He heard a sound and his right ear twitched in response. He felt something ominous coming from behind him. Slowly he reached out a hand towards the river and grabbed a rock.
He had no intention of throughing the rock he decided to wait until the person got closer. I so he could get a closer look at them and if they are an enemy he would have a better chance at striking them.
He waited until the person got closer. They moved closer step by step and suddenly they leaped towards his ungaurded back. He felt a chill ran down his spine and jumped towards his left.
The kobalt barely missed him, and fell towards the river. The water filled his face and was blinded for a second, as he lifted his head and looked towards his enemy all he saw was grey.
He saw the enemy plung head first into the water. The creature was unnatural orange scaled monster. He was unsure what the creature was but he knew if he didn't strike now it was unlikely he would get this chance again.
He grabbed onto the in his right hand tighter making his knuckles whiter. He grabbed the rocker tighter and brought it down on the creature.
The kobalt only saw grey and then howled in pain. The rock smashed again his scaled face cousing blood and scales to fly off. He jumped back and brought his arm to his face and wiped it.
The red blood died the orange scales red and his bloodied face made him look more terrifying. His looked more terrifying with the broken scales on his face. Kobold had a serious expression on his face, as he faced his prey. Although he wasn't seriously injured, he was still annoyed by the minar injury and took his opponent more seriously.
He could tell his opponent was a hard one. He was hoping to take out his opponent in one hit, even if he could not instantly kill the creature he was hoping to at least greatly injured it.
But unfortunately that was not the case, he remembered when the rock made impact with the creatures face. It felt like hitting a hard surface, like hit a rock or stone. He could feel his arm slightly tremble.
Although the rock wasn't able to break through the scales and hit the flesh underneath and injure it. However he was able to break through the scales and expose a weakpoint, but he wasn't happy at all about his small achievement. He looked at the kobold, and then at his surroundings. He was trying to find something to use against the creature in front of him.
But before he could think of something, the kobalt suddenly charged at him. He was slightly surprised by the creatures action, but only for a moment. He could tell instantly that the creature was a close combat type. With it's sharp claws and teeth, one could tell it was the type to attack up close.
The Kobalt ran towards his distracted opponent and attempted to tackle him and rip out his throat. He quickly got close to the human and just as he was about to tackle him. He felt pain on the side of his head, which caused him to miss his target and fall.
He got hit on the side of his head and fell into the water. The river water wasnt deep only about head deep. The Kobold tried lift himself up but just as he was about too much he felt a heavy weight on his back.
Pushing him back into the water, causing him to have trouble breathing. He struggled with his head plunged into the water cutting off the circulation of his breathing.
As he watched the kobold trying to get up again, he jumped onto it's back pinning the creature on to the bottom of the river. Water had made his clothes wet but he didn't care.
He had his entire weight on the Kobolds back and kept on pressing down on the creatures head slowly but surely drowning it. The kobold thrashed around, hoping to lift his head and take in some air.
The kobold was starting to get anxious about his situation. He may be arrogant and stubborn but he thought be would die like this, no did not wish to die like this. He tried his hardest to lift his head with all his willpower, but it was all for not.
He felt his body starting to get numb he started to regret using all his energy. Now all he could do was wait for his body for his body to stop moving and drown.
