Chapter 44 - Michelle's Influence

Iris took a deep breath and let it out, again and again, trying to contain the rage in her heart.

They walked slowly through the dense forest. Had it not been for the power of the flower fairies to pave the way for them, Iris would have destroyed this forest because she was impatient.

Litzy landed in front of Iris, her shape instantly changed into a big black dog. She barked at Iris and then ran forward alone, not long after, she came again with the horse that was used by Morgan and Thomas.

"They seem to be separated."

Alita moves around the horse. There are no wounds or scratches on it, everything looks as if the two men accidentally abandoned their horses for something else.

"Where is the lake?" Iris asked while gritting her teeth, she glanced around. Litzy circled in the same place, but her pet couldn't find the smell left there at all.

"Need to walk there in a while."

Rilie pointed at the road in front of her helplessly. She moaned weakly, as a fairy, she never let her feet go too far. She just lazed on her flowers all day, enjoying the sunshine.

If this wasn't the Great Witches in front of her, she would have led them astray in the middle of this dense forest.

Sarah followed the three people in front of her quietly, she didn't make a sound since earlier, Alita put her hand on the horse. In an instant, the horse was absorbed with its strength into the space.

"I don't think they're far from here." Alita blinked, she looked around. There were some broken branches not far from them, the vampire girl approached slowly.

"Someone has been here."

Iris frowned, even though they had a few clues. Why did it feel like Morgan and Thomas' existence was getting harder and harder to reach.

Rilie again led the group towards the lake. she said, the whole trip they spent in silence, even Litzy, who was walking beside Iris, was silent.

There was no trace, no smell, they disappeared as if swallowed by the earth.

Iris was getting more and more restless from time to time, she almost exploded with anger when they reached the pond that Rilie was referring to.

"Usually here." Rilie opened her voice. The lake in front of them was a river flowing from the hills, the faint sound of a waterfall could be heard from a distance.

"Woof! Woof! Woof!"

Litzy who was squatting near the water and suddenly barked, Alita immediately looked at Iris. "What did she say?"

Iris swallowed her saliva and clenched her fists. "She smelled Thomas' blood."

Alita immediately turned towards the hill. She wondered if Thomas could be there?

"Did someone hurt him?"

Iris shook her head slowly. Even though she looked calm on the surface, her heart was beating fast and she couldn't hold back the restless feeling any longer.

They walked along the edge of the lake and came to a waterfall, Alita blinked when she saw a magnificent wooden house standing firmly in front of them.

"This …."

"It seems this is the residence of the White Wolf, right?"

Sarah glanced around, she was quite amazed by the vibrant scenery around here, the owner of the house must be trying hard to beautify this place.

Rilie muttered under her breath, her eyes focused on the flowers at the edge of the waterfall, she couldn't help but greet her people with joy.

Alita narrowed her eyes when she heard the sound of footsteps coming out of the door. She tugged at Iris' robes and put them on alert in an instant.

A woman came out the door, she had a smile on her face, her blonde hair was flowing in the wind. All but a piece of cloth covering her body was wrapped in a thin black rope.

Iris clenched her fists, this woman is a White Wolf.

Before Iris could open her mouth, Morgan's figure stood behind that woman, the man staring back at Iris blankly.

Iris was flabbergasted.

What had happened to her Morgan?

Michelle crossed her arms, she knew exactly what this group of witches meant for Morgan, but they were too late, Morgan was already under her influence.

"Kill them, " Michelle said coldly, her lips curled into a wide grin.

Alita trembled. After all, the natural enemies of the Vampire race were Werewolves. She immediately spread her wings and soared into the air.

Iris looked at Michelle, she don't know what the White Wolf was thinking. Michelle was intending to use Morgan to kill Iris, absolutely absurd, she must be playing around.

Morgan jumped and quickly his body turned into a gray wolf. He opened his mouth wide and prepared to bite the witch.

Sarah backed away, she had no interest in meddling in Iris' matters. She found a good place to watch the show.

A root emerged from the ground and blocked Morgan, the wolf howled, his eyes turning blood red.

"Morgan! It's me, Iris!" Iris screamed, and she dodged Morgan's attack, Alita was confused, she didn't move at all from her place.

The wolf paid no heed to Iris. It howled again and swung its claws filled with sharp claws towards Iris.

The Witch became furious, she entangled Morgan by her roots. The wolf revolted violently, his eyes glaring at Iris with hatred.

"I'm Iris!"

Iris touched Morgan's head and touched the wolf's fur gently, the Witch trying to control her temper, which was ready to explode at any moment at the woman still standing in the doorway with her arms crossed.

The woman dared to play with hers, manipulating Morgan mind.

Iris clenched her fists, she didn't care if the woman was in the same pack or had blood relations with Morgan, as long as they bothered her, Iris would kill her.

Iris throws red smoke at Michelle, who is startled and falls backward. Morgan roars, breaking the noose that is holding him and preparing to attack Iris once more.

Alita gritted her teeth, if she just stayed silent and watched, she wouldn't find Thomas. The Vampire girl swooped down, she pulled a dagger out of her storage room and drew it at Michelle, who was still sitting on the floor.

SRAT!

Michelle sighed. Luckily, she had quick reflexes and she rolled away from Alita, her eyes glaring at the sight of a Vampire standing in front of her.

"Vampire," Michelle said while licking the corners of her lips, she grinned widely. "I haven't eaten a vampire heart in a long time."

"Damn it!" Alita gripped her dagger tightly, trying to restrain herself from shaking face to face in front of the wolves today.

Michelle chuckled softly, she looked at Alita with unblinking eyes.

"A vampire ... who comes from the royal family, what a delightful coincidence."
