Chapter 26 - Chapter 25

It was about 10 minutes into their 'party' when Mago came back from the store. Baker slid an empty cheap beer bottle to the other side of the room. It was his first time drinking anything alcoholic, and it was disgusting. Wafi clapped his hands, proud. Everyone has decided to go to Baker's house, since his parents won't be here until morning, and Mago had roommates. They had somehow made a circle, talking about school and drinking leftover beers from the fridge while Mago actually got something good.

As Mago waltzed into the cozy living room, dancing and holding two packs of brightly colored boxes. One had American colors; red white and blue. And the other was purely white. Mago walked over to the circle, setting down the two cardboard boxes, scooting in to sit next to Baker and Kai. "You know, I don't think I have ever seen this much alcohol in my life." Wafi shrugged, leaning back on his hands. The sun barely lit the curtains, the sunset fading into darkness.

"Yoshi, get me a knife." Mago ordered, placing his legs in a V shape and sliding a box over to him. Baker read over his shoulder. Yoshi nodded, standing up and walking to the kitchen. The scratch on his cheek had faded, now healing exponentially. Yoshi came back after a minute, carrying a small box cutter. Mago reached up, grabbing the knife by the handle when Yoshi extended his arm. "So, Baker. I heard that you haven't had alcohol before, right?" Mago asked, professionally cutting through the box. He slowly pulled out cans of red, white, and blue themed cans. They seemed like the size of an energy drink, if not a little bigger. "Yeah, it is." Baker said calmly, shrugging. Now was the time to act cool.

Mago hummed, handing a can to him. It was red, the design of melted candy dripping from a metal lid. Baker grabbed the can, opening it without hesitation. Mago hummed. "You can go first." Mago said calmly. Baker didn't hesitate, a sizzle coming from the lid. He placed it in his mouth, tipping the cold can back. It tasted shockingly good, almost like Cherry Jolly Rancher. A slight sour flavor at the end, not enough to make anyone gag. He took a couple of gulps, before setting the can back upright on the wooden floor. Baker hummed towards them. "Good?" Yoshi asked curiously, reaching over to grab a blue can, which Baker assumed was blue raspberry.

Baker nodded, licking his cherry lips. He didn't expect alcohol to taste so good. Maybe that's why kids enjoyed it. Mago took the white can, coconut flavor, and opened it. Baker watched them for a moment, leaning on one arm and taking a sip of his cherry cocktail. It was almost addicting, the fruity taste mixed with the sour one creating an intriguing blend.

A soft knock came from the door, everyone freezing. "Whose that?" Mago looked towards Baker, who shrugged. Had they invited someone? Yoshi stood up, rolling his eyes. "It's Harley. Remember how I invited him?" Yoshi asked, walking to the door. Oh, yeah, Baker must have forgotten. "Jeez, how drunk are you?" Yoshi jokes, opening the door. Harley was on the other side, texting someone on his phone. He was about to walk in, but Yoshi placed a hand to his chest, stopping him. "Nope, oh no you don't. First, promise me you're going to be nice? Mago was nice enough to buy this for us-"

"It was mostly for myself!" Mago interrupts, before going back to his drink. Harley sighs, raising his hands in defeat. "Fine, tonight I'll actually be decently nice to you guys." He muttered. Yoshi stared at him for a second, hesitant. "Ugh, just let him in already. He's probably had just as hard of a day as the rest of us!" Wafi yells, Yoshi sighing and stepping aside, letting Harley walk inside. Yoshi shuts the door and locks it, following behind him. Harley sat down in between Wafi and Yoshi, grabbing a blue can.

Wafi leans on his shoulder happily. "Hi, baby! You look amazing!" He smiled. Harley sighed, rolling his eyes silently and shoving Wafi off. Wafi gasps, and frowns. "What? Is that it!? Are you breaking up with me?" Wafi asked frantically, dramatically crying. "Boring." Harley muttered, leaning back slightly and sipping on his drink. Wafi frowned, not getting the attention he wanted. "Is that all you're going to say to me?"

"So boring."

Baker tips his drink over his mouth, frowning when he realized it was empty. When did that happen? So, obviously, he grabs another.

____

"Hell to the no." Yoshi said, shaking his head. Baker rolled his eyes. It had been at least two hours, and even Baker could tell everyone was decently out of it. Kai smiled, poking Yoshi's side. "It will be fun. Besides, if you don't pick then nothing will happen." Kai persuades, giving Yoshi a knowing look. Yoshi rolled his eyes, shrugging. "Fine. But don't expect anything more than a kiss." Yoshi muttered.

