Chapter 16 - Part 15

The sound of the happy cheers of the children could be heard very clearly when Alland had just set foot on the green garden grass. Since Marsha left the hotel, Alland immediately ordered his people to look for Marsha's whereabouts. And a few hours later, Alland finally got the news that Marsha was in one of the parks on the outskirts of the city. Somehow the woman was able to arrive at this place considering that it was quite far from the hotel where they were staying.

Alland stepped back and found Marsha sitting on the green grass which was quite far from the crowds of people. Alland approached Marsha and positioned himself right next to her.

"You don't have to come here," Marsha said in a hoarse voice.

"You don't have to tell. I'll just accompany you," said Alland who realized that Marsha's words just now were to get rid of him.

"I don't need you. I just want to be alone."

"You can ignore me, i won't bother you." Alland's words made Marsha sigh in resignation.

Marsha got up from her seat and spontaneously Alland also followed her up.

"Can i keep your promise now?" Marsha asked when Alland looked at her confused.

"Did i promise you something?" he asked who didn't remember promising anything to Marsha.

Marsha pouted her lips cutely. "You're so forgetful Alland. You said you'd take me out for a walk if i accompanied you to meet the old man. Yes, even if i left immediately, but can i still get that?" she said in an audible tone.... pleading?

Alland smiled widely. Didn't expect that Marsha was so enthusiastic about his promise to take the woman for a walk. Of course, he would keep his promise to Marsha. At least that was all he could do to cheer up Marsha.

"Sure. Tell me where you're going," said Alland who had grabbed Marsha's hips with both hands. They were trapped in that warm embrace.

Instead of being angry, Marsha smiled widely in response to Alland's words. "I don't want to go out, but if i say my wish can you grant it?" she asked, who had returned the hug of Alland on the man's hip.

Ah, you're driving me crazy Marsha.

Alland cleared his throat. "Everything for you, baby."

Marsha smiled again happily. "Then i want you to take me somewhere, where i can cook," she said enthusiastically.

"Cook?" Alland was surprised.

"Yeah, i haven't done it in a long time. I want to cook Alland, that's all i want to do right now," she whispered as she whimpered.

Without Marsha knowing, Alland was struggling to keep the rhythm of his heart beating very fast.

"Damn it, Marsha!" he screamed in his heart.

"Then you'll get it." Alland's words made Marsha's eyes sparkle with joy. It was very clear that happiness radiated in those eyes.

Marsha tightened her grip even more. "You're the best Alland!" she screamed too happy.

Alland smiled happily to see Marsha's joy had returned and it was because of him.

"Of course and you're going to cook for our dinner, deal?"

"Deal!"

The smell of grilled meat just wafted when Marsha had just removed the steak from the grill. The woman painstakingly placed the roast beef on a plate along with a few pieces of french fries with melted mayonnaise and cheese on top of the meat. Currently, Marsha is cooking Steak Frites, a specialty from Paris. She prefers to eat it with melted mayonnaise and cheese, rather than whatever it's called, which is always served in restaurants. Alland, who had been watching Marsha in her busy schedule, had a full smile on her face. Watching Marsha cook for their dinner today made her fantasize about how they would live in the future. Ah, maybe Alland has gone mad.

"What's that?" Alland asked when Marsha had switched to snacks, such as bread.

Marsha smiled widely as she said. "This is Croque Monsieur. I've loved it since i was little and i guarantee you, you will love it!"

Alland chuckled lightly seeing Marsha's enthusiasm. "Of course. Whatever it is i'd like it," he said.

After saying that, Marsha no longer made a sound. She is still busy with her activities of arranging Croque Monsieur on two plates that look so appetizing. Marsha smiled full of seeing the results of her work.

"It's finished." Marsha's words made Alland go straight to her.

Currently, they are in a park which is located right behind the mansion belonging to the Alland family. The garden has been transformed into a kitchen that blends with nature. Alland had deliberately invited Marsha to his mansion so that she could express herself freely without being bothered by other people's attention.

