Vega muttered disinterestedly, "Alright then."
Ryen sighed in relief. He maneuvered the topic back on the track, "So why are you here?"
"The pills don't work."
"That's weird. I've had increased the dose."
"Do it again."
Ryen flat out rejected, "No. It's dangerous. Besides, you can't keep relying on these pills."
It was already harmful downing a lot of meds, but Vega was asking for more. Does he want a cure or poison?
Ryen's brows wrinkled in doubt, he recalled there was nothing wrong with the prescription and it work wonderfully on Vega prior to this.
He dubiously asked, "When did it get worse?"
"Last week."
Ryen thought carefully before he began to wonder. He couldn't help but get serious, "Did something happen? As you know, the headache comes from the pressure within you. It's not an illness."
Vega also thought the same, but he had checked every little thing that happened a week ago without any result.
Vega quietly said, "Nothing comes to my mind."
Ryen scratched his cheek, baffled. "Well.. I will look into it. There should be a way to lighten the pain aside from meds."
"Speaking of which, I got some winds regarding Heather's family."
Ryen derailed from the initial topic as his gossipy side ignited. He slapped his thigh in excitement.
Vega silently stared at him. Originally, he was going to leave before Ryen started to babble, however, he was a bit curious now since it was from that woman's family.
Ryen didn't notice the slight change in Vega's expression.
"Coincidentally, their family's long-lost daughter tried to kill herself last week. Though, she didn't die. I have no idea why she was so lucky, but apparently, there was no damage to her body! She could even discharge right after the day."
Ryen was kinda speechless when he consider that incident, "It was simply outrageous. I have never seen such a tough person. Is she an immortal?"
Vega was also surprised. Even though he ordered his men to observe Crystal, it was mainly about her. He didn't pay any attention at all to Heather's family. At last, they were just Crystal's adopted family.
For such a thing to happen, it had to be a big accident. Is that why Crystal was crying?
However, for some reason, he felt it was unlikely.
Ryen kept on chattering, "Although Ruby Heather was pitiful, don't you think it's a shame to suicide?"
"I mean, it's not like she was forced to a dead end."
"She....-"
"It can't be..-"
Regrettably, while Ryen's lips mouth kept moving, Vega couldn't follow it. His brain stopped the second the word 'Ruby' jumped out of Ryen's lips.
Out of a sudden, the headache occurred again. An unimaginable pain attacked his head making him groan in agony. His head was pounding heavily, to the extent that he could only see black in front of him.
A muffled groan came out, "Ugh.."
Ryen was frightened, He jolted awake and rushed to Vega's side, "Hey! Are you okay? Should I call a doctor?!"
He was a psychiatrist, therefore he wasn't sure what to do in this situation.
Vega gritted his teeth, "..No."
His eyes reddened and the veins in his hands bulge from restraining himself not to swallow the person before him.
Ryen had no choice but to abide by Vega's demand. He worriedly pace around Vega while hesitating if this was a good choice.
Fortunately, it lasted for a minute before the pain gradually subsided.
Ryen stroked his chest to calm down, "You scared me!"
Then he started to conjure up a conclusion, "There was nothing in here that could possibly put pressure on you. Maybe, there was another cause behind the recent attack?"
Vega lightly nodded in response.
Ryen sighed, "You should go back. I will have to study it for a while."
