to be green in color, we went closer to determine their size, but they were guarded by monkeys, a huge group of them, so we thought it best to report before taking action."

"Good, you did right, I don't think we can take on a big group of monkeys, they are smarter than other creatures, you know. They can use tools as well as the surroundings to their advantage. Go do whatever, we will get those fruits later."

He sent them away, and went back to his training.

After giving them the basics of what he wanted them to do, Verum went on with his own training all the way till night, in this duration, he trained his INT, WIS, AGI, STR, and even managed to get DEF up a point, after that, he trained his Battle Aura, trying to utilize it more effectively, as well as efficiently.

That however, did not give much result. Afterwards, he made his men learn the abilities he got from both 'Trickster', and 'Supporter' to increase their combat power. However, they could not learn all of them, so he settled for a few.

The next morning, Day 6, he experimented with Crafter to find it's limits. He discovered the maximum limit was four cubic meters of material. Another thing he discovered, was that he could compress the materials, upto ten times more dense than normal, and this made him make an entire watch tower out of compressed wood.

He succeeded, albeit it took a while, but to him, it was worth it.

[Sturdy Watchtower Blueprint]

[Durability: 20000]

[Cost: 500 wood]

[Due to the some strange methods, this tower is over 5 times more sturdy than others]

'Can I sell this blueprint?' He wondered, and after looking through the trading platforms, the answer he came to, was yes. He made another tower, then set the blueprints up for sale, with each blueprint's selling price at one silver coin. It took some time for it to get noticed, but it got popular pretty quickly. The people on the platform tried to negotiate with him, some even outright cursed him, but it did not matter. He was already making a profit.

[Blueprint sold! +1 Silver coin]

[Blueprint sold! +1 Silver coin]

[Blueprint sold! +1 Silver coin]

He looked at the profits, then closed the system, and resumed his training. The rest of day six passed by just like that, with him leveling up twice in the process.

On the morning of Day seven, he had just finished his morning exercises, when a world announcement rang out.

[The first week has ended! Transporting all players to the 'Lobby'!]

He disappeared from his spot, and reappeared in a white space. with some panels that looked like they were recording his status, and another with some options on them.

[Welcome, Castle Lord Verum Apeiros Voidborn!]

[Please select what you would like to be used when, you are inside the 'Lobby'!]

[Hide name: Y/N]

[Hide level: Y/N]

[Hide other players: Detail]

[Hide from other players: Detail]

He pondered for a moment, "Don't hide my name or level. Don't hide from other players. Only show the players who are noticing me."

[Choice confirmed, Can be changed later on]

[Please choose your appearance]

There were only a few of them in front, so he picked to activate nothing, and instead chose his default look.

He then watched in silence as a few different buildings appeared around him in the four directions. An arena, no, wait, two arena's, a big gateway, and a very, very, big, empty, board.

[To all players, Welcome to the Lobby!]

[The building to your left is the 'Arena'!. Over there you can contest with each other to see how your personal, as well as your troop's strength, fares against other's! There is a ranking system, and along with events, there will be a reward once a month to the players holding high ranks!]

[The building to your front, is called the 'Simulator'! Just like it's name, it can be used to simulate different things, like how your castle will fare in the event of an invasion, however, keep in mind that other players can see your simulations, so be careful!]

[The doorway to your front takes you to two places, the market, and the game world! In the market, you can trade with other players, it is like the Trading platform, but here you can bargain. The game world, is a place filled with games that are here only to relieve your boredom, it has been observed that this gives your kind a higher satisfaction rate]

[And lastly, the huge board behind you, is the leaderboard! On it, you can access any type of player ranking, from stat, to power, to games! Keep in mind that there are two types of ranking, Statistical, and System Observation. In Statistical, the ranks are made from the stats only, and in System Observation, it is determined by what the system judges by it's observation, and comes to the conclusion, in short, who the system feels has potential to hold that rank]

[That is all, I give you all leave to do as you please, do remember that you cannot harm others inside the lobby, unless you are inside the arena]

After hearing this stream of information, Verum digested it for a moment, then started walking towards the arena.

"Let's see, how will my abilities match up against other players? Will I lose? Or will I win?" A small smile spread across his face, and he disappeared after entering the door to the arena.

However, he failed to notice that someone had been looking at him with some interest visible on his face. The man looked to be about the same age as him, he was wearing a black sleeveless shirt and jeans with brown hair and green eyes. "I wonder if he can withstand 'Steel fists'."

The test above his head read as [Hino Yama, level 34]
