Chapter 20 - Chapter 19

Wafi.

Baker mentally faces palmed. "This is my cousin, James. James, this is my friend Wafi." He gestures between the two, Wafi loosening his grip enough for Baker to slide back. James looked at him, sternly. "Friend?" He asks, his eyes going to Baker. He nods slowly. Wafi holds his hand out. "Nice to meet you." He says with a polite smile. When did Wafi learn how to be polite? James looked at his hand for a moment, before crossing his arms. Wafi lets his hand go to his side.

"Our teacher made both of us go together so that one of us can't run off," Baker explained hastily, James eyes directed towards Wafi. His phone buzzed, Wafi grabbing his phone. He looked back up at James. "It was nice to meet you." He says with a smile, turning to Baker. What the hell is happening? "Come on. Hisoki would like us back before school is over." He says seriously. Hisoki? Who the hell was- oh, Hisoki. "Ok, perfect. Do you have all of the stuff we-" He nods. He glanced at his phone. It wasn't on Hisoki's contact, instead, it was on Yoshi's. He smiles towards James.

"Sorry, we have to leave in such a rush. I hope I can see you later." He says before stepping away from his cousin. He grabbed Wafi's hand, pulling him towards the checkout line. He stepped up to the line, Wafi placing the blue basket filled with white and black party supplies on the counter. "Here you go," Baker said with a smile. The cash register, who looked American nodded, starting to scan the different items. "Perfect, man. Let me tell you, I have never seen such pretty places in any other place than Japan. It's amazing." He said, his voice deep and casual. He used the informal talk with him, but Baker didn't mind it.

"Japan is very beautiful. I'm happy you are enjoying it. Are you studying here?" Baker asks with a smile, Wafi standing behind him. He pulls out his card, his eyes focusing on the name. It wasn't Japanese, Baker recognized it as English. He needed Hisoki here to help. J-o-h-n-n-y. Baker stood there for a moment, before hearing Wafi's voice in his ear. "*Johnny.* His name is *Johnny*."He says, Baker, nodded his head. James nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm studying at The University of Tokyo. I'm from America." He says, nodding his head. He looked up to Baker. "¥32. 16. Card?" He asks, Baker raised his hand, showing Johnny the Centurion Card. "Card." He says simply.

The cashier looks at the card with widened eyes. "Woah, that's so cool man. You must be famous here." Baker looked at him confused. "Famous?" He asked awkwardly. Wafi facepalmed, holding Baker by the waist and lifting him, setting him to the side, the other student stepping up. "Sorry about my boyfriend, he doesn't know what the word famous means," Wafi explained coolly, taking his card and sliding it through the machine. Baker glared at him, crossing his arms. "I'm not your boyfriend." He muttered, huffing. Wafi hummed, shrugging his shoulders. " Could be though." He says, handing Baker back the card. Baker didn't say anything else, walking to the bagged items and grabbing some.

Johnny laughed quietly, tapping a few buttons on his screen, before looking back at Wafi. "Good to go. Thanks for shopping at Party Block." He says, Wafi nodding before grabbing the last bags and walking out of the store, following Baker. He laughed quietly, placing the bags in the back seats, as Baker got into the passenger seat, already having placed his bags. "You are infuriating." He muttered as Wafi got into his seat. Baker shut his door, pulling his seatbelt over his body. "No, I'm just a flirt."

Baker stayed quiet for a moment, looking towards the sky. "What did Yoshi text you about?" Wafi seemed to not expect the question, turning to look at Baker. Baker, however, didn't look back. "Nothing. Just texting me a list of supplies. I made sure to check if I got everything." Wafi explained, the car starting a slow hum. Baker nodded. "By the way, we won't work out," Baker said as Wafi backed out of the car parking lot. "Yes, we would. You're a sub, I'm a dom. Perfect."

Baker closed his eyes, sucking in a breath. He pinched his nose. Baker sighed, looking back at the window. "I'm not a sub. More of a switch." He sighed calmly. He could see Wafi nod his head. He tapped on the steering wheel. "So, question. Just, curious. What exactly happened with that guy?" Wafi asked, not turning to Baker, but the question directed to him. He sighed, shrugging. "It's my cousin, you don't know him." He muttered, analyzing all of the different shaped clouds in the sky. He wondered if cloud shapes were as unique as snowflakes were.

"So if he's your cousin, why did you look like that. You seemed like you didn't want to be there." "Cause I didn't."

Wafi took in a short breath, nodding again. "Ok, so you didn't want to be there, but why? Did I do something wrong?" That made Baker turn to him, a happy look on his face. He liked the fact that Wafi was worried, but didn't like that he blamed himself. "No, it's not you. James, he is just... no one in my family…. Likes-"

"Homophobic?"

Baker sadly nodded. Wafi hummed, hastily speeding off and towards the school. "How bad is it?" He asked. Wafi skillfully turned left, the car smoothly slowing down to compensate for the harsh turn. "Well, I don't see them too much. My mother does though. If they see any two doing something affectionate, they tend to be….. Disrespectful towards them." Wafi didn't say anything, but Baker noticed his hand grip tightened on the gear stick. "I heard from Yoshi that you wanted to come out, do you think that's a good-"

Baker laughed. He wasn't mad that Yoshi told him, he thought it was foolish to think such a thing. However, Baker smiled at Wafi's sudden hesitancy. "It's fine. I want to tell my parents, they will be fine. But I just gotta make sure they don't tell their friends." He says, nudging Wafi's shoulder, but the driver didn't smile. He had a grim look on his face, guilt etched in like a drawing. "I'm sorry about holding you like that, I shouldn't have done that without your permission. Plus I probably made him mad at"

Baker dramatically yawned, stretching in his seat. Wafi went silent. "It's cool. Promise. I know you just do things like that, which is embarrassing, but still." Wafi smiled, taking his hands off the steering wheel for a moment to clap his hands, before going back to driving. He nudged Baker's shoulder.

"So, about you not being a sub,"
