I opened my eyes to the sound of my alarm. Stretching my arm, I tapped the top, shutting it. I turned on to the bed and froze seeing Alex, the memories of last night flooding in. My cheeks turned red immediately.
I quickly got down from the bed, walked to the wardrobe, taking out my uniform and the longest towel I could find. I walked into the bathroom, took my bath and wore my clothes right there in the bathroom.
I looked at myself in the mirror and chuckled. A first year college student married. Looking at me, one would think I was seventeen. I stared at my uniform, I mean dress code. The college I attended was , of course, one of the best in the country, insisted the students followed a particular dress code as it would increase the level of discipline, so it wasn't actually a uniform but dresses we changed everyday of the week.
I sighed and walked out into the room. Alex wasn't in. I sat on the chair of the dressing table, picked up the brush and brushed my wavy long, dark hair, put on a face cream and that was it. I wasn't really a fan of makeup.
The door opened and Alex walked in. My heart skipped beats, looking at him. Pervert. He wasn't even putting on a shirt. Just a white joggers and his golden brown hair scattered on his head. I felt like touching it.
He glanced at me before turning and walking over to the wardrobe. And what was that, his annoying cute smirk.
I stood up and picked my bag, walking towards the door when he stopped me by calling my name.
"Yes?"I turned to him.
"You forget this"he said stretching my phone towards me.
"Oh"I muttered taking it. "Thanks"
"I'll be home late today, when you get back, make sure to pack whatever you'll need for the trip, I wouldn't want us missing our flight"he said and walked into the bathroom.
I walked out of the room and ran down the stairs. Turning right, I walked into Mr Michael.
I smiled at him, stopping his apology. "Good morning"
"Good morning"he replied.
"Please, come with me. Your food is ready. You wouldn't want to be late for school"he said and I just nodded and followed him, feeling awkward by his last statement.
After eating, my new driver took me to school in one of Alex's many cars. We got to school and I didn't realize how much I had missed it until I opened the door and stepped out.
Everyone's eye's were on me as I walked in and I meant everyone, both students and even the teachers walking past.
I increased my pace soon getting to the class. But just like when I stepped out of the car, everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to me. All~eyes~on~me.
"Ely"Megan's voice was loud as she waved at me. I smiled at her, walking to where she sat and taking a seat beside her. She hugged me, making me smile as I wrapped my hands around her. The class had slowly started to take their attention from me. We unlocked from the hug.
"I didn't think you'll be coming anytime soon"she squeaked, a huge smile on her face.
"Well here I am"I said and watched her smile grow wider.
"So how's it been?"she asked.
I sighed. "It's okay..I guess. I mean, it's just normal. I think that's how all arranged marriages are except for the fact Alex is more annoying"I said, rolling my eyes when I remembered his smile.
"Wow, cute couple fights, hot plus hot"Megan smiled and I glared at her. She laughed.
"So how was your first night?"
"It was okay"
"You mean.."
" Wait....What! No,we didn't do anything"I quickly said, my cheeks turning red.
"Why are you acting like it's a bad thing. He's your husband"she hit my arm.
"I know..it just feels.."I sighed.
"You know what..forget about it. We're both going to Hawaii for our honeymoon"I said making air quotes when saying 'honeymoon'.
She gasped. "So romantic, just the two of you"she smiled, looking like a pixie with her blonde hair.
A thought suddenly crossed my mind. "Why don't you come along"I said.
"What? Are you crazy? It's a honeymoon, not a general vacation"she said shaking her head.
"Com'on, the school would be on a two weeks break and don't worry, I would speak to Alex about it"I said pleadingly.
"I don't know"
"Trust me, you'll love it"I said, facing the front of the class when the teacher walked in.
* .*. *. *. *. *. *. *
I walked alongside Megan through the long hallway leading outside the School building. School was over and everyone was leaving including Megan and I.
"So I'll see you tomorrow?"I said turning to face her as we got to my already waiting ride.
"Yeah, just make sure Alex is okay with this"she said and I nodded though I didn't know exactly how I would be convincing him.
I waved at her and entered the back seat of the car, the driver driving off immediately.
I got down from the car and walked towards the house. The door was opened before I got there with Mr Michael standing behind it. He bowed when I neared.
"Welcome ma'am"he said. "Your food has been served. You take your bath and come downstairs"he said and I just nodded.
I walked up the stairs to the bedroom, then the bathroom where a bath had already been set for me.
I stripped myself and stepped into the tub of cold foamy water. I sighed leaning deeper into it, just what I needed.
I stepped out after a while, wore a jean short and a singlet since it was hot outside and went downstairs for lunch.
I laid on the bed after eating, falling into a deep sleep.
I woke up hours later to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked outside and discovered it was late evening. Picking up the phone, I discovered it was mom. I smiled and placed the phone on my ear, the call lasting for almost an hour.
I finally dropped my phone, walked to the wardrobe and pulled the doors open. Words couldn't explain how much I missed my mom. And it's been just three days. It made me wonder how the rest of my days with Alex would look like.
I shook the thought off and pulled out a big sized traveling bag from the wardrobe. I started folding different clothes inside, mostly casual clothes since it was summer and we didn't plan on going to a party.
In a different bag, I packed other necessary things I'll be needing for a two weeks trip.
I pulled the bags to a corner of the room then sat back on the bed, thinking of a possible way to tell Alex about Megan. I knew it was crazy but I didn't want to spend two weeks feeling bored.
The truth was no matter how tough I acted, he was still my husband and he had the right to say no. I stopped thinking when the door opened and he walked in.
