Chereads / Zombie Harem with a System / Chapter 36 - DEADLINE

Chapter 36 - DEADLINE

(Author's Note: I do not condone such violent actions. Kawai's just doing his thing because he's fighting against zombified creatures.)

"Whatever you do, don't you open this door, you hear me? And just hide from the zombies! Kane and Aiko would take care of them while I smooch this grandmother zombie!" I yelled at the two siblings, watching me strangle the poor old lady. "I meant to say fight the zombie! You… You know how it is!"

The two siblings bulged their eyes upon hearing my words. And right after I said those sentences, I pounced on the grandmother and kissed…. err tackled her. That old hag only had one breast on her chest, with one already scraped from the door. She glared into my eyes and moaned…. growled at me like some kind of lunatic. I tried pressing the grandmother's body on the ground, but this old lady refused to budge.

"Stop kissing me, grandma! You reek with fucking cocaine and cocktail! Jesus Christ, when was the last time you took a shower!" I exclaimed, while getting my ass whooped by this hag.

"You want a piece of my Excalibur, huh? I will show you what I'm made of! My girlfriend didn't ask me out because of my looks… Well, kinda. But I have long and fast hands!"

It was a brutal scene that ended up back and forth. The grandmother tried assaulting me with her rotting mouth while I ripped her body apart for as long as I could remember. That fight was just a one-sided brawl between two zombies, killing each other.

But that war had a catch. No matter how hard this grandmother thrust her flabby peach bottom on my face, this zombie hag can't win against me.

I was an immortal, and this zombie wasn't.

Asami slowly raised her hands and covered Touma's sight from the quivering train. The railcar acted like a car of love when two couples couldn't afford a motel. Instead of those sexy moaning voices, the old hag snarled at me while chewing my man-stick. I let out a twelve-year-old girl squeal while this ancient girl gnawed the hell out of my already dead, but still alive, corpse.

"A-Are you okay there, Kawai?" Asami asked, with her hands still covering Touma's eyes.

"NEVER BEEN BETTER!"

After a numberless sparring match against the old hag, I finally grabbed a bag and slammed it against the zombie. Thanks to my ability, that bag got amplified by my skill. It, later on, proved its worth and increased my damage, since I used a make-shift weapon.

Although the bag did not kill the grandmother, it was enough to push her further inside the train while I escaped. I told the two siblings to open the door and let me outside the railcar. The pair heeded my command as I hurled myself outside the train. When I recovered my balance, I hurriedly shut the door tight. I left the zombie inside the vehicle and shifted places with it.

"EAT SHIT, YOU FUCKING CORPSE!" I yelled, while raising my middle finger at the zombie trapped inside.

Thanks to the modern materials Japan had, the train didn't budge an inch. It never quivered even when the superior regular zombie banged her head against the train's walls. This train was sturdy enough to keep one super strong zombie at bay, which I used as a cell for the undead.

"That's one way to care for her," Touma reacted, with his eyes sparkling at me.

That little boy believed I made a fool out of the zombie and used my environment to our advantage. When, in reality, I wanted to run away from the old hag…. I realised I was not into older women….. Or maybe it was just this old hag?

Regardless of that answer, we finally survived that one zombie. I told the two to follow my lead and help our boys, Kane and Aiko. Those two lads dealt with the same circumstance.

But upon arriving at our destination, the two yakuza had already dealt with the problem. That horde of zombies I witnessed earlier became a lump of corpses at the side. Each of them had their heads pulled off or their limbs amputated. Some zombies still crawled towards us, but none of them posed a threat to our well-being.

However, that fight cost the two gangsters their weapons. Clipped in their hand were the pole's remnants, which had already bent from their excessive usage. Kane and Aiko released the metallic bars as if releasing some Pokemon in their box's PC and bid them farewell.

(Author's Note: Another Pokemon Reference XDDD)

"You guys are an awesome duo! You're like Captain America and Iron Man! Or like a fork for my spoon! Do you know what I mean? The two of you know what I mean!" I exclaimed, while skipping my way towards the two blokes.

