"Oh! Achievements can be completed here as well? That is useful." He thought aloud, as he looked at the various panels around him displaying his output, regen, average, etc. "Okay so that's done, now how do I get out of here?"

[Leave?]

[Y/N]

"Yes."

Verum was now in an actual arena, with people swarming all around him, going in every direction, phasing through each other. Quite a few people noticed him, and tried to get him give some tips, but he just ignored them and kept walking the exit. Until, he saw a nametag that made him stop.

"So you finally noticed me huh?" Said the person

"Hino Yama, may I ask why you are looking for me?"

"I want to see how powerful you are, do you accept my challenge?"

"I'm sure you can see my level, why not duel someone closer to yours?"

"Don't worry about levels, they have a bunch of custom settings for fights, there's no problem if it's just level difference."

"Huu, Fine, but what's in it for me?"

"A businessman I see." Said Hino Yama, with a pondering look on his face.

"I doubt that I have anything of much interest for you. How about this, if you win, I will let you choose any one thing, from my entire castle, be it from my inventory, my warehouse, or heck, even, my kitchen! Deal?"

Verum thought about it for a bit before agreeing.

"Sweet! So then, shall we?" Yama said, sending a duel challenge to Verum. Which Verum accepted, and abruptly disappeared into thin air, then reappeared inside an empty blue space, with Yama ten meters in front of him.

"You decide most the rules, just to keep it fair."

'Is he looking down on me? No, that does not seem to be the case, but then why? Is he dumb? Or just that confident? I need to be wary, he gives off a dangerous feeling.' After his little internal monologue, he looked at the screens floating at the side.

After a little tweaking to the rules, Verum hit confirm, and waited for the match to start. His choices, however, had Yama a bit confused.

"Really? I know that you are powerful, but still, isn't it a bit much to take away all your assigned stats? While letting me keep mine till level ten? I don't want to look down on you, but I feel like it will be too tough for you." He then looked at Verum standing opposite him, then grinned.

"But just because of that, I won't be going easy on you, I respect you, so I will be fighting with full force, don't blame me if anything goes wrong, alright?"

They were now in a sandy arena that looked like the Colosseum, repaired, with a Sixty-second timer counting down in the air.

Verum was holding a Tachi, while Yama was wearing a pair of gauntlets.

"Swordsman? Not good, need to keep a watch on that blade, it looks dangerous." Yama murmured, looking at the tip of the blade that looked like it could pierce a hippo. While on the other hand, Verum was also trying to ascertain Yama's fighting style, and coming up with counter-strategies.

'Close-combat, impact and shock based attacks, don't know proficiency with leg use in combat, seems to have some sort of training in hand-to-hand based on posture. Stay out of striking distance, move quick, use feints and distractions, prolonged fight is bad, need to look for decisive opportunity to strike and eliminate in one fell swoop.'

"He should also have some magic, wonder if he will surprise me with it."

'Mana present, affinities unknown. Spells unknown, Mana capacity unknown, Wisdom stat unknown, need to be careful, may possess close-range magic.'

'Expressions suggest not much fighting experience, but likes a challenge, right-handed, first attack will probably be a right-straight, dodge by ducking will result in a left leg kick, rolling will take care of that, then after that, either a left punch, or a right backhand.'

There was only thirty seconds left on the clock right now, and somehow, people started appearing on the seats of the arena, and not few in number either, hundreds were pouring in every second after the first few appeared.

The sudden appearances distracted the two fighters for a bit, but they quickly focused after giving it a mere thought.

'Wonder how these people got here. Heh, I'll find out soon enough.' Verum thought and looked at the timer, which now only had thirteen seconds left.

OH MY GAWD!

The legendary Voidborn, and the Powerful Hino Yama! The are going to fight!

When I heard their words, I quickly started running to the arena's fighting room screen, it shows all the fights that are going on at the time, and man, there were a lot of them, me and many other filtered through them until we found the room we were looking for, and then shouted to gather attention to their room, before quickly entering it, after all, who would want to miss a fight between two legends?

The timer hit zero, and both of them ran towards each other.