Previously, there had been a small argument between the two because Marsha wanted to cook in the kitchen alone, but Alland was looking for a new atmosphere. He wanted to create a new atmosphere with Marsha. So, here they are. In a large garden filled with many plants and flowers. Even the impromptu kitchen that Alland ordered his people to look so perfect, along with a table and chairs that were only meant for two people. Perfect.

"Let me help." Alland offered, who brought the food to the round table that was there.

"How? Is it delicious?" Marsha asked curiously when Alland had just put a piece of steak into his mouth.

Alland winced at the taste of the meat in his mouth. It tastes really good. Alland could have sworn that if Marsha applied for a job as a chef, a 5-star restaurant would be waiting for her.

"Not good, huh?" she sighed disappointedly to see the frown on Alland's forehead.

"Yeah, it's not good if you just eat a piece. Your cooking is very good Marsha." Alland answered quickly, making Marsha laugh out loud.

"Is that true?"

"Do you want me to tell you this isn't good?"

"Ah, no. Then finish quickly because when it's cold it will taste different." Marsha said then started cutting her steak.

They ate in silence. Now and then Alland stole glances at Marsha, who was engrossed in the food the woman had cooked herself and didn't care about Alland, who had been busy watching her. Seeing the look of happiness on Marsha's face made Alland's heart warm.

"Where did you get your cooking skills from? I thought you were just a spoiled woman."

Marsha snorted in annoyance at Alland's sneer. After all, she is not a spoiled woman, it can be seen from the way she got her position until now.

"I'm not the woman you think i am. I can cook because my uncle taught me since i was little!" she snapped angrily.

"Can your uncle also cook?" he asked which was answered by a quick nod from Marsha.

"Of course. Where else do i get this skill of mine? Just so you know, my uncle is the greatest chef ever." she said proudly.

"Is he the only one who can be arrogant?!" Marsha thought.

Alland raised his eyebrows. It seemed he could guess who Marsha was being proud of. But is it true? If he was, why did Marsha call him uncle? We don't know if it's Alland's feelings or what, but it's clear that something is wrong in his mind. It seemed that Alland didn't know where Marsha came from.

"You're just bragging about your uncle. I'm sure you're just bragging, little bear." his chuckles provoked Marsha to open up even more.

"You don't believe it? It's up to you, i don't need to convince you of that either, it doesn't matter." she said lazily because Alland didn't believe her.

"Then, you can meet me with your uncle. If he is a great cook, your uncle must be working in a famous restaurant, right?" Alland said which immediately made Marsha bow her head deeply. Alland didn't know if Marsha missed his uncle.

"Unfortunately he's retired." her voice was low, but Alland could still hear it.

No more mistakes!

"Is your uncle named Martin Charlotte?" Alland asked aloud.

Marsha suddenly raised her head with a face that immediately turned pale. Even her eyeballs rounded in a very cute way.

"How do you know?!" she screamed.

That's right.

"Who doesn't know Martin Charlotte? He's a good cook." Alland answered calmly even though he was just as surprised when he learned the new facts about Marsha.

"Unfortunately not much is known about him," she whispered slowly and again, Alland could hear her.

Poor Marsha. Why is she speaking quietly when others can still hear her?

"So, may i ask a question?"

Marsha chose to remain silent. Would like to hear Alland's next question. Getting permission, Alland asked without hesitation.

"Why is your surname the same as Martin Charlotte's? He's your uncle isn't he?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Marsha stammers. Unfortunately, no one has ever revealed anything about her family and personal life before. And most importantly, no one should know about it.

"Of course because my daddy is the eldest and my uncle is his younger brother. Isn't it obvious?" the answer tried to sound convincing.

Alland nodded in understanding. "We're done. We'd better go inside. The night air isn't good for health." Alland said which Marsha immediately agreed. The two of them walked hand in hand towards Alland's mansion.

"Actually who are you, Marsha?" Alland said to himself and felt frustrated.
