Ruby arrived under the watch of the employees' inquisitive gaze. Even though she felt slightly uncomfortable, her expression remained calm and composed. She kept moving forward until she got close enough to the lobby. But out of everyone's expectation, she walked past the front desk as if the two ladies standing there were just a dummy.
"Wait, Miss!" Ruby ignored them trying to stop her and pointed to one of her bodyguards. The bodyguards had a big appearance with cold and tight face. They were trailing behind Ruby with great momentum that even the security in the building would probably lose if they were to fight.
The two weren't sure how to appropriately address this problem. They looked at each other and silently agreed to brace themselves.
Luckily, the bodyguard Ruby pointed at stopped.
The leader nodded and turned back, directly saying, "Young Miss is allowed to come up by the President."
Then the bodyguard left with Ruby after dropping such a bomb. The employees around were too stunned to speak. They hadn't had the time to process or asked anything when Ruby and her entourage had gone leaving the storm brewing.
Who is this Miss?!
Why'd they never seen her before?
What is her relationship with the President, ah?!
Dying to know!!
Assistant Yi wanted to personally welcome Ruby since the last time his boss showed great care toward Young Miss. But Guy knew better not to annoy Ruby.
Ruby headed to Guy's office smoothly after she got to the top floor.
"This way, Young Miss."
Assistant Yi guide her through and paused in front of a black door. "President, the Young Miss's here."
A deep, calm voice replied immediately, "Come in."
Ruby walked in while the rest stood outside. She took a quick glance around the office and commented rather off-handedly, "It's quite nice."
Guy just smiled in response. He got up from behind the desk to sit on the sofa with her.
"Do you want cake?"
Ruby lightly nodded.
"Want milk tea?"
She shook her head, "Plain water will do."
"Alright. I will tell him to prepare it." Guy unhurriedly relayed the order to Secretary Yi.
Ruby looked at him strangely, "I thought you have prepared it in advance."
'You asked me and here I thought it will be out in any second.'
But actually, it's just a ruse to buy some time, huh?
Ruby stared at Guy who apparently didn't try to defend himself. This person didn't even look guilty at all for wasting her time.
Ruby softly snorted. Might as well jump to the point right now.
"It's like this... I want to try acting."
Guy's movement in pouring the water halted. He dubiously asked, "Acting?"
"Yeah. It looks promising being an actress."
She was a pro when it comes to disguising. Hence, acting shouldn't be a problem.
Guy was speechless. Staying as a wealthy daughter is more promising than being an actress though.
"Wait. Give me a minute."
Guy ended up drinking the water in both their glasses. After he took a deep breath to calm down, he put his palms to cover his face. Hiding a contemplative look.
The thought of his little sister going to battle his stepsister flashed through his mind. He practically felt the incoming headache.
Both of them had connections to Heather's family. The potential of Ruby and Crystal harming each other is high. The nose of reporters or paparazzi couldn't be underestimated either.
It's not like Guy couldn't afford to protect Ruby. He just had a faint worry regarding Ruby's mentality.
He can't let Ruby take a worse turn after finally getting better.
"How about this, why don't you try going to the academy of acting first? Then we will talk about it again later after you... Mm.. have adjusted."
Ruby didn't completely resist his idea. She thought for a moment, "Won't it be too late?" She was referring to the entertainment circle. As it is said that the younger you jump into the circle the better the resources you can get.
Of course, Guy also understood the meaning behind her words. "You have nothing to worry about. Why do you think I'm here?"
Ruby raised one of her eyebrows. That was some confidence coming from him. It's a pity not to take advantage of it.
"Will I go to the same academy as Crystal?"
Guy was silent. He then said reassuringly, "You can choose not to. There's still another qualified academy you can attend."
"Oh." Ruby smiled brilliantly which almost blinded her big brother's eyes. "I want to be with Crystal."
If before Ruby didn't give a damn about the storyline, now she was curious. She took the twins in and disrupted Vega's fated meeting with both kids. The plot should deviate from its previous line. It would no longer be the same.
Ruby was curious about the aftereffects she has caused to the main character's storyline. It would do her good to gain first-hand information from observing Crystal. And maybe watching the play going along the way.
Guy had a lot of thoughts in his head but he didn't show them in front of Ruby. He agreed without saying much.
