Chapter 18 - Chapter 17

Mago loved school, but only on days where Mago understood. Today was not one of those days. Mago, instead of listening to Hisoki talk about building blocks to an English sentence, Mago was focusing on his journalism essay. It was due in two days, and all Mago has done was the intro paragraph. He felt stubid. He lays his head on the wall, mentally groaning. What was he supposed to do now?

He didn't notice the bell ring or Hisoki's lack of voice in the room. He looked up from his paper, instantly locking eyes with Hisoki. He was leaning on the whiteboard, his head tilted towards the wall. "Is that a yes?" Hisoki asked cheekily. He looked around at the silent room, everyone was looking at him. Why? "Depends. What did you ask again?" Yoshi giggled from his seat, and Kai had a smile. "Help, we got thirty minutes of class left, and you seemed to be stressed out over something. Want help?"

Wait…. What? They wanted to help Mago, the boy who knows he's mean. Hisoki used to say that he wasn't, instead of that he was just very protective, but he stopped when Mago kept denying it. He shook his head. "No, I think I'm fine. Thanks though." Mago says honestly, happy that they wanted to help. But he had to do this on his own, he was better at doing stuff on his own.

"Mago…" Hisoki warned as Mago started to pack up. Mago huffed, lifting his head to glare at Hisoki. "Why do you keep saying that like I'm always in trouble!?" He yells, gaining Hisoki's full attention. He places the papers that he was organizing down, leaning forwards onto his hands, which were placed firmly on the desk. "Because you always are."

Fine! Fine, It's an essay." He mumbles, standing up from his seat. He was hesitant. This must be some sort of confusing and confidential pranks or jokes. Probably payback for what Mago had done at the basketball match. He walked down to the middle seat, Kai, Wafi, Yoshi, and Baker crowding around his computer. "Wait, you have to write over a thousand words?" Baker asked, astonished.

Mago smiled and nodded. He thought he was good at school, especially since he's studying journalism. Wafi hums, looking at the screen. It was silent as everyone read the paragraph. "You're writing an essay about how bees aren't useful.?" Kai asks, resting his chin on Mago's shoulder. Mago hums, pressing the enter bar to start the next paragraph. "Now, I forgot. How do you write an essay?" Wafi's question wasn't answered, as all five boys pondered over something each of them had just learned. They stayed quiet thinking.

Mago looked up, watching Hisoki stare back at them in amusement. However, before he could say anything, Harley spoke up. "How to write an essay? Introductory, then the thesis says what the body paragraphs are about. For example, ´I like something because of x, y, and z.' X would be the topic of one body paragraph, Y would be the topic of the second, and Z would be the topic of the third. The last paragraph in the summary. Just summarize all the shit into a paragraph." Mago's stared quietly at Harley as he turned to look at Mago. "I know those other four are dipshits, so I didn't expect much from them. But I did expect a lot more from you, Mago." He says, before turning back around.

Mago rolled his eyes at the insult, turning to Hisoki, who smiled. "That's a five-point-o student talking, you guys better listen." He advises, before going to sit back onto his seat. "Ugh, just from him talking about essays makes my brain hurt." Kai groans from his shoulder. The tanned boy reaches his other hand to flick Kai. He instantly jerked his head back from the pain, holding his forehead.

"Then why did you offer?" The university student asks, laughing. Wafi had pulled the computer, turning it to him. "Because we were being nice. We didn't expect you to say yes." Baker grumbles from behind, Mago turned, threatening the boy to flick him as well. "Ok, let's break this up. It would be embarrassing to say that you got into a fight because of bees." Yoshi chuckles, going in between Baker and Mago. That made the entire group laugh. "Hey! I didn't get to choose! It was between five!"

Yoshi raised an eyebrow, giving him a look. "So, out of five. You had to pick the stupidest one? I should be disappointed-"

"Woah.." Baker mumbles, cutting Yoshi off. Mago turns to him. Wafi and Harley were both looking at the computer. Harley was typing, while Wafi was pointing to different things. Baker was behind them, looking over the two's shoulders. When did Harley even get out of his seat? Harley stops typing, looking up at Mago with a glare. "Your thesis could be better. But your evidence is decent. I wrote the second paragraph for you." He mutters, turning the computer to face Mago. Yoshi came to his side, reading it as well.

Wafi scoffs, nudging Harley. "No, Har-Har-Snuggles-Cutie is just being a meanie! Your evidence is really good, you did your research well. Next time I see a bee, I won't hesitate to kill it." Wafi says happily, wrapping his arms together.. Harley silently shrugged his shoulders off, walking down the aisle to grab his bookbag, before walking out. Hisoki didn't stop him, sighing and looking over at Wafi. "You should have asked before you did that." He scolded, though it was meaningless at the least. Wafi frowned.

"But baby, me and him were friends." Mago didn't know if he was about to laugh or get jealous. Before he could react, however, Yoshi pulls at Wafi's arm. "Hey! That's your teacher!" He pulled Wafi out, Baker following him. As the door shut, Mago sighed, closing his computer. He grabbed his bag, sliding his laptop into the protector. He walked over to Hisoki's desk, swinging one arm around his shoulder. "Hey, baby." He said seductively, jokingly placing a hand over Hisoki's. The teacher looked up at him, annoyed. "Get out."

And for once, Mago listened.
