Before Alex could say anything two more figures appeared. They were dressed similarly and judging by the first mans reaction, they were likely his companions.
But he wasn't relaxed at all, when the two others appeared he had a more serious expression on his face. He didn't know them and judging from Silvia's expression she didn't know them either.
He looked and asked again:
"Who are you guys?"
The group seemed quiet for awhile before saying:
"We are hunter....I'm Benedict this is Cassian he waved to his left, the man waved his hand as a greeting before continuing and this while pointing to his right is Castallan. The one on his right seemed a little bigger not more muscular but a bit chubbier.
Given there attitude they seemed kind, which Alex found unusual. It hasn't even been 5 minutes and they were acting super friendly Silvia seemed okay with it but Alex found it strange.
He doesn't have an issue with kind people usually but there attitude was alittle odd. Not even 5 minutes passed and they were telling them about their village and where the closest city was, although he need that information they didn't ask for anything in return not even their names.
They said they were headed back to their village and asked if they would like to join them before Alex could say anything Silvia imediatly agreed. Alex followed them but constantly wore a serious expression.
He could not trust them ,as they made their way through the trees he constantly observed their surroundings to make sure this wasn't a trap or something.
The hunters saw him and could guess what he was doing but simply shaked their heads and continued leading the way. Soon they could see a high wall made of wood.
Alex and Silvia both starred at it and both almost immediately figured out that was the village. When they got to the gate, they saw someone stationed there, most likely the guard captain.
Alex looked over at him and left a little suppression from him. The man was big and burly with a thick brown beard covering his face and full pate armour. The gave Alex a feeling he never felt before.
"Was it fear?..."
He thought and shook his head, his instincts told him not to provoc the man in front of him. Although he had Silvia he wasn't sure how strong she was. The man infront of him and Silvia gave two different feelings.
But given the case he decided to remain respectful. When they moved passed the man he looked at the three men expressionlessly but that changed when his eyes fell on Alex and Silvia.He had a weary look on his face when he looked at them. He simply asked their names and told them not to cause trouble.
Alex and Silvia walked through the gate, and saw the interior of the village. There was plenty of wood houses and he could see a inn.
He could see it and breath out a mouth full of air. He walked up to the inn and walked into it, he looked at the interior for awhile before walking up to the counter.
The owner greeted him, Alex greeted him back and asked for two rooms. He owner reached down and got a dark brown book it didn't have any writing on it.
He opened the book and Alex could see writing in it but he could not make it. This was the second time, he could not make out the words. He thought about it for awhile although he could understand the people of this world it seemed he could not understand the writing.
Likely when he was traveling with the hunters here he found out most people from villages are ilitaret. He looked over at Silvia for brief second and thought about asking her, although he couldn't be sure about her identity she did say she was from a kingdom in the east, although this place might use a different launage she should know some even its a little bit its better then nothing.
He was taken out of his thoughts by the owners voice:
"Okay a room for two...that will be 14 broze coins."
He was surprised for a second because he had no idea how much that was. It was a currency he was unfamiliar with. It only lasted a second before he turned serious.
He had never checked if he even had any money since he got to this world. He quickly searched himself. He could see the look of the owner he had a unpleasant look on his face.
He was taking a long time to take out the money and the owner was getting impatient. He wanted to take young man in front of him and throw him out but he looked at the the youg woman next to him.
She looked odd, given her strange looks it drew attention.
