AELIA REVA
"Hi, you must be the new guest."
The girl stands in front of me and extends her hand forward for me to shake.
I smile and extend my hand as well to shake hers.
Suddenly, she intakes a sharp breath and her eyes widen for a second then changes her expression to a happy one.
"Yeah. I'm Aelia. You can call me lia." I let out softly.
"I'm Victoria. This is Hector," She says pointed at one of the guys sitting on the sofa, one leg over the other.
Hector nods at me with a small smile. A cute dimple on the right side of his lips appears as he does it.
"And this mustard-loving man is Tyler," Victoria says while making a cringe face at Tyler. And he rolls his eye at Victoria.
I like mustard. She must not like it.
"You have no taste. Anyways, it's a pleasure to have you here darling." Tyler stands up from his position on the couch and confidently walks towards us.
The left side of his lip curls up as he smirks at me and extends his hand towards me.
I put my hand in his to shake but he takes me by surprise by moving my hand to his lips and planting a kiss on the back of my hand making me slightly blush as I'm not used to such ways.
Just like Victoria he takes a sharp intake of breath and smirks again.
"It's gonna be fun having you here." He says and releases my hand.
"What is your room number. I'll take you there." Victoria says driving my attention from Tyler.
"Room 4," I tell her and she nods at me before leading me to the stairs.
I smile at the two men one last time and follow her up the magnificent staircase and through the hallway.
The hallway was adorned with various paintings of what appeared to be men and women in different scenarios.
There were two statues of a man and woman at the top of the staircase. The man and the woman seem to have royal apparel. They were standing facing each other as the man has the woman's hands in his with their foreheads resting on each other.
They looked in love.
The statue was made to express love making me think if I'll ever find my mate or not.
One part of me wants to find him or her but the other part of me doesn't want to.
Even if I did find my mate they'll most likely reject me for multiple reasons.
No one seems to want me and I like to keep it that way.
Soon we reach a door with old-fashioned handles, when I say old I mean the 60's kinda old.
Everything in this inn was vintage, the whole place would be an antique museum or something like that.
Victoria pushes the door open and walks in and I follow suit.
"Well, here it is. Do you like it?" She asks sitting on the bed.
I look around. A queen-size bed, with a side table, a vanity sits at the left side of the room with a huge window beside it and a study table on the other side. And a closet opposite to the bed with a bathroom on its left side.
I like it.
"Yep. It's great." I say looking back at her smiling.
I put my bag on the bed to start unpacking.
"So, I know you probably know this but just to remind you again there are a few things you should know," Vitoria says making herself comfortable on the bed.
I get a feeling that we'll make good friends.
I nod at her to let her continue.
"So, the breakfast is at 9:00 am every day and dinner at 8:00 pm. People usually don't eat lunch here so who wants to eat it, usually take care of it themselves. We don't have a chef here so the cooking duty changes every week. It's hector's week this time. And the last and the most important thing you should know is not to roam around outside of this town at midnight." She says staring right into my eyes her voice stern when she lets out the last words.
I give her a questionable look.
"Even if Orhill is a safe town, it doesn't mean it will be safe outside of it too plus unheavenly creatures are said to lurk around at night."
She lets out rolling her eyes.
"And it's for your safety. Be careful."
I nod at her and she gets up walking towards the door. She looks back and me and says," The dinner is at 8 so you can settle in and relax till then." And walks out after sending me a wink.
She seems nice. I like her.
I walk to the door and lock it to be safe. Locking the door has been a habit of mine since I was a little girl, so I can have a little relief that I'm safe.
I tie my hair up with a hair tie and start taking my clothes out of the bags and placing them into the closet.
After that, I settle my makeup and hair products on the vanity and set up the restroom with my things.
After completing the unpacking I take a fresh pair of clothes ad walk into the restroom for a long and relaxing shower.
Coming out of the restroom drying my hair with a towel, I set the towel on the hook on the wall and sit on my bed sighing.
I better let Eli know I'm safe and sound.
I quickly send a text to him letting him know that I've reached the town safe and sound so he can finally be at rest.
AELIA|
I'm in the town. Try not to miss me.
MAMA BEAR|
I'll have the house to myself. I won't be missing you brat.
I scoff at his reply. Of course, he'll enjoy the house to himself.
I close off my phone and slip under the soft covers of the bed and move around to find a comfortable position to sleep.
Soon I close my eyes and fall into a dreamless sleep getting a break from all the painful memories and thoughts.

.
I'm woken up by someone knocking at my door in a rhythm. I groan as I get up till feeling tired from the continuous traveling.
I get up from the bed and walk to the door and unlock it and come face to face with a playful-looking Tyler.
"You must be hella tired Darling, I've been knocking for a while now." He says as he leans against the door frame with his arms crossed making his biceps more noticeable and appealing to my eyes.
He seems to notice me looking at his arms as his smirk deepens and he leans towards me more making my cheeks and neck go blush red.
What can I say the only man I had in my life is my brother.
I focus on his face again, telling myself not to fall for him.
It's not for me.
"Sorry for making you wait, I had a long ride here," I say and he smiles softly at me.
"No worries darling, just wanted to let you know the dinner is ready, everyone is down at the table already. You should meet the others as well. They are quite excited to meet you." He says in a soft tone running his eyes all over my face.
No man has ever talked to me in a pleasant tone besides my brother. But I know I must not feel anything for anyone.
"Let me freshen up a little, I'll be down in a minute," I say making his smirk change into a sweet smile.
He moves away from the door frame standing straight and I notice the height difference.
"Don't be too long, little brownie." He says leaning down towards me and planting a kiss on my right cheek making my blush come back ten times harder.
