Chereads / Zombie Harem with a System / Chapter 32 - Hoarder and My Group!

Chapter 32 - Hoarder and My Group!

Before the zombies could munch over the two siblings, I used my arms as a blockade and let those undead creatures nibble on it. A sense of pleasure cruised through my mind as if I had finally felt euphoria inside of me. All the dopamine inside of me clapped as the living dead bit my ligament as if we were having the most passionate night of our lives.

But I was clearly kidding myself when that happened. My mouth turned sour after this event, which made me jerk back in disgust.

"THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN EAT ME IS MY GIRLFRIEND!" I shouted, and slammed my frying pan against the zombie.

Although Kane forbade me from using this weapon, a horde was already on its way in our direction. Even though my frying pans would create some noise, those zombies would arrive around this train. Those undead creatures would do that with or without my skillets.

It was better to use them instead of letting them rot away in my pockets. But as I fought these zombies from left and right, I gave one pan for the girl to defend her brother and herself.

"Do you know how to use a pan?" I asked, while slapping the zombie in front of me.

The girl shook, but took the frying pan in my hands. "No. You're the only one I know who uses it as a weapon."

"You clearly haven't played any zombies game now, have you?"

After our exchange, the girl watched me use the frying pan as I brawled with the zombie. However, the girl needed to do something when we spotted an undead being creeping beside her.

I wanted to help the girl, but my hands were already full of these bastards. And even though I could help that lass, she needed to learn how to fight with any weapon. That gun she used earlier failed all of us as she wasted those bullets.

Now was the time for the girl to redeem herself, or else I would kick her out of this team.

Much to my surprise, the girl mimicked my movements and bashed the frying pan against the zombie's head. The girl hit the zombie too hard and broke half of the zombie's skull. Thanks to her effort, the zombie fell flat on the floor and didn't bother anyone anymore.

"Are you a frying pan master?! That was awesome!" I shouted, but averted my gaze from the girl.

After countless slaps against those zombies, I finally found an opening and tossed one of them outside the train. Although I didn't kill the zombie, it was enough to buy the two siblings time to run away from the undead.

Within a few minutes, I killed most zombies marching behind us. But another set of those bastards emerged, especially after hearing the noise coming from up ahead.

"Now might be the time to kill that horde calling weirdo, Kane!" I suggested, while launching myself once again against these zombies.

Kane heeded my instructions and ordered Aiko to move onwards. He also told us we needed to move together or else those zombies would feast over their bodies. Those undead shitheads won't eat mine, since I was also one of them.

After saying those demands, those two siblings dashed forward without looking back. It was better that way since I can't die from this zombie horde. And since the two of them had plastic-wrapped covering their arms, they could easily stay behind Kane and Aiko.

"Now, for my final act! I will make you zombies disappear!" I exclaimed, and kept tossing the zombies out from the train.

Those undead creatures growled at me as they slammed their faces against the ground. Thankfully, before I threw them off, I amputated their limbs using my frying pan. Well, the more correct term to describe that is "pounding the zombie's bones like nails".

However, that performance cost me something. It was not gold or money, but my frying pan. As luck would have it, my trusty skillet got deformed into Hitler's butt. Even the handle flew right off from my hand after my last strike against the zombies.

I paid my respects at my frying pan, clasped my hands together, and prayed for a better afterlife. "So long, partner. I hope you get your hands on a master chef that has a Michelin star!"

(Author's note: Michelin star is the ultimate hallmark of culinary excellence.)

As soon as I caught up with the group, the special zombie greeted our eyes. It had a slim, humanoid body filled with green mucus and purple abscess. That zombie stood eight feet on the ground, without eyes inside its sockets. Despite having absent orbs, the zombie could effortlessly track our figure.

If that zombie couldn't, it won't have a reason to call this many undead beings in one place.

While this event happened, my system notified me about something. A window slid through my view before me with the description of the zombie at our fore. It even saved a picture based on what my eyes captured.

[Hoarder (classified as special zombie). Hoarders are zombies that mutated on their own. Since they are an evolved form of a regular zombie, they earned the ability to call a horde of zombies around the area. Although Hoarders can call zombies around its place, they can never control the horde, unlike Dwellers. These Hoarders can't draw the horde in a different direction.]

[Weaknesses: Destroy the core as soon as possible before it could lure more zombies in that area. Hoarders have fragile bodies, which would die within minutes.]

[Strengths: If a Hoarder feels threatened, it would create blaring sounds that could call for Dweller's help.]

I glanced back at the Hoarder and studied its physique for the second time. The system explained every detail of this monster perfectly. Hoarder had a beacon pulsating over its chest. It also radiated a violet hue, together with its glop sticking out.

I returned my gaze to my system and browsed some more, as if there was additional information beside it. Unfortunately, that was the only detail that the system offered, which was enough to take down this mother-fucker.

We just needed to avoid setting off the Hoarder's alarm and call the attention of the "Dweller".

"Handy!" I remarked, while rubbing my head with my arms. "But why do I feel like my system is a Pokedex, and these zombies are Pokemon? Bah, screw this. I better tell those idiots about the Hoarder's descriptions."

I tried opening up a new window and searched for the special zombie "Dweller". My system mentioned its name twice now on my screen, but it didn't tell me anything about it.

According to my system, I would only unlock the special zombie pages as soon as I level up or see them first-hand. With no clues or vision, my system couldn't appraise those zombies.

"Fine then! Keep your secrets!"

After digesting the information from my system, I rushed towards my group and told them everything I knew about Hoarders. I explained everything the system wrote while fighting against zombies. Those infected people breached the train and continued swarming in our direction.

But as soon as I finished telling them everything, Kane snapped his fingers and notified us of his plan.

"If Hoarders are weak against anything, then we would easily defeat it. I will be the one to strike the Hoarder, while the rest of you watch my back. Aiko would act as my shadow and help me fight that thing. Right past this tunnel would be our base. So you three need to clean up the zombies and block every entrance after defeating the Hoarder."

Those were the words that Kane said as he rushed towards the side. He aimed to kill the Hoarder before it could call the Dweller, or whoever that shit was. Aiko provided him support while the rest of us stayed behind.

Our three's task was to stay alive when the two yakuza fought against that Hoarder. But despite that simple task, these two siblings were not up for the challenge.

The confidence that the little boy had earlier sunk deep into the Earth's core as he witnessed a throng of undead racing in our direction. Our only saving grace at this point was the lone special zombie at the far end of this train. Since the rest of these undead creatures were just regular zombies, all we had to do was to fend them off.

I couldn't also find any weapon that we could use to fight these zombies. These two siblings only had the plastic cover wrapped around their arms. And I doubted these youngsters could pack a punch, especially if one of them was years younger than me.

"Whatever you do, don't get yourself bitten. Just push them to the side and hope for the best. Use those bags as shields like the riot. You know those things, right? Anyway, I don't care. Just use them as shields!"

While that happened, those three yakuza lost their lives to save Kane and Aiko. Since the zombies overwhelmed those two leaders, the three yakuza sacrificed themselves and became shields for Aiko and Oyabun.

Those three gangsters never turned into one of those bastards since the zombies ripped off their heads. Everyone present inside the train widened their eyes upon witnessing such a heavy scene. Kane and Aiko had no time to mourn for the three as they continued clashing their poles against the zombies at our fore.

We also had to deal against the Hoarder before it could call every zombie in our vicinity.
