Chapter 28 - 28. Erlangga’s Invitation

-The Best Valentine-

"Why him?" Gilang asked. He didn't even talk all day with Bintang.

"Is he jealous?" he said doubtfully.

"Tsk! What do you think he likes with Maura." snapped Erlang.

"Yes, you can do it. Lang! Think about it, since last week's incident at the library, too, Bintang was angry because you and Maura almost kissed. A no-no estuary."

Erlang was silent, he thought about all the words of his best friend. When you think about it, it all makes sense. Plus, this bet also started with him.

"Besides, Bintang is weird, ok we know all that. But Lang, I don't think he can know everything about Maura, if he doesn't have feelings. The reason for hate can't make a definite alibi."

Yes, the hatred that Bintang said seemed to create a false alibi so he wouldn't be caught loving a girl from a different dormitory.

Erlang closed his eyes. Bintang knows is the weirdest type of guy, easygoing and tends to be mischievous.

All this time he man had never even looked at the girls from his own dormitory. It felt too strange for a man as relaxed as Bintang to know Maura any further.

"He even knows her full name," Erlang muttered quietly. He remembered the first time their bet had started, and that was when Bintang mentioned Maura's name.

Gilang mumbled in agreement, "Err… I even forgot Maura's full name, maybe she's the only one who knows. Who is it… er.. Maura Oktober Magen?"

"Tsk!! Her name is Maura Oktavia, not October. What month do you think she is." Erlang protested.

"Maura Oktavia Magen, ahh ... I remember. Well, then you're the second person after Bintang to know."

Erlang took a deep breath, he rubbed his face. It's not that he's proud, it's just that anger dominates him.

'Not like that! It's true that Gilang's brain can't store much.'

------The Best Valentine-------

The smartest man for three years in a row, whose scores always reach perfect numbers is Erlangga Lorenzo.

At least it was easy for Erlang to remember and conclude from the results of his impromptu discussion with Gilang last night.

That Bintang most likely likes Maura.

"Your relationship with him is unique," Gilang half laughed when he said that last night.

"What do you mean?"

"You and Bintang are like a drama actors whose titles are swapped mate. Bintang is the same as Sella ananyou arr the same as Maura, even though it's actually the opposite. You like Sella and Bintang like Maura."

Bintang likes Maura…

The eyebrows are raised, don't you think? If so then everything will break even, Bintang will feel what he is feeling right now.

Same jealousy.

Degh..

Instantly his lips parted wide, as his gray irises caught the figure of the girl who had been avoiding him for a week.

It was Maura, who was walking briskly, almost running along the corridor of the second floor.

Erlang shifted. He pushed his way through the other children, Maura didn't seem to be paying much attention to the surroundings, dhe was immediately surprised when Erlang caught her hand, and took her away.

"What the hell lang!!"

Erlang pulled her into a corner, "You avoid the cave, okay?"

"N-no, what are you doing.." Maura stammered.

Because in fact she was avoiding the man in front of her. damn it! Last week's events at the library had completely left her faceless.

This week she had been desperately avoiding her roommate's questions about Erlangga Lorenzo.

"Then why every time you see me, you run away?"

"Nothing, that's just how you feel." said Maura.

"You're not going to the library anymore."

'Shucks! That's to avoid you and the resident of the hostel, Bintang Pradipta.'

Maura hissed in annoyance at that fact. She sighed softly, looking at Erlang who still looked dissatisfied with her answer.

"Actually Lang, what do you want?" Maura narrowed her eyes suspiciously. She put her hands in front of him.

"You're avoiding me aren't you?" again.. damn!

Maura rolled her eyes bored, why was this man in front of her so stubborn.

Maura glanced at the surroundings that were already crowded. The kids from the other hostel must have been out for lunch. She was feeling more and more confused, afraid of being found out.

While she was busy arguing with herself, without realizing the distance between her face and Erlang was now only a few inches, considering they were leaning on each other's faces asking for an answer.

Maura was silent when her eyes accidentally met Erlang's gray irises. The two of them didn't understand why their bodies seemed to freeze at the same time, unable to move.

They stared at each other for a moment, as if admiring each other's beauty.

"So..?"

Maura immediately realized, she immediately pushed herself away from Erlang and cleared her throat while smoothing her clothes awkwardly.

'What was? Is he really fascinated?'

"W-what?" Maura mumbled half stuttering, she must be blushing right now.

"This week, we're going on a date, aren't we?"

Maura was silent, she had almost forgotten about this one. "Weekend is time for me to go home."

"Want me to pick you up at home?" Erlang asked.

Maura glanced away quickly. Obviously it was not the right choice considering his mother was very obsessed with Erlang.

"N-no need, I can do it myself. Just tell me where are we dating?"

------The Best Valentine------

Maura had arrived at the place Erlang had promised for their meeting point, the town square.

She was nervous, her heart was beating very fast ever since she ran away from his mother's question. Every now and then she glanced at her clothes, a regular t-shirt with a long blazer.

Her mother arbitrarily forced Maura to wear a dress, obviously she flatly refused. As a result, Maura just resigned herself to wearing clothes that were too ordinary for a date.

Because this is the only shirt she accidentally pulled while running away.

Damn it!!

Maura let out a long sigh, at least she was wearing a skirt that made herself look like a real girl.

"Maura."

Erlang called her. Maura looked up, looking at the man who was now running towards her.

His hair fluttered in the wind, his lips curled into a thin smile. The man was like an angel approaching her rather than a human. Even without the branded clothes clinging to hus body, that face was too perfect.

Truly an angel incarnate.

'As long as it's not the Angel of Death, he's not ready to die for now.'

"It's been a long time?" Erlang asked when the man was in front of him.

"Err… not really, I just arrived."

Erlang nodded in understanding. He took out two tickets from his jacket pocket, "We're watching. Gilang happened to give this for our date." He exclaimed, showing two tekets that he bought in the name of Gilang Jupiter.

"You like watching, don't you?"

Maura nodded. They walked hand in hand, "As long as it's not a horror film."

"Are you afraid?"

Maura glanced, she glanced at Erlang. "Not me, but Lo."

"I'm not afraid.." Erlang muttered quickly.

Maura chuckled softly, "Then who wants to give all their wealth to Mr. and Mrs. ghost, in an empty room yesterday, eh? You are a coward, don't worry, Lang."

Unlucky!!

Erlang stroked his hair, embarrassed. "Not afraid.."

"Then?"

"Yeah, just don't dare."

Maura rolled her eyes bored, 'It's the same, you bastard!'
