A fat man ran through the woods, he was running for his life. Not far behind the man was a woman, however her appearance was unusual. Her skin was green and eyes were red, she was clade in what looked like full plate armor. But unlike normal full plate armor this one seemed lighter and more flexible.
It should of been some kind of leather armor, because the woman was extremely fast in the armor. It would be impossible to move like that in full plate armor. Just as she was about to catch the man, he unexpectedly took a quick right turn into an open area.
It looked like some kind of ruins, there was weeds growing between the tiles on the floor and what looked like mold.
The area was strange, there were six stone pillars with some cracks in it. Each of the pillars were faceing each other and the fat man ran through the pillars and touched one of them.
She stopped right at the entrance of the place and looked at the pillar he touched with concern. But nothing happened, just as she was about to ignore the feeling the pillar was giving her and catch up to the man that was escaping.
Just as she took a step forward, the wall to her left slowly slid open. She looked to her left; but all she saw was darkness. She looked at the passage deeper trying to find out it's secrets.
Then something came out of the dark passage way. It was impossible to identify it, whatever it was, it was fast. All she saw was a brown shadow leaping from the darkness.
It didn't take long for her to see the entity. It had copper or bronze plating on his upper body as well as his lower body, which it was riding on a wheel. The creature had a humanoid upper body but a bizaar head, it didn't look human or humanoid.
It took a while for her to figure out what the creature was.
"A Golem?!!"
She shouted out loud, the creature was definitely a Golem. There were only two creatures that she knew of that made Golem, the archanmags and the gnomes.
The golem seemed to be one the one's synonymous with the gnomes. The design of the Golem olem seems to be less humanoid then the one's created by wizards and archanmages.
She lifted the dagger in her hand and stood in a fighting stance. The Golem leaned forward and moved before the woman and slashed down.
She moved back in the nick of time, causing the blade to dig into the ground. As the Golem tried to move it's blade from out of the ground. The woman had struke the Golems arm. The woman was definitely talented, she struke the joint of the Golems shoulder.
She pushed the dagger in deeper and pulled it out diaganinly severing the arm. As she moved back the arm fell, the Golem ignored it and continued to move forward lifting his other arm.
The Golem stretched out it's hand and attempted to grab the woman. The woman seemed to see the attack and dodge the attempt to grab her and counterattacked. She dodged and slashed the Golems arm.
The strike didn't do much damage besides leave a skrach the Golem arm created a "Dang" sound. She was not surprised by the failed attack.
With Golems especiall the metal and diamond Golems it was impossible to injure them without enchanted weapons. She did have one but it was better left for life and death situations.
She knew that she could deal with it with just her weapon alone. The Golems may be a sturddy bunch but they did have a weakness. That was their energy core and from what she knew of these type of Golems, she knew were the Golems core was.
She quickly moved towards the Golem almost as if she was going to embrace it. The Golem saw the human moving towards it, and attempted to grab the humans skull. And just as he about to catch the human, it ducked under his arm.
Just as it was about to make it's thrid attempt, it suddenly froze. It looked down and saw the shocking scene. A dagger stuck itself under it's armor. It felt it's energy slowly depleting, it's core had been damaged.
She removed the dagger from the Golem and turned to her right she saw the man hiding behind the last pillar. The reason she saw the man was because his gut stuck out. She walked forward towards the trembling man.
She was hired to deal with the man and that's what she intended to do. The man before her was tricky but not a troublesome opponent or hard to deal with.
Just before she reached him, she saw three more walls slide open and three Golems appeared from them. As soon as he Golems appeared they changed at her.Unlike the first battle this one was more intense. The battle lasted half an hour before the last Golem collapsed. She was exhausted and covered in scraches. She even lost some of her hair.
A few strands of her black hair was cut off during the fight. Along with her blood stained clothes it gave her an untidy appearance. She quickly appeared in front of the fat man and raised the dagger above her head.
Unfortunately just as she was about to bring the dagger down. The door that sealed entry into the building opened. The situation was too abruped.
Just as she was about to try and figure things out, flames appeared from the door; and threatened to burn her. She kicked the fat trembling man into the flames and leaped back.
And looked at the door, what appeared there boggled the mind. It looked at like a Golem like the one she saw earlier but it was much bigger and walked on two legs and it's left arm was a flamethrower.
She knew she could not fight it.
"If I knew this thing was here...I would have brought better equipment."
Her eyes were wide and she looked behind herself, but only for a second. She knew she had to be on guard in front of her new opponent.
She didn't take more than a moment to run away. She didn't know how far it would chase her. She ran pass the entrance of the courtyard and could hear the Golem right behind her. It's heavy foot steps shaked the ground, making it hard hard to ran.
She ran for about 20 minutes, but still felt the Golem behind her. She couldn't shake it no matter how hard she tried. She knew the only way out was to fight. She stopped and turned around.
