His bright body peeked at the rift where he was hiding.
"Looks like the wolf is finally gone. I thought it will stay here for a little longer, but maybe the wolf realized that I'm not worthy of its time. I need to get out of here before it came back."
The wolf finally left after an hour of trying to get him.
He floated at the edge of the walls.
"I think fighting a gigantic wolf head-on is not a good idea. If I want to level up, I need to start from the bottom first. I need to find something I can defeat using my overpowering skill."
Out of a sudden, an eerie sound screeched not far from his position. He immediately went to the nearest hole and hid. He could hear screeching sounds all around him.
He looked around and all he could see were the darkness and an uncountable number of red lights on the ceiling of the cave.
"Were all those lights already there before?"
Some of the red lights moved and pointed their gazes at him.
"What was that?"

Some of the red lights flew towards him while generating a loud screeching noise.
He started to move inwards the hole. "I have a bad feeling about this."
He felt a painful sensation all over his body as if something slashed him. His body trembled because of the extreme pain the attack inflicted on him.
"It hurts!"
He went inside the deeper part of the hole.
"Why it hurts! I thought I have a Pain nullification?"
A claw drove inside the hole and almost caught him. All he could do was scream out of surprise.
"What the hell!"
He rushed inside and accidentally stumbled to a gap at the wall, a small hole that could lead somewhere.
"I need to get out of here now, I don't want to fight a swarm of giant bats in this condition."
Due to his small proportion, he managed to push his way inside the hole and use it as means of escape from the grave danger waiting for him outside.
"It still hurts! How long before the Pain Nullification kicks in? Don't tell me, just like Nature's blessing, Pain nullification also has a weak effect. I feel terrible as if something is leaking out of me."
The hole that was just wide enough for him to fit, occasionally he was getting stacked and just dragging his body to continue. While drifting, his body left some white particles on his trail caused by the wound he got from the bat's attack earlier.
"I felt my body is getting weaker because of the damage I took earlier. I didn't expect that single attack could do that much harm on me."
Slowly, the light on his body lit off. All that left was a white entity that looked like a pearl with a visible crack around its body made by the claws of the bat pounced on him.
"I feel a little bit... drowsy."
[Activating species skill, Hibernation.]
His body went on rest as his body's own way to recover from the injuries he received.
While sleeping his body gradually regenerated on its own by absorbing the concentration of mana around the area, for a place full of magical monsters it was not a hard task. The only problem was, how long the procedure would take.
As if he returned to life, his circular body began to glow again. The injuries finally healed.
"Did I fell asleep?" He noticed his status screen in front of him.

"What! I slept for more than two days!"
"Why you didn't wake me up, Guide lady?"
"Hmmm."
"Guide lady, what is Pain nullification?"
[Pain nullification.]
[A skill that will reduce the pain from the damage inflicted to the user. The effect varies depending-]
"Why you didn't wake me up? And also the Pain nullification didn't reduce any amount of damage at all!"
He stopped for a moment and feel his body.
"I feel alright now, all my injuries are gone, but I don't remember having a regeneration skill."
[Nature spirits are mana entities, due to their species' hidden skill [Hibernation] they can recover any non-instant kill or poison injuries by absorbing the mana around them while in sleep. The duration of the process varies depending on how severe the injuries are.]
"What a convenient ability for a species consists of entities who are for some reason contented to use the entirety of 30 days of their remaining lives just hovering around."
After few days of resting his body moved again and floated forward.
"What should I do now? I only have 27 days left before this awful body meets its own end. I need to do something, I don't want to die again without achieving anything in this life."
He floated for few hours and finally found a hole he could use to get out of the small passage he was in. What greeted him was a one-meter-wide path. His eyes wandered around looking for any signs of enemies.
"Clear."
He revealed his body and floated forward. He was not even far from the hole he came from when something immediately jumped from the ceiling.
He tried to evade it, but the impact made him flew out.
"Give me a break!"
[Small lesser Gaia centipede LVL 1.]
A one foot long red centipede covered in a hard exoskeleton, using its numerous legs the centipede crawled to the nearest rock and raised its pincers, locking on him.
"What part of it is small?"
The centipede proceeded to charge on to him.
"I don't think I can outrun this monster, activate nature's blessing!"
He pointed his aim to the centipede and without any delayed magic attack burst out and assaulted the centipede, a splash of water covered the centipede's face that made it interrupted for a second.
"Water, really? I'm damned aren't I?"
The centipede continued its charge towards him.
"I don't know what's gonna happen if I do this but... activate Nature's blessing!"
The centipede lunged on with its pincer ready to sliced him off, but a weak wind current stopped the huge centipede. The effect was weak but enough to make the centipede flinched.
"RNG go!"
A consecutive barrage of attacks followed it up. Water, Wind, and fire magic were getting fired. The centipede growled while being incapacitated due to the endless attacks coming from the small ball of light.
While firing multiple attacks he repositioned himself as far as possible, but with enough distance, so he could still hit the centipede.
"I've been using lots of skills, how long before my mana exhaust?"
[Nature Spirits are mana entities, if their own mana is not sufficient, they can perform magic by using the mana around them instead.]
"What? How come I didn't know about it?"
