The maturity ceremony, which is usually held every ten years, is messed up because of Morgan's tantrum, provoked by Luke's trivial words.
Almost all of the candidates were seriously injured, especially the provocation, Luke. The man had broken ribs and an arm. He couldn't even get out of bed for days.
The result of the maturity ceremony is not yet clear, Alpha did not announce it and chose to keep her mouth shut with the elders and ordered everyone in the pack not to ask questions for a while.
Morgan, the suspect, was languishing in a house on the outskirts of the forest. He circled restlessly around the house.
It was easy for him to barge out and return to the Blue Moon pack settlement, but what locked him here was the pack leader. The Alpha he had respected the most since childhood, he clenched his fists tightly while trying to suppress his urge to come out.
"Morgan, how are you feeling?"
A middle-aged woman came into the house with a basket filled with fruit. She put it on the nightstand near the bed, looking at the man standing by the window.
"I'm fine," said Morgan nonchalantly, then sat on the bed and glanced at the basket full of fruit. "No meat?"
The woman smiled, she waved her hand in front of Morgan's face.
"You're being punished. No meat for the next week."
Morgan snorted, he ruffled his hair and looked at the middle-aged woman with a pitiful look. "I have no idea what I did wrong ... Why should I be punished when I was able to beat them all?"
The woman smiled gently. Once, when Morgan was a fat boy who kept running with his big belly and bulging cheeks full of food, the boy would whine at him every time because of hunger. However, now Morgan has transformed into a well-built man and inherited pure Alpha power from his family.
Inherited power is like a double-edged sword, on the one hand, it has great power, which is very useful for the future of the Blue Moon pack. On the other hand, the madness it has makes it the biggest threat to the Blue Moon pack.
"You still can't control your powers, Morgan."
"Does this mean I failed?" Morgan asked Morgan with teary eyes. In front of others, he might look arrogant, but in front of this middle-aged woman, Morgan dropped all his defenses. He knelt and dropped his face in her lap.
"Auntie ... Did I fail? "
The woman sighed, her hand moving through Morgan's hair.
"Alpha still hasn't decided on the outcome."
Morgan clenched his fists, he didn't know whether to respond happily or sadly. It had been a week since the coming of age ceremony had passed and he had no idea how the pack was doing, he didn't know Giselle's condition and wondered if Giselle missed him.
"Relax, everything will be fine."
Morgan nodded his head, he closed his eyes for a moment and let the soft hands brush his hair. For a moment, he felt he was not alone in this world.
Since he was little, Morgan never understood why his last name was different from his aunt's, he didn't know what his parents looked like. Morgan only knew that his aunt and husband took care of him with all their hearts.
Later, he learned that bearing the name Lloyd, not just an ordinary patch. He knew that there was something extraordinary when he first awakened the wolf inside him at the age of thirteen. People called his power a form of madness.
Morgan wasn't the kind of person to throw in all the bullshit people were talking about, he proved himself to be a werewolf, not as crazy as they thought he was until he was seventeen. But why did this all-important maturity ceremony spiral out of control?
Morgan felt a deep sadness.
Footsteps came from outside, Morgan straightened up and stood up. Auntie took his hand and smiled gently.
CLICK!
The pack's most respected leader opened the door, signaling Morgan to follow him into the living room.
"We have to talk to the elders."
Morgan nodded his head helplessly. The middle-aged woman gently rubbed Morgan's shoulder, trying to calm him down. The two men stepped into the living room and found that all the elderly were already sitting there waiting.
"Lloyd, how are you feeling? Does it get any better than this?"
The small-statured elder smiled at him, Morgan nodded his head slowly.
"I'm fine now."
"Heh, of course, since it's been a week already, trying to lose his sanity again would have destroyed our settlement."
Another elderly person immediately started blabbering, making the atmosphere of the room awkward.
"I wouldn't do that," Morgan argued in a muffled voice.
"How do we know? You even almost killed another candidate yesterday."
"I… I didn't mean it like that!"
"Stop talking nonsense!"
Alpha patted the table and his voice instantly silenced everyone, they were forced to shut their mouths with Alpha's pressure.
Alpha continued again, "We are here to find a solution to overcome Lloyd's power, which is getting out of control."
Then he took a deep breath and glanced at Morgan, who was sitting straight in front of him.
"Kid, we have to suppress your power."
Morgan's body immediately stiffened, his hands under the table clenched tightly.
"What do you mean by pressing?"
"Your power is too great and you still can't control it completely. We will temporarily seal that power."
Morgan gritted his teeth, sealing his power. That meant he was no different from a human who had no powers.
"I do not desire!"Morgan stood up and slapped his hands on the table. "I won't let you do that to me."
"Lloyd calm down. This is for the safety of our pack."
The elders started to get angry with Morgan's refusal, except for the elder who was small in stature, he curled his lips and looked straight at the Alpha.
"If he could control it, you wouldn't have sealed his power, would you?"
When Alpha looked at the elderly man's meaningful smile, he frowned. "And what do you mean?"
"Let him be my disciple, I will try to get him to control his power."
Everyone in the living room suddenly fell into silence, they looked at the small stature elder and Alpha, in turn, taking Morgan as a disciple was a big risk, Morgan's strength was unpredictable, he could go on a rampage at any time and the worst possible life was at stake.
Alpha smiled, she narrowed her eyes at Morgan.
"Kid, did you hear that? From now on, that person beside you is your teacher."
Morgan glanced with a confused look on his face, he never had a teacher and he didn't need a teacher. He turned to look at the elder.
"Zac, call me Elder Zac starting today."
Morgan didn't know how to explain the strange feeling in his heart, he squeezed his pants and glanced at Alpha, who was still looking at him with narrowed eyes as if hinting that he should do what he said.
"Alright … Elder Zac."
