Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Silvia

When she heard the question, she was quiet for a moment.

"Like I said my name is Silvia. I'm somewhat of a contractor."

When he heard that he frowed a little, but let her continue.

"I was hired to find some one but unfortunately I ran into a little trouble and after escaping it I collapsed and you found me.

He could tell that wasn't the whole truth but he decided against pursuing it.

Alexander asked.

"Where are you from then?"

Silva answer.

"Veltaar that's where my home is."

"And that is...?"

She looked at him as she was looking at a fool.

"It's a kingdom in the east."

He thought about it for a moment and then slowly noded. As if to show he understood, even if he had no idea what she was talking about.

He couldn't come out and say he was confused about what she was talking about it. So he decided to remain quiet and try to pick up the pice he could understand. But she stopped talking and looked at the floor before her eyes stopped at the tooth laying at the corner and next to it layed the severed arm with piece missing.

She looked at him and slowly withdrew her dagger.

Alex saw what she was looking at and roughley could understand her thoughts. So he decided to explain. He explained everything to her minus the part about watking up in the middle of nowhere.

When finish exaplain everything she seemed to calme down a bit. She looked over at the arm again and said.

"You do know that Kobalts are poisonous right?"

He thought for awhile, oh so that's what those creatures are called. As for the poisonous part he alread figure that it was. That's why he took a piece of it, he was intending to eat a piece of it everday until his body got acostamed to it's posions.

He used a similar method on earth in order to gain immunity to most posions, but he never thought he would get poison resistance so quickly. Well its only minor poison resistance. He figured if he wanted to upgrade it, he would have to injest something even more poisonous than that.

But he was unfamiliar with this place, luckily the woman before him was someone that knew more than him. Even if she didn't know much about this place it was still more than him.

While he was thinking a question suddenly popped in his head, he looked at Silvia and ask.

"You said yo from a country in the East right?"

"Yes."

"Then how did you get here?"

She seemed hesitant for a second but decided to give him the information.

"I used a merchant caravan to travel here. It stopped by a village it should be here. I got off the caravan and went on my on my way."

She looked at him and asked.

"You know I never asked what village you're from and why is there a patch of soil on you."

He was cornered about the first question, and he looked for the second questions he looked down.

"Oh I fogot about that."

He reached down at the soil and dusted it off. It did leave a whole in his robes but he didn't care and could not see a wound, only a scar left in place. He was pleasantly surprised by how quickly he healed.

As for the first question he didn't have a answer to it. There was only one way he could answer that question.

He answered the question.

"It is a village close to here...you probably don't know it."

She looked at him more seriously and said.

"There is only one village near here and it so happens to be the caravans destination. It also happens to be the village I left from. I don't recall seeing you?"

"Damn it" he thought as he hoped she wouldn't say that.

"How long ago was that?"

She looked like she was in deep thought.

"I'm not sure how long I was unconscious for."

Alex looked at Silvia and said:

"I'm not sure how long you were unconscious for but for, but I know I found you early yesterday. So from when I found you I know it's been a little over a day."

He looked at her and told her:

"I don't know when you came or how long you where unconscious but at the moment that isn't important right now. Now that you are awake we can leave."

She looked at him for awhile and said.

"We"

He looked back at her and said:

"Yes we I was waiting for you to wake up before going back. I couldn't just leave you here alone and trying to take you back myself was impossible."

She was taken aback by his words before giving him a nod. She tried to get up of the ground. She felt somewhat dizzy when, she stood up; but it quickly passed.

She asked:

"Why don't we go to the village then?"

He had no reason to reject her proposal, although he didn't want to go; he couldn't have come up with a reason to reject her.

Although he could not do anything, if the need arises he would escape. His own life will always be the most important.

"So which way is your village?"

Her question brought him out of his thoughts. The question caused his eyes to widen slightly. He really did not know which way the village was. He tried to find some clues to the village's location but his mind only had his memorys.

He realised that he had to give an answer to her question.

"I'm still learn my directions so I might get lost."

She gave him an odd look and said slowly.

"Okay."

It was a short and sweet answer, but he sense the ridicule behind it. Alex realised that answer must of made him look like a fool, although it displeased him; he could not say anything because she was right to think that.