Their eyes met in the air. Ruby's expression cooled down. She solemnly said, "I owe you."
"I will definitely repay it."
Guy chuckled lightly. So this is the deal, huh?
In fact, this can't be called a deal. It's a favor Ruby asked from him. But Ruby just had to be that rigid to call it a deal.
Guy's heart was itchy. It seems like his little sister doesn't know the difference between a favor and a deal. Really adorable.
Guy pulled a soft smile, "Okay. I look forward to it."
"However, there's no need to rush."
At the right time, Secretary Yi came in holding a tray full of cakes from each flavor. Eyeing the delicious treats spread across from her greedily, Ruby decided to linger around for some time.
Guy took out his tea set from the drawer and brewed it for Ruby to drink with the cakes. He sipped and enjoyed the rare moment of peacefulness.
"You left the twins alone?"
"No. I hired a nanny to look after them while I'm not home."
"The nanny lived in your apartment?"
Ruby took a big bite of the jiggly cake. Her head rattled and she said, "No. I let her stay in the apartment downstairs."
"Can I meet the kids next time?"
Her hand paused mid-air, "Mm.... No."
"Alright."
They ended the conversation right there and then until the time Ruby went back.
Guy calmly acknowledge that he was starting to get used to this bizarre way of interaction.

Crystal anxiously pulled her manager's sleeves. She asked with a hint of expectation in her eyes, "How is it? Did the call get through?"
Shishi was annoyed with Crystal since it's been hours and she kept asking the same thing. But Shishi couldn't really snap out at her. She tried her best to restrain her emotion and said begrudgingly, "The call is rejected. I think he blocked me."
"Block you?! How can he do this!" Crystal exclaimed. She didn't expect the other party to went so far as to make this move.
Shishi rolled her eyeballs. Even she could figure out why. They've been calling since the sun comes out till the day almost ended. It was a relief that they didn't get stabbed by annoying people to death.
Unfortunately, Crystal was too hung up to consider whether this is appropriate or not. Shishi also didn't say anything to educate her because she was afraid she would be the one who would get educated by Crystal's extraordinary way of thinking.
"The nurse must be lying to us. She must have given us a fake business card to tease us on purpose!"
Nobody is as idle as you, Shishi sneered inwardly.
Crystal was fuming. Her nerves which hadn't calmed down after being disowned were further agitated. If even she couldn't accept being thrown by the Heather family, all the more she couldn't accept getting this chance slip out of her palm.
It was fuzzy memory but she was convinced that the man who get her out of her car and accompanied her to the hospital is the man she slept with in the past!
She vaguely remembered his handsome face and tall body. The stiff and broad shoulders which he lent for her to lean on. It made her heart thump like crazy. Her cheeks were dyed red when she recalled that particular scene.
Later when she woke up and couldn't find the man, she was utterly disappointed. She told Shishi to ask around to find his information, which fortunately was quite easy to do. There was also a nurse who give them the man's business card that was left behind for contact.
Then, why?!
Why is he not answering the phone call?
For Crystal, picking a man from a thousand miles away is easy. However, it was harder than wishing for a star to make her fall in love.
That man was a match made in heaven for her. The one and only person who can shake her heart.
Crystal shouted angrily, "I'm going to settle the account with that little b*tch!"
Shishi's face instantly changed. "You can't."
Shishi ran to grab Crystal's hand and pulled her back to the bed. Crystal's anger was about to snap, but Shishi couldn't care less.
"Don't be rash, Crystal. Young Master Arsen is on his way to visit you. What if he heard it?"
"Arsen is coming?"
"Yes. Now, calm down. You can't meet him in this state."
"It should be fine. He has seen worse than this." Crystal took it lightly. She shrugged her shoulders. But she still tidied up her appearance.
"You should refrain from making some big movement now. The media is trying to catch some hot news from you. Especially since there's a leak that you were kicked out from Heather. They are saying that you got into the car crash on purpose to gain pity."
"Although I didn't do it on purpose, this could work too."
Crystal sneered. She didn't believe Madam Heather was being serious. Crystal was confident this incident would be temporary. It's probably just to appease Ruby and silently buried this scandal to avoid the public's eyes.
Anyway, Crystal had never thought that the foundation she had built could easily crumble.
