As soon as we entered the train, dozens of unused luggage greeted our eyes. Kane ordered everyone to search the bags, including the ones resting above the shelves. The two siblings did their best and presented what they found inside these sacks.
Those bags contained thick plastic wraps, clothes, underwear, and documents. Those plastic cover belonged to some people running a business. Unfortunately, the world had turned into zombie land, which flopped those businesses.
Some pieces of baggage even had money inside their wallets, which Aiko happily stole a few Yens from inside. He was a yakuza, for fuck's sake. Of course, Aiko wanted some spare change with him throughout our trip. But when Kane saw through his deceit and greed, he scolded Aiko and told him to throw those bills away.
"What can money buy right now?! The world is ending! Put yourself together, man!" Kane snarled near Aiko's ears, hoping that the zombies didn't hear him.
Aiko realised his actions and returned the coins to their respective pockets. That money was worth nothing more but a display in this apocalyptic world.
And did I also mention that I found a dildo inside one of those locked bags? It was an erected sword carved by the greatest adult toy store. Well, someone locked that shit for a reason, with a picture of a man right next to it. And that piqued my interest, leading to this embarrassing moment.
After Aiko and Kane placed the dildo on the side, we continued rummaging through the things we could find useful. It turned out we cannot use these things in a zombie apocalypse. Having some nice clothes would make us comfortable. But bringing them was a different story.
If we carried some bags on our shoulders, that luggage would just slow us down. Those zombies would not match our pace if we stumbled on the ground. If I was a hungry zombie too, I would have taken that opportunity and fed myself.
"Are you sure we're on the track? Do we have like a different way in?" I asked, while peeking through the tunnel of love.
And when my ming thought about the tunnel of love, I meant to the tunnel of doom. Because every love story always had its inevitable destruction. But if I told them that right now, that would press our morale more than what we had already experienced.
But according to Aiko, this station was the only way inside their base. And even if we found another entry, he doubted those zombies wouldn't swarm that area. Since Japan was a gigantic city, that thought was not a farfetched idea.
"We're even lucky to have this inoperable train here, or else we would walk directly into them. You kids should know how to thank the things surrounding you," Aiko grumbled, and led the way. "Here, wrap yourselves with plastic wrappers. They might come in handy if those zombies bite our arm."
"Except for you, Kawai. You're a zombie now, so this thing won't work on you," Kane exclaimed, while taking the wrapper off from my hand.
"Geez. You don't have to be that rough to me."
Aiko and Kanye knew how these zombies worked since he saw first-hand infected humans. People were still ignorant brats who did not know how their virus worked, except for me. But despite my lack of knowledge, those zombies looked the same from the games I played.
That plastic wrapper sheathed could sheath six arms for two people. We tested it out that our plan would work, knowing the zombies would gnaw the shit out of it. And when our scheme showcased favourable results, we finally filled our eyes with hope.
It took them a few minutes to wrap ourselves with the plastic wrapper while I watched the zombies lurking outside. However, after a moment, we recognized that the cover could not envelop everyone. That binding was good enough for three people, which the siblings used to protect themselves.
But the problem emerged when the two yakuza had to choose who would wear the plastic armour. Kane and Aiko looked at each other's eyes, wondering who would wear that plastic cover placed on the seat.
Aiko was the first one to comment and handed over the plastic wrapper to Kane. "You're our leader. You should be the one who lives, not me."
"But, Aiko. Everyone needs you too. Emiko, my daughter, needs you…," Kane exclaimed, and nudged the covering away from him. "I need you, Aiko."
Aiko shook his head and retorted, "You're the one who has a family. Don't worry about me, man. I got your back, always. We've been here in this shit-hole for ten years. You got my back, and I got yours."
After the two agreed, Kane suited up and wrapped himself with the plastic sheath we found. As soon as he cut the last slip, we were finally ready to venture onwards.
But before we could even do anything, the zombies up ahead marched straight towards us. They didn't know that we were here, since we made no noise while doing our business. These undead creatures that appeared before us were the passengers of this train, which could be the owner of this luggage.
I revealed my frying pans with me and prepared myself for a fight. But Kane hindered me from using these weapons, saying that it would just create noise.
After countless debates, I agreed to Kane's decision and succumbed to using my bare fists. These hands of mine had bare skin, with my bones and muscles showing. I can't die, but I can't deal with any damage from these monsters.
My system was not fit for that, considering that I already had a cheat spell. And that was the immortality ability and zombie bite, which I hadn't used at all.
Without taking a brief break, our group headed forward. It was the only way we could progress towards the yakuza's base and escape this place alive.
We crept to the sides and remained hidden until further notice. Those zombies at our fore slowly made their way towards our figures. And it won't be too long before those mother-fuckers would notice us.
"Kawai, you stay at the back and protect those siblings. Aiko, you three, and I would do the fighting at the front lines," Kane instructed, while gripping the metallic pole in his hands.
Those three other yakuza agreed as they heard the instructions coming from their Oyabun. Since he was the one in charge, nobody dared to disobey him. And why would they when Kane handled his group well?
Aiko also had the same weapon as Kane, which they collected before we arrived here. Those two yakuza thought they would use those weapons if something could happen. And what did I know? Something happened!
But we had barely enough time to commend those yakuza's actions and focus on our plan. And after hearing those words, I flipped out and wondered the reason behind those instructions.
"Why would I be at the back?! I want to take the spotlight too! I can't die and turn into zombies! There's no reason for me to stick behind!" I claimed."
"You don't understand, Kawai. You are immortal, but we aren't. You can't die, but we could. Aiko and I don't care about dying…. for the sake of those two. Now, don't be an idiot and stick with the plan!" Kane scolded me, while clenching his fist. "Those zombies won't just attack us upfront. They could bash their heads across these screens if they have to. Just be alive and keep your eyes peeled for anything."
As soon as Kane spoke those words, Aiko and Kane rushed to the zombies and killed the first few ones in front of them. When they lessened the numbers, they brawled against five more zombies with their poles.
Those poles made wonders as they guided Kane and Aiko into a gruesome battle. Those zombies who faced those two yakuza did not know what came after them. That pair of gangsters crushed those undead creatures as if they were kids in the playground, opting for a fight against armed soldiers.
And thanks to the plastic wrapper, those zombies couldn't sink their jaws on Kane's and Aiko's skin. After knowing what they could do, those two cleared the path and shouted at us.
"FOLLOW US! COME ON, HURRY! WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME!" Kane shouted, despite the horde hearing us.
Unfortunately, Kane had already familiarized himself that the swarm of zombies would come our way. He told us that something more powerful out there must have known our presence a long time ago. Kane knew about these special undead beings, which they faced on the street.
And upon using his imaginations, Kane deduced that someone out there would have the ability to call a horde at will.
Those zombies Kane and Aiko fought weren't just five of them. There were also special zombies at the train's far end who had heard all the noise coming from here. And it was also Kane's intuition.
Without having second thoughts, I urged the two siblings to move forward on this train. But after taking some steps, the zombies on each side broke through the window.
Shards of glass rained upon us, together with the zombies diving through the holes. Those siblings shielded their faces with their arms and hoped for the best.
These two may have scrimmaged with some zombies earlier using a gun, but not this time. Those zombies caught them by surprise and prepared themselves to munch on the humans.
