The two left the tree and headed north for about an hour before getting to the place he first saw the Goblins. Recalling that memory, he remembered see a man.
The one they ambushed, he stopped for a moment while he was remembering where je saw the man coming from. Silvia looked over at him and asked.
"Why did you stop?"
Alex looked back at her and shook his head. She was getting annoyed for not getting a direct answer to her question but decided to remain quiet.
Before she could understand what was happening, she suddenly saw him turn and head east. She wanted to ask him why he was going that way but he cut her off.
"It's this way...what's taking so you so long?"
He turned back to look at her, she was still in a daze. She was still wondering what just happened. One moment he was just standing there the next he was acting like nothing happened.
"What was that?"
She asked while looking at right at him. He looked back at her and was quiet for second before answering.
"I was just making sure we weren't lost as all."
He said as he turned his back in front of him and started walking again. He was hoping in his hart that this was indeed going the right way. He was simply going on speculation right now.
They walked for a little longer before something came into view. It was a wooden building but there was something odd about it.
Feeling something ominous he quickly ran up to it. He found the entrance to the gate and saw the village but it was not as he expected. The village was destroyed, it was burned to the ground.
Silvia ran up to him and saw the look on his face. She looked in his direction and saw the same scene as him. However she had a serious look on face.
He was inwardly happy, with the village in such a state it became a lot easier to explain things. He wasn't excited about what happened to this place, it just made things more convenient for him.
He didn't even notice Silvia walking ahead of him. He only took notice of her when she already entered the village. He wanted to say something but noticed the look on her face.
He wondered if he should act like a normal person, that saw his village in ruins or he should simply remain quiet until she was done. He decided on the former, he realised it would seem suspicious if remained unemotional at this time.
