A week has passed. However, the incident is still a strong memory for Marsha. She didn't even dare to go into her workplace the next day. Fortunately, Alland was willing to accept it, but not for the second time because the man suddenly picked her up at her apartment. Marsha was still ashamed of herself, even though Alland had said that she shouldn't have acted like that. Especially trying to avoid it.
Marsha sighed harshly. Her life was too complicated and now it was getting harder to live it.
"Huwek..." Marsha held her stomach which suddenly felt nauseous.
Currently, Marsha is at a restaurant to enjoy lunch with Alland, but because the man still has a meeting scheduled with a client, Marsha has to wait for Alland to come alone.
"Ugh..."
Again, Marsha couldn't help feeling excruciating nausea in her stomach. And the sound of her vomit sounded loud enough to make her the subject of attention. With the last of her strength, Marsha walked towards the bathroom. She dumped her entire stomach in the sink, then looked at herself who looked very pale in the mirror.
"What's wrong with me?" she muttered.
"Ouch, damn it!"
Disgusting!
Marsha shook her head weakly to dispel the dizziness that suddenly assaulted her. Slowly, Marsha took her cell phone and called someone there.
"Hello Hans, where are you?"
"I'm still in your room. Deciding what to wear for the shoot. Have you finished lunch with Mr. Stanford?" Han's voice teased Marsha on the other end.
"I wasn't with him, Hans. He's still busy right now. Could you come over here? Not far from the Stanford Group location." she said, holding back the turmoil in her queasy stomach again.
"You want me to go there? I don't want to. Mr. Stanford will be annoyed if i disturb you both." he said that he was teasing Marsha on purpose.
Marsha looked back at herself in the mirror. Her face was even paler than before.
"Hans i---huwek..."
"Hey what's wrong with you, Marsha?!" Hans screamed in panic when he heard the sound of Marsha's vomit.
"Come soon, Hans. I need you."
"Tell me what's wrong with you?!"
"Hans hurry up!"
"Okay, you wait there. Don't go anywhere!" he said that, then he had cut the call unilaterally.
Marsha took a deep breath. Even just to stand it feels too weak legs. She chose to return to her table while waiting for Hans to arrive.
"Maybe i caught a cold." she thought.
***
"WHAT?!" Marsha and Hans shouted at the same time.
They are currently in the hospital. Previously, Hans immediately went to a restaurant where Marsha was waiting for him and took Marsha to the hospital to check her condition which looked very bad. How surprised he was after getting the results of the examination. The doctor said if...
"Congratulations sir, you're about to become a father. She is already 3 weeks pregnant." the doctor said with a full smile, as a sign that the old man was also happy about this news.
Hans shook his head quickly. His eyes bulged in disbelief, even his mouth was wide open. Not far also with Marsha who was even more surprised. Marsha was shocked to hear that.
"How can doc?!" Marsha asked who still couldn't believe it.
The doctor knitted his eyebrows in confusion at the expressions of the two lovers in front of him. They should be happy to hear this news.
"Of course because your husband's seed is in your womb ma'am." the answer.
Marsha and Hans groaned in frustration.
"Didn't the doctor check it wrong?"
The doctor shook his head in surprise. "You should be happy to receive a gift from God, but looking at your expression. I doubt that you two are not husband and wife." the doctor said.
"It's not doc."
"Then who is the father of this baby?"
Marsha lowered her head deeply as Hans glared at her. The man looked scary, the aura of darkness was felt around them at this time.
"Marsha is my sister-in-law, Doc. Her future husband is still working." Hans replied that he didn't want to cause problems, considering that Marsha was a public figure.
"Ah, thank goodness you are getting married soon. May you always be happy." the doctor said.
"Thanks, doc, we're leaving now," said Hans, who then pulled Marsha out of the doctor's room.
"Explain to me, Marsha! Why are you pregnant?" Hans asked breathlessly.
He couldn't believe this had happened to Marsha. It was unusual for Marsha to be careless like this because Hans firmly believed that Marsha could always protect herself.
"I don't know," she answered slowly with her eyes still fixed on the floor below.
Hans sighed. He gripped Marsha's shoulder gently. "Tell me, who is the father of your future child?" he asked softly. Don't want Marsha to be more depressed because Hans knows for sure Marsha is feeling depressed right now.
"Told me, Marsha. Don't you want to tell me? Do you want things to get more complicated? This kid needs his dad someday Marsha. Please, don't be stubborn." call Hans again.
Marsha was forced to tell everything. The incident happened 5 months ago and also a week ago. She spoke while sobbing. She felt angry, annoyed, and frustrated at the same time. But Marsha couldn't deny if she was very happy to find someone had lived in her stomach.
"Gosh! Why are you being so careless Marsha." shrieked Hans.
"It's my fault, Hans. I shouldn't have provoked Starla's suggestion. I shouldn't have agreed to Noah's. I'm such an unlucky girl." her voice was getting louder.
Hans looked at Marsha with concern. He took her in his arms. He kissed the top of Marsha's head to calm her down.
"Don't say that Marsha. You're not a bad luck girl. Don't regret it, it's all happened." said Hans trying to comfort Marsha.
"Daddy's right Hans. I'm a bad kid." Marsha cried more and more. Hans thinks she misses her family.
"Hey Marsh, listen to me. You're not a jinxed child. You're the most beautiful gift God has given us. You're not alone Marsha, I'm here for you. Don't listen to those who want to make you give up from your life." Hans said which made Marsha's heart a little better.
Hans is indeed a manager and Marsha's best friend. She even considered Hans as her brother.
"What should I do, Hans?" she whispered worriedly.
"There's no other way. Alland should know about it." the answer made Marsha's eyes widen perfectly.
"No! Don't tell him, Hans."
"Why not? The child belongs to him too, Marsha."
"I'm scared."
"There's no need to be afraid. I'll make sure he accepts the child you brought. If he does otherwise, then he will have to face me first. I will protect you, Marsha." Hans's words made Marsha's tears flow again, moved.
"Do you think he will accept it?" she asked timidly.
"You take it easy. After all, this is the best time for you Marsha. If you are with Alland, then no one will dare to touch you. I mean, you will be safe for now." Hans said with a smile on his lips.
"A...are those guys back doing something?" she asked in a trembling voice.
"No, it's just that they seem to have found you back."
"Is that why you disappeared for a few days?" Marsha asked again, who got the nod from Hans.
"Hans. I...I don't want anything to happen to my son." she said while stroking her still flat stomach.
"I told you, take it easy. That's why Alland should know this, Marsha." the words that Hans replied made Marsha calm down.
"Okay. For my son."
"And for your happiness," he said teasing Marsha again.
Marsha gave her a sharp look. "Not like that, Hans!"
Hans chuckled. "But that's what i see. You're mesmerized by Mr. Stanford's charms."
"Hans!"
Hans laughed. He wanted Marsha like this otherwise like before.
"Okay, you're not swayed by his charms, but you already love him."
"HANS!"
"Ah, i can't wait for your wedding invitations." the temptations are relentless.
Marsha growled in annoyance, she stepped on Hans' feet hard and then left the man alone there.
"Hey, Marsha!" he screamed as he winced in pain.
"You go home alone!"
Hans laughed again. Forget the pain for a moment.
"No matter what happens, i will protect you Marsha. I promise."
