Crystal was carried to the hospital according to Vega's order. However, Vega didn't accompany her throughout the process until she got admitted to a ward like Secretary An thought he would.
"Young Master, you're not going to be with the Young Miss?"
Vega glanced towards Secretary An and silently berated him through his gaze.
Vega's cold and disgusted expressions said it all.
Secretary An awkwardly laughed, "O-Oh.. I was wrong, Young Master."
Vega merely responded, "You deal with it."
Vega left him and briskly walked to the room on the highest floor, located at the end of the hallway.
He calmly entered, sat down in the empty room, waiting for a particular person to tend to him.
Not long after, a disturbing squeal rang, filling the long hallway.
Although the room Vega was in had a decent soundproof, it wouldn't work when that voice screamed like a dying pig.
"Hahahaha! This guy is unbelievable! I tell you, he is bringing a girl to my place. Do you know how shocked I was? It was like watching a block of statue move to catch a princess!"
"It's so hilarious and incredible at the same time! Hahaha!"
The other side of the phone didn't reply and patiently listened to his friend's obnoxious chatting. He was itching to gossip too, but somehow he got a bad feeling that he should better keep his mouth shut.
The man giggling gingerly didn't notice Vega's stare when he came in.
He was busy chattering on about Vega, making the latter's eyes turn colder and colder.
The man put his phone between his ears and shoulders, grabbing a cup of coffee, and drinking it in delight.
The moment he turned around, his whole body stiffened.
"...."
It was the moment he knew, he screwed up.
Under Vega's heavy stare, he sobered and swooshed to sit down. "What brings you here?"
Upon seeing his friend's dark face, Ryen pretended to be serious.
"Do you want to consult on how to chase a girl?"
Vega's face darkened, Ryen hurriedly salvage the situation, "Right! You knew how to, but you were too shy, I assume?"
Ryen thought that was the case since Vega was a legitimate aloof man who had never been sullied by the so-called love.
For this man to take the first step must be hard.
Catching the pity in Ryen's eyes, Vega's expression turned so gloomy it could almost drip away.
"Speak properly."
"Cough! I was just kidding..."
Ryen chose to play save because Vega wasn't one to be trifled with.
Shrugging his shoulders, Ryen grinned. Playfully stating, "It was your fault, to begin with. You had never cared for a woman, but suddenly you brought an injured beautiful woman into your own car and drive together to the hospital."
"Say, are you trying to be a hero saving the damsel in distress?"
"If not, are you interested in her?"
There's no way a woman could ride with him without Vega's consent.
Vega didn't reply, his eyes dodged to the side out of nowhere. Vega himself didn't even know why he couldn't answer.
His brows furrowed hard.
Finally, he chose to not mind it. It could be reasoned that he was being polite to the mother of his children.
Vega shot a disgruntled look, He calmly said, "It seems that you are very idle nowadays."
Ryen shuddered. He had a wary expression, "No!"
The corner of Vega's mouth bent upwards, "You sure?"
"Absolutely!"
Ryen could still remember the last time Vega sent his application to do a volunteer at a remote area. The application couldn't be canceled no matter how hard he begged the management, nor how many stacks of money he threw at them.
They were just too determined to make him suffer!
When Ryen came back, even his mother almost couldn't recognize him.
His skin was dark brown and he was as skinny as a fragile thin branch. His eyes sunken from fatigue. He needed a magic wand to support him while walking.
His mother was so stressed that he got scolded for misbehaving, saying that he was like a rogue. It wouldn't have happened if he was being obedient and not teasing Vega anymore.
Ryen didn't know whether to cry or laugh. Shouldn't she get mad at Vega for abusing her son?
What a total of double standard she has.