Even Asami and Touma carved a smile on their faces, knowing that we didn't have to deal with the zombies. Thanks to these brawn gangsters, we could stride onwards with ease.

"Come on, you three. If you have time to celebrate, keep moving. Our base is just up ahead," Kane remarked, and continued walking ahead. "And it's nothing, really."

"People call him the Oyabun for a reason, kids. Give the guy some respect. And don't mess with him. I'm an adult, but I'm afraid of Kane," Aiko whispered towards us, and gave us a wink.

All three of us gaped our mouths wide open upon hearing Aiko's words. Even though Aika warned us about Kane, that man just became even cooler. Aiko also did his work and helped him, which made him an awesome guy.

Throughout our journey, Kane explained that those regular yet super zombies were actually previous gang members. Since they had been through a lot of intense training, their muscles became melee guns. And if those muscle heads turned into zombies, they would inherit their strength into their own.

Well, at least that's what I heard from Kane. So it could happen again once we could reach the surface, considering that there were more exercise junkies.

Before we could arrive at the base, Kane and Aiko briefed us on our plan. We didn't head inside her for the phone that I needed to charge. According to the two yakuza, this place was also our means to escape the tunnel.

"There is a working handcar that could lead us directly towards Tokyo Metro Suka Hospital. Don't worry. A functional engine runs that handcar. Our finest underground engineers built that thing that could carry five people…. Which is all of us. And that place is where my daughter's staying right now. Since that remains a shelter for the survivors, your girlfriend must also be there waiting for you, Kawai," Kane said, which I nodded at his words. "But this place is filled with bombs."

"BOMBS?!" I quickly reacted. "WHO PLACES BOMBS INSIDE THEIR BASE?!"

Kane heaved out a sigh and continued his story. "There are bombs in this area since we have a lot more enemies than you could ever imagine. We need to use those bombs to kill the zombies and to attract their attention. From what I've discovered, these assholes follow the sound's origin. If we implode this area, those zombies on the surface would eventually rush into this place. And if we do that, our journey could be as smooth as butter. Do we have any questions?"

"How safe is that handcar you're talking about? And what if they're zombies on the rails?" I asked.

Kane shook his head and answered, "Kawai, you've fought against monstrous zombified insects, a gigantic titan, and super regular zombies. What are those walking dead would you be afraid of? Don't tell me that's the limit of your fear?"

I couldn't retort against those words that Kane spewed against me. It both mocked my entire being while pushing me forward to my limits. That mother-fucker was right.

I have been through a lot lately. And those running bastards won't kill me. Well, not on my watch.

After an hour, we finally arrived at the base this yakuza mentioned. Fortunately, there were no zombies in our vicinity. It may be because of their tight securities. Before we could arrive here, we entered steeped tunnels like a labyrinth. And Kane told us earlier they allowed no one inside this place.

This area served like a temple that the higher ranks of yakuza could enter. As luck would have it, we met the two leaders standing on top of their thrones.

"We're here," Kane said, and invited us inside the yakuza base.

The place did not have shabby walls, from what I expected. This site even had gadgets of some sort to entertain the enormous underground fishes. These gangsters even had an awesome light display, but the power had cut it off.

"Not too bad for a yakuza hideout, I must say," I voiced my concerns, and entered the place.

"We first need to check for our arsenal….. Shit."

As soon as Kane said those words, he opened the cabin and found... nothing there. He had expected some reserved guns they stole and bought on the surface. But a blank drawer welcomed our eyes, with empty boxes nestled inside.

"All of those shitheads took them! I told them to leave some spare! Fuck!"

But after fiddling around the ground, my eyes caught a golden shell in the corner. Upon picking it with my hands, this bullet perfectly fit the golden desert eagle Kane gave me. I told them I found one bullet on the ground while reloading my gun.

However, when that happened, those grim thoughts inside my head activated. My system also notified me that two hours had already passed by.

"Food….. I am…. Hungry," I growled, while holding the cabinet's edge with my hand.