Mago had suggested they play a game, but it was Kai's idea to spin the bottle, mixed with seven minutes in heaven. But instead of seven minutes, it was randomized, so the two people won't know how much time they had in the closet. Harley was quiet, sipping on his drink. Baker didn't exactly know how many drinks he had, he lost count. "Harley, you in?" Baker asked, tilting his head back to look at him. He had somehow gone from sitting straight to laying his head on the other's lap. He was mad about it though, and Yoshi didn't seem mad about it either.

"Fine, but only this once."

Baker drunkenly cheered, clapping his hands. He didn't know why Harley would ever say yes to this, but he wasn't mad. Somewhat happy actually. "Ok, lemme go first then."

____

Mago didn't know too much about spinning the bottle. But he did know one thing, never be judgemental. Cause that usually ends badly, aka rejection. But, on the other side, everyone in this circle is hot, and Mago would let any of them fuck in for free.

Kai holds the empty beer bottle, placing it on the wooden floor. He spins it, the bottle creating a loud glass sound as it spun on the wood indents. The tip of the bottle slowed to a stop, its glass opening landing straight on Mago. The tan boy here squeals coming from different sides of the circle. He smiles, looking up at Kai, who smiles back at him. "Come on." Kai said simply, standing up from his place on the floor. He placed his beer bottle down, looking at Mago. "Ugh, fine." Mago said, bored. But, he shocked himself with excitement.

Mago didn't expect Kai to grab his hand, but the boy did, leading him to the closet. It was a small coat closet, but it would work. Kai opened the door, letting Mago step in first, before Kai followed suit. Kai shut the door, darkness encapsulating them. "Start!" Yoshi yelled from behind the door. Mago has never once in his life played spin the bottle or seven seconds of heaven, or any games you would play at a high school party. He was too busy making out with Hisoki.

Kai lightly placed a hand on his cheek, tilting his chin up, but he didn't lean in close. Mago could barely see the boy in front of him, the crack at the bottom of the door creating enough light to get a hint of him. But that was enough for Mago.

He had a black hat on, strings of a deep black silhouette covering his face. His aqua green eyes pierced through Mago's gray ones. His hair wasn't full like Baker's, or fluffy like Yoshi's, but instead wiry strands of hair, going down to his button nose. His thin lips create a line, his sharp jaw symmetrical. When the hell did this boy look so hot? "Will you let me kiss you?" He asked, a thin eyebrow raised. He didn't let go of Mago's chin, instead, taking a step closer. The space was already small, but now they were only centimeters apart.

"When will you just get on with it?" Mago backfired, a tiny smirk on his face. Kai laughed, his straight face breaking into a smile. Damn the duality the man has. Kai leaned closer, connecting their lips. The kiss was soft and delicate, careful with every move. He seemed more experienced than Mago, moving his lips and tilting his head in just the right way. Not teasing, but enjoying the careful moment. He could feel Kai slip his hand down to Mago's waist, pulling him even closer.

"TIMES UP- oh shit!" Wafi yelled, opening the door. Bright light flooded the small room. Mago was about to push him away, but Kai held onto his waist, slowly breaking the warm kiss. Baker pulled him back, laughing. "How was it?" Baker teased as Kai finally let him go. He could feel butterflies having a good ole time in his stomach. He felt like a teenager again, like his first kiss. "Good." Kai said, sitting down at his seat. Mago followed suit, sitting back down next to Baker. "How much time did we get?" Kai asked, as Wafi and Baker sat back down. Mago pulled Baker into his lap. "Three minutes." Baker answered, sprawled out onto Mago's lap.

"Who wants to go next?" Yoshi asked, sitting up. He seemed intrigued, like this was some reality show. Well, in some ways it was. It was silent for a moment, no one wanting to spin.

Wafi pointed to Harley, who glared at him. "Harley?" Yoshi asked, gesturing to the bottle. The student scoffed. "Hell no, I'm not doing that." Mago groaned, laying on the hardwood floor. "Ugh, come on. Nothing bad will happen from being in a closet with someone. You don't even have to make out!" Mago bartered, looking at Harley. He seemed irritated by them, but no one minded..

Mago tried to kick the glass bottle to Harley, missing and bursting out laughing from the terrible kick. Yoshi rolled his eyes, pushing the bottle to Harley. "Fine." He muttered softly." The boy held it firmly in his hands, before placing it down in the middle of the circle, quickly spinning the bottle. The loud echoed noise started up again, this time the repetition turning into a beat. However as the bottle slowed, it was obvious who would be picked.

"Baker, your turn."