He leans back and chuckles softly probably noticing my face and walks away and down the hallway.
Damn ok.
I shake my head to get rid of the thoughts and walk to the restroom to wash my face.
After that, I move out of the room and shut it and stroll through the hallway, and make my way down the staircase to see Tyler standing at the end of it going through his phone.
As I reach down he looks at me and smiles putting his phone in his pocket.
"Come I'll take you to the dining area." He says extending his hand for me to take.
I look at his extended hand and back to his face to see him looking at me with a cute expression.
I take his hand making his smile when into a heartwarming grin. He guides me to the winning area which is adjacent to the kitchen. I can hear the loud commotion from here happening in the dining area.
As we enter I'm greeted with a long table filled with unfamiliar faces and two familiar ones.
As we enter all the commotion dies down as the folks sitting there looks at me some with welcoming expression and some with questionable looks.
Tyler leaves my hand and puts his hand on the small of my back leading to the two empty seats beside Victoria.
He pulls one of the chairs out for me to sit and I thank him for it. He has such good manners. I and Victoria smile at each other when I sit down, she looks at Tyler who is sitting beside me, and wiggles her eyebrows at me making me roll my eyes.
I look around the table seeing people looking right at me. I don't like it one bit. I smile at them.
Suddenly, Victoria stands up and pulls me up with her, and it feels like the first day of class.
"Well, guys we have a new member in our little family after a long time. Let's make her feel at home. This is Aelia, Aelia this is everybody. Introduce yourselves, I ain't your mama." Victoria says to them as she sits down making everyone laugh at her.
I sit down as well.
A guy sitting at the right end of the table speaks up making me look at him. He also, like others here, is a handsome man. Light brown hair with emerald eyes making anyone fall in love with him.
"I'm Caleb, it's nice to have someone new to live with, they bore the hell out of me," He says as he gives me a goofy smile and I laugh t his comment.
"I'm Vernon, You are breathtaking, to say the least." He lets out and I feel Tyler stiffen beside me. I smile at his words not knowing what to do.
"And I'm Vincent the better-looking twin." The guy next to Vernon says and I see the similarities between the two. They are identical.
"We look the same, you narcissist!" Vernon exclaims as he slams his elbow into his brother's arm. And they soon start to argue in another language I don't know.
Tyler sighs and shakes his head and leans towards my ear and whispers, "Ignore these dorks, bickering is all that they do." I have come to love his accent.
I smile at him and he pets my head. Why does he have to be so sweet?
I look away from him and we all start to eat. And let me tell you the food tastes so damn good. They all make small talk within themselves talking about the weather and what happened with them today.
Shortly after one of the twins coughs loudly and looks at Victoria glancing at me as if he's talking about me to her.
The other guys look at Victoria as well and soon they ask the most unexpected question.
"So, Aelia what are you?" Vernon asks me making the rest facepalm themselves as I stare at him weirdly.
"What he means is that I know you already know that we are not humans. We want to know if you're a vampire or a wolf but we can't tell cause your scent is different." Victoria explains as I start to get nervous.
Tyler notices that and grabs my hand under the table making Me look at him and he gives me a supporting smile before speaking.
"Let's not make her feel unsafe or nervous. Just so you know darling, me, Victoria, and Hector are vampires and Caleb and the twins are werewolves. I can smell the wolf scent in you but it's week. Are you a hybrid by any chance?"
He asks me still holding my hand in my lap and massaging it with his thumb.
I'm afraid. Afraid they might hate me and would want me gone like everyone in my life has. And I know these folks have great personalities and mean no harm but one can never be too sure.
That's how you get yourself killed when you let someone too close.
Seeing the conflict look on my face, Tyler squeezes my hand bringing me back from my thoughts.
"You don't have to worry my darling, we mean no harm. You can trust us." He says calmly.
I take a deep breath before revealing my true identity.
"I'm a half-fairy. A fire fairy and well like you said you can smell wolf blood in me coz I am a half-wolf." I say trying to explain them. Although I haven't felt my wolf in a long time. I was never good at explaining things from the start.
"So you're a hybrid between a wolf and a fairy?" Hector asks. It's the first time he has spoken to me and the first time he has ever spoken since I got here.
I nod at him. There is a second of silence.
"Holy Moly you are so cool!"
"You're a fire fairy! Damn! Show us! Show us!" Vincent exclaims leaving his utensils and clapping his hands like a five-year-old.
The others chuckle at him and continue eating.
I look at Tyler to confirm that is it safe to show it or not. He nods at me looking at me with an unknown look. We share a smile and I put my utensils in their places and sit back.
This is the first time I'm excited rather than tense to show someone what I can do.
What to show them?hmm.
I look at the beautiful candle stand with five candles unlit in the middle. I focus on it, and the candles light up making the folks hoot.
"Show something more!" Vernon lets out in a challenging and playful voice.
I roll my eyes at him and bring my hand up and snap my fingers and suddenly a halo made of fire is floating on the top of his head and his playful smile is wiped off of his face.
The others praise me and laugh at Vernon's face. I snap my fingers again and the fire halo is gone much to his relief.
Everyone gets back to eating and making small talk here and there. And I feel somewhat peaceful, something I haven't felt before.
Is this what having friends is like? If yes then I don't want to lose any of them.
I feel eyes on me when I drink water from the glass. I put the glass back down and look at my side to see Tyler looking at me with a tiny smirk. I give him a questionable look.
I lean a little towards him and all if something is wrong.
"Is everything ok Tyler?" His smirks change into a soft smile and he looks into my eyes and says,
"Yeah."
"Then why have you been staring at me all through dinner," I ask him making him chuckle softly.
"That's because it's hard to turn away from you darling."
