Chapter 1 - Kane, an "Average person"

A Young man would be walking down the road, carrying his 5'9" 210 lb build quite easily. The man had a bored expression covering his face, showing he had been walking for some time. The street was empty, so the only sound that was audible belonged to him and the tap of his shoes on the pavement.

The mans name was Kane, a 19 year old who had recently got out of school. Kane was moving away, at least, he was trying to. The process of moving everything without help to another building was not easy.

'At least I got a truck rented online'

Kane smiled at the thought, he had gotten a rental truck brought to his house, so he would be able to move his stuff much faster than before. The truck was supposedly at his house right now, this was confirmed when Kane took the turn and saw his parents driveway.

The truck was sitting there, U-HAUL written in large letters on the side that he could see. Kane was extremely grateful that the ability to deliver the trucks to a persons house had been implemented into their website.

He kept walking after taking the turn, his pace speeding up as his excitement grew, he hadn't ever moved before, so his joy was apparent. When he reached the truck, Kane opened the door and hopped in, examining the inside before getting back out. He went to the back of the vehicle and opened the large doors, revealing an open space.

It was time to move, so he went inside the house, noticing that his parents were not home. Shrugging off his parents absence by guessing they were shopping, Kane walked to his room. When he climbed the stairs, he felt a tingling sensation in the back of his head.

Kane ignored the tingling and walked to his room, but the closer he got, the worse it became. At one point, when he was about to open the door, he couldn't ignore the feeling anymore. Running back down the stairs, he felt the tingle recede.

"What the- what was that!?"

Kane yelled in confusion, unsure of what was going on. Regaining his bearings, he stood up, if he had anything in his hands, it would've been on the floor a while ago. Kane prepared himself and looked at the top of the stairs, and at his door. He took a single step, and felt the tingling return, not strong enough to effect him.

Kane took another step, then a few more. Just like before, the feeling got stronger, every step he took brought him closer to the door, which in turn made the tingling change to pain. When he reached his door again, the ache turned into a migraine.

Kane, in his pained state, thought he saw glowing under the door, maybe he was wrong. That possibility might have been introduced by the intense pain he felt. As his hand was put on the door handle, Kane felt like he would lose consciousness anytime soon. His vision stayed clear however, which didn't seem normal for such a painful migraine. Even if his vision was clear, he could not process what he saw very well, if he wasn't familiar with the location, he would have been quite lost.

Kane finally brought the courage upon himself to open the door. He turned the handle, and pushed the door open, taking a step into the darkness. His foot didn't find a hold, and he started to fall. He grabbed the door frame, but the pain grew instantly, and he lost consciousnesses, falling into an impossible void that would've rendered an architect speechless.
