I entered the room in the girls' dormitory, closed the door behind me and fell down onto the free bed. Crying. I can clearly recall the hot scene that occurred only moments before, on the bed opposite side of the room. How his hands had explored her body? Just thinking about it makes my eyes leaky. Have I been so dull? Had I never realized how happy he makes me feel? Why had I only now noticed him? Is it because he has a girlfriend or the fact that his girlfriend is Violette. Come to think of it, I hadn't just took notice in him. It seemed that my heart had already had him in her grasp, but I was fool to even notice. How could I had been so damn blind? How come I couldn't have recognized what's in front of my eyes the entire time, for crying out loud!? I cried louder. Sorrowful and broken. Violette made her way through the door and inched closer. She knelt down to my level and asked if I wanted to join their movie night activities. I shook my head without looking at her. "Well, okay then!" She said as she took her stance. Slowly she made her way towards the door. I can tell that she really wants to cheer me up. My body tensed up entirely when Yuuki's voice came from the hallway, "The offer still stands if you feel like joining us." I kept quiet. I'm trying to keep myself from crying, but failed miserably. I turn my face into the pillow and cried my heart out. After quite some time had passed, I took my phone from the side table and dialed my brother's number.
"Hey you, is now the time to be calling?" Night asked. "Sorry, I should've called earlier," I feel the need as to apologize, but my voice trembled unconditionally. "What's the matter? Don't tell me that your already missing the jackass?" He asked me mockingly. I swallowed down my tears. "Haven't he told you?" I questioned him. "Told me what?" He just had to ask. Well, I guess not. Seems that I'm the one who's going to have to break the news to him. "He dumped me." Silence. Just as quickly as it came, it passed. "He. Did. WHAT!?" He exclaimed. "Oh, I'm so going to ring his neck," my brother continued. I sighed at his statement. "Yeah sure, whatever! May I please talk to Renski?" I could hear words such as bloody bastard and killing spree, faintly in the background as Night handed the phone over to his wife. "I'm all ears. Talk to me doll." Her voice filled my ears. "I've made a major mistake by coming back here. I want to be a Lector, don't get me wrong but I cannot be here," I babbled. Tears rolling freely from my eyes. "Now, please don't cry. What happened Scarlett?" Her voice calm and peaceful. She will make a great mother. I swiped the thought to the back of my mind. "I- I am (sniff sniff) in love w- with..... Yu- Yu-" I couldn't finish as Violette entered the room. "Yugaya!" I stated a make believe name. Hoping that Renski would see through this little stunt. "Oh dear me! Yuuki huh? I would've never pictured him to be your type. Well, stranger things happens everyday." After that, we've ended the conversation by greeting one another. I put my phone down beside my pillow. "So spill the beans. Who's Yugaya?" Violette asked arching her brows. "I can see that this is my queue," Yuuki said giving his friend a kiss. I sucked in a visible breath. One that didn't pass him unnoticed. "Goodbye Scarlett. See you around." He greeted me with an adorable little smile. It doesn't make me feel any better. I feel like screaming. It's not fair. Violette can taste his lips pressed up against hers. I wish I was so lucky. I envy her! "So? Who is Yugaya?" She asked at once after Yuuki had left the room. "His this utterly gorgeous hunky man who I've met on the train. We had an instant connection and a lot in common. Unfortunately time caught up with us. We'll never see each other again," I lied through my teeth. Hopefully she doesn't take notice in my dishonesty. This entire situation is making somebody out of me who I dislike. I can't come out and say 'Hey, I'm miserably in love with your boyfriend. Do you mind if we share him?' Yeah right. That would be catastrophic on so many levels.
I need to paint a picture of a realistic man and make sure that it sounds nothing like Yuuki. That could be a definite challenge. She's sure to ask any minute now how this stranger looked. "What's he like- he sounds like a dream?" She asked. Just as I predicted. Maybe it sounds like a dream, because it is just a lousy made up fantasy. Nothing more, nothing less. But I'm not about to burst my bubble anytime soon. "He had gorgeous locks of black hair, that reminds me of a conspiracy of ravens. The color of his eyes and that of a cloudless day could merge into one. A mesmerizing blue." She looked at me startled. A strange twinkle flickered within her eyes. Oh, God! Did I just describe somebody that she knew? "It sounds a lot like our buddy Rei," she informed me. Holy shit. Come to think of it, it has a remarkable resemblance. Her statement left me speechless. Not knowing where to add, 'cause I can't withdraw any of my fabricated information.
I still can't believe that I had just described Ogami and rebaptized him, by adding bits and pieces of our friends' names together. Like he's playing the role in some lame Tv show. This might be the cheesiest thing that I have ever done. A lie that's bound to blow up in my face and when that happens I'll most likely lose everything that's wonderful and dear to me. I've successfully dug my own grave. All that's left for me to do is to climb in.
